Dining options in Poteau are rather slim pickens. This downtown restaurant probably has the nicest interior of any in town and the food is good. I had the roast beef sandwhich and my friend had a hamburger both with their home made chips. It was good. The menu does have some entrees on it and prices are reasonable. I moved to Poteau 1 1/2 years ago and have been told by many people that this was "the" restaurant in town. Well there is not much to compare them too here but I have gone three time and all three times I have been disappointed. Three time you are out. I ordered the pork chop which was ok but wanted a healthier alternative to their side choices of potatoe wedges, potatoe salad or baked potato so I ordered the steamed veggies for a whopping 1.25 extra charge. What I expected for the additional money was not what I got. What I got was a small bowl of frozen Veggie that were luke warm swimming in some awful beef broth stuff. The bread I received also was a half of a sub roll, hardly buttered and barely grilled. Sorry Warehouse Willies. You are no longer on my restaurant list. read more

Small town restaurant with a big town flavor. - Note the hours of operation as part of the afternoon is closed. - Friendly servers but not very helpful for the first timer. Couldn't really offer me suggestions. She just said, "everything is good" - I had the pork chop and my wife the steak. Both were flavorful and the portions were quite large. Good value! - Atmosphere is fun and casual. Lots of wall decorations and lights. It is a tight space and the tables are close, however still comfortable. - Low volume rock / blues music playing so it was easy to hold a conversation. They also have a stage where (I guess) live bands can play. - Restrooms are tight and are not ADA (wheelchair) compliant so I'm sorry say that this may not be a good place to go if you have such requirements. They are also a one-holer, so there will be a line. - This is a slower eating place. Not a quick 'serve ya up' place. You will need more time to eat here, but this is great if you are looking for someplace to spend with friends. - No freaking knives are on the table... So ask if you need one to cut you salad or appetizers. I would go here again, and would recommend to anyone near Poteau. read more

While passing through on our way to Broken Bow, we stopped here for lunch. What a great experience! Friendly service and wonderful food! I had the gumbo (beware- has a kick) and my husband and daughters had burgers. The food was absolutely delicious. We loved the interior of the restaurant because it was full of memorabilia. If you want fantastic food, Warehouse Willy's is the place to go!! The fried pickle fries and mud bugs are absolutely amazing and the "special sauce" that comes with them is the best!!! I can't say enough about the gumbo.... I've never had better, not even in New Orleans. Though the jalapeño stuffed shrimp is amazing, I usually go with the grilled chicken breast with the Italian sauce!! It is so good!!! We eat there monthly at least. This place is a couple of hours from my house, but we will make the drive to Poteau just to eat here. Literally the best steak you could ever order. I rarely eat steak without any kind of sauce, but this steak just doesn't need anything. It melts in your mouth. Their mudbugs and fried green beans are the perfect way to start you meal. This restaurant was recommended by the hotel clerk. Looked it up on 3 sites and read the reviews. Usually order what others recommend and am not disappointed. The steak was very good. The mud puppies...either it was an off night or other people like deep fried rubbery food. Don't order the shrimp, it was over cooked. The gumbo was good and very filling. Bar selection...very limited. Next time we are in Potesu, we'll try another place. If you eat here, definitely have steak. read more

I took my wife here for her birthday and having never been here before was I pleasantly surprised. I looked at all the reviews(which were mostly 4 or 5 stars) we decided on the ribeyes. We started off with a cup of Gumbo which was excellent and a Long Island Tea. The drinks were also excellent. The steaks came cooked to perfection and served with a loaded baked potato(our choices). I'm ready to go back and sample the rest of the menu. The price is very reasonable and the staff and servers were very good and helpful. I can't believe I have lived in the area and never tried this quiet little restaurant. It is a couple of blocks off the road in Poteau but well worth the drive. I would definitely recommend Warehouse Willy's to anyone wanting an excellent, affordable meal. 5 Stars for me!!!! read more

Willy, I came to you under positive recommendation, I'm sorry to say I did not walk out with the same review. Maybe you were having an "off" night or maybe my choice of food should have been different. Unfortunately I believe you should be able to order anything off a menu and receive good food - if that isn't possible, take the lackluster dishes off the menu. I hear the steaks are good as are the mudbugs, but I tried neither. I wasn't in an experimental mood and opted for the chicken fingers, potato wedges and figured I'd have the gumbo and bread instead of the usual salad. The gumbo came, it was fair, but a little bland, the okra was the only redemption for the dish. Later my entree came out and there on it lay the bread that was supposed to come with my gumbo... Now, why would I need the bread with my entree? I already had 3 pieces of breaded chicken on the plate. The bread was the bottom half of a sesame seed bun, barely toasted, when I don't eat the bread on my plate, you know it's bad because that was my cheat night where I go carb happy. I feel it was wasted. The chicken fingers were average, like they were taken out of a frozen bag of Tyson chicken strips and thrown in the deep fryer, not terrible, but I could make it at home. The place is cute inside, cluttered walls, random memoribilia and sweet waitresses, but the high places need a good dusting, I sat under a stuffed bird of some sort am you could see the dust falling off - I covered my drink and food. My family seemed to like their shrimp and our guests enjoyed their steak, so please don't take this as a purely negative review, it is based off my experience and I've only been there once. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll give a second review and order something else. read more

We stopped here for dinner during our day-long foliage road trip. I'd seen something online about this place and was looking for something different. When we got there I wasn't sure if it was going to be more bar than restaurant since we couldn't see inside the building, but we went in anyway. It is definitely more restaurant than bar, although it was nice that we were able to get a beer and mixed drink with our meal. We tried the Mud Bugs (battered crawfish bites) as an appetizer and they were a nice start to a perfect meal. We both got the Garlic Grilled Shrimp with the Gumbo and our choice of potato. The gumbo was delicious! I was really afraid it would be fishy tasting since it had shrimp & crawfish, but it wasn't. It had a nice after burn from the spices in it, but wasn't too spicy. There were 12 large shrimp that had a perfect sear on them and coated with a thin layer of their garlic sauce. (my mouth is watering for this right now just thinking of it again) We also shared a piece of their caramel, chocolate cheese cake to finish off the meal. Everything we had was delicious! I just wish they weren't 3 1/2 hours away from home. :( If you find yourself in Poteau, be sure to have a meal at Warehouse Willey's. You will be VERY glad you did. read more
