I came to Strength for Life in March 2025 after a few months of PT for shoulder tendonitis. I'm…read morefortunate to have found this active program. Its approach is comprehensive: 100 % supervised, full-body regimens with personalized modifications and progress tracking. I've tried different systems for strength-training in gyms and on my own, but none gave me the results I've seen and felt in the past year. I am the most physically fit I've been in my life, and I relish the boost in my mental and emotional health from every session. Plus, I've never experienced difficulty finding or rescheduling sessions to work for me, so I've found it easy to keep the habit going. The community is unexpectedly wonderful as well. I enjoy the intergenerational semi-private group sessions and the relationships I build with other members. The spirit created is non-competitive, calm, friendly, and light-hearted. There's no intimidation. Edward, Giancarlo, and Felice are fantastic trainers. I feel amazed that I continue to learn something new about a workout, strategy, machine, muscle function, etc. at every single session. These three know their subject. They are kind, patient, and engaging with me and other members across gender identities, ages, and other demographics. I finished my rehabilitation in 2025. But, I continue my membership at Strength for Life and highly recommend them. Sure, I benefit from addressing issues that arise in other body parts. But more importantly, the program excels at meeting my weekly strength-training needs and giving me the other outcomes I detail above. P.S. The organization doesn't market or post on social media much, and the website is no longer running. I contacted the team using the phone number provided.

Dylan and Steve both helped me and have pushed me to be were I want to be ! When I started here I was in a workout rut. ( attending a local gym ; having no idea how to use machines, or how to get in shape). I came here for a free consultation to figure out what needed to be done !! I now attend the semi-private training classes and come weekly ! It is affordable and just what I needed to get and stay in shape ! They also have yoga and massage at the facility ! Both extremely helpful after workouts !

My first set of classes, I left already planning to maximize my time. Typically, in a new city, I try several different places before settling on one I like. I couldn't sign up fast enough, after my first evening workout. The Jiu Jitsu instruction is solid. Brian McLaughlin has a lot of knowledge to pass on, and his students benefit from his enthusiasm and desire to teach. The advanced class is before the lower level class, which is opposite of most places. Kids classes are also offered, and there are TVs in the sitting area to watch your kid and get yourself motivated to sign up for your own classes. Most boxing classes at other gyms are focused on just cardio or fitness bag work. Not so much here. You are going to get a solid boxing coach and training with drills to solidify what you learn. You will get the conditioning to go along with it. I'm not much for Muay Thai, but if you are in to that, I'm sure the training here is on par with everything else. Train here. You won't regret it!

The whole staff was extremely courteous and welcoming. The techniques Prof. Brian went through were great and I even had the opportunity to go a couple rounds with him. The space was large and super clean which is always a plus for a gym. The vibe was also fun and there was definitely a sense of community. If you are in Poughkeepsie and you're looking for a great place to train BJJ, Muay Thai, or Boxing, look no further than Precision!

I made minimal improvement at the other PTs, who unfortunately, due to insurance, have no choice but to treat many patients at once and have other untrained staff members showing the exercises, with little direction, while the PT pays no attention to your form. And not very much one-on-one time. Tired of paying for what amounted to unsupervised exercises in a gym setting, I knew there was something better for me out there. I found Justin through an Internet search and it was exactly what I was looking for - a personal PT trainer :) And now that I've been seeing him I know I'd never go back to conventional PT. One hour a week, totally devoted to me - and not the same prescribed print-out of exercises that everyone pigeon-holed with 'back and neck pain' gets. Our time is spend with him doing hands on manual work and targeted exercises, specific to my issues, that change weekly. He had me stop doing most of what I was doing and explained in detail why they were either not helpful, or too advanced and how I had gained 'fake strength'. I was shocked, surprised and hopeful. He is understanding, patient, explains the methods and exercises in a relatable way and always takes time to answer questions (and I have ALOT of them). I'm always impressed with his knowledge and expertise in his field. He is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, which makes a difference. I love the fact that he shoots video of you doing the exercises so you can watch at home to make sure you're performing them correctly- so helpful! My progress has been a bit slow, but it's the right kind of progress, not a quick fix, and I trust his knowledge and methods completely! I refer him often.

The orthopedist advised him to begin physical therapy to begin the arduous road back to lifting. I did the research and found Justin Feldman. I called his office; he answered the phone. BONUS ! I spoke at length with him, asking many questions including why he didn't participate in insurance plans. He was patient and gave detailed, thoughtful responses to each query. BONUS ! I told him I would discuss and call for an appointment if so inclined. He offered to speak with my husband in depth if necessary. BONUS ! Factoring into our decision to use Justin as well : I have had a lot of PT over the past 3 years. The outstanding facility I used doesn't participate in our insurance plan, and it would have been challenging to get the time in necessary, as well as being quite costly. The facilities that participate are unknown entities, and there is a co-pay each time. The other factor that glared out was Justin's methodology: 1 client for 1 hour once a week, with written instructions for home practice. We made the appointment, and the first visit was a good one. The second was even better, as Justin spent time following the hourlong session teaching and explaining to my husband about his injury and the anatomy and physiology of healing. No one had been able or willing to answer the many questions and concerns my 56 y/o power lifter had regarding his future activities utilizing an important muscle..... Justin took the time and had the expertise to present the facts- he even used a computer anatomy app to illustrate and explain. Justin Feldman is a consummate professional. He practices his art in an holistic manner.... healing is a full body/mind experience and Justin understands and celebrates the connection. As middle aged, active people, we will keep Justin Feldman as an important member of our "graceful aging " team.

We brought her up here and used two different trainers (one in Texas) before we found Felix. His method and compassion for training seemed to transform Sara from a crazy hyper dog who would run away off leash to a well behaved dog who loves to run around the yard now without any incidents, off leash. Please keep in mind we've been through 2 trainers that wanted absolutely nothing to do with her. Also recommended euthanasia. Also, no one would board her. No one. I had to put on my horse boots so I could get a better grip on the ground because she was pulling so hard to either go after him, or me pulling he towards the house and let me tell you- Mastiffs are strong. And I work with horses. Lol. She HATED her new trainer. Barked aggressively at him and threatened him. Felix Rosado was un-phased and calm. It took a lot of logistics and strength to get her into his house and in a crate (I had to do it because she was definitely going to bite him with me around) Felix again, unphased. Almost an hour long drop off. A lot of drama. I admit, I cried in the car afterwards. Then I was thinking....WTF. How is he going to handle her or get near her?! She wanted to eat him. Felix's references put my mind at ease and I did my best not to think about it. This is my baby. I stress. Nope. For once, I felt comfortable. I found someone with the balls to work with her. I respect the shit out of anyone willing to risk an attack to wrk with a misunderstood, aggressive dog. He's obviously very passionate about what he does. That in itself speaks volumes. Not only did Felix keep in touch with me throughout her stay with updates (I call them "PupDates"), he sent me a video of him scratching her, giving massages that same night Nala was putty in his hands. I picked her up today, she didn't give a shit about me. Loved him. LMAO. I came home from my trip with a very happy dog that made a new friend/trainer. I look forward to working more with them both because they're a great couple. I'm so happy and relieved. Thank you Felix Rosado!
