This is a fairly consistent experience of an upscale restaurant in Manson, but it's Manson so set your expectations accordingly. Enjoyed a nice anniversary dinner on their outside patio. Cocktails were tasty and the food (chicken risotto & pork chops) was perfectly cooked and came out quickly. This place was perfect for us with 2 toddlers and 2 babies in our group while still wanting to get a nice, sit down meal. They have a huge outdoor area with outdoor games, a slide, and swings. We sat outdoors and the kids were able to get up and run around during dinner which is what we needed after a long day in the sun! Wine was great, the food and service were good. A little disappointed when the Bistro Fries came out with the steak and I realized they were the same McDonalds type fries from the kids menu. Yessss! This was one of my favorite places to wine taste in Chelan! I went here with a few other girls and we opted to sit outside between wine tastings. We ordered a cheese and meat plate and layed out in the sun. The winery was very slow, so a woman came out and served us our wine tastings in the sun! She was so kind and funny and had great recommendations on wine options. Then she brought out the cheese and meat plate which was AMAZING! It was such a delicious and wonderful treat to pair with the wine and big enough to share with a group of 4. We ended up buying a few bottles of wine (which waves the tasting fee), and the prices were all very fair and reasonable! The food was excellent. The ambiance was great. The service was absent. When we arrived, they asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside. We said whatever opened first When our table was ready, the hostess led us past several open tables inside, to an outside table. When we inquired if we could sit inside if it was too cold, we were told there were heaters, and that "maybe they could work something out", as though they would have a hard time seating us inside So we sat outside. And sat. And sat. After 39 minutes, we had seen a bus boy, but no server. And it was cold, even under the heater. We watched them start vacuuming the inside, as they never sat anyone there after our arrival. One of our party went to inquire. The hostess came out, apologized, and left. About 5 minutes later a server came to our table. We ordered drinks and food, as we were afraid we'd never see her again The food came. Two of us ordered the same steak, but to different doneness. We were given the wrong steaks. The waitress was there as we were trading steaks and made no comment or apology. This was the last we saw if our server for another half hour. No drink refills or other effort was made to tend to us Disappointing. The food was very good. But the service leaves a lot to be desired. I doubt we will be back. . read more

My wonderful evening last night at the Wapato Grill began the moment I exited the car and overcome by the sweet aroma of blooming flowers (wisteria?). They have a gorgeous building with lights, flowers, trees, and wood decor that makes everything feel a little more special. The meal was just as much of a treat as the ambiance. We are on the patio, our meal also accompanied by the wonderful flower smells. We started with the special appetizer, fried Brussels sprouts with a mustard reduction and truffle aioli. The sprouts were perfectly crispy and tasted fresh, and the sauces added a good punch of flavor. I was drinking their Cristalino Brut, which was excellent considering it was only five per glass. Dry, a little more yeasty than mineraly. At that price, I'm going to see if I can find it at the store. I don't usually find good cheap bubbles by the glass at restaurants. Then, another of the specials, an entree of gnocchi with crab and creamy pesto. I admit, I'm used to being disappointed by the amount of crab accompanying dishes. It's always a little less than I'd prefer. This was the perfect amount of crab, so I could enjoy it with every bite. S. Had the special Double-R ranch ribeye with bourbon gravy, and it was cooked to perfection. Tender, bursting with meaty flavor under the just salty enough gravy to make the mouth water for more. It had an unexpected side of snow peas that were tasty and crunchy. We were too stuffed to enjoy dessert (the food portions are filling), but there were at least three I seriously contemplated before succumbing to my stomach's plea, "no more!" Good wine, great location! The indoor area is small and quaint with some nice decor. Can't put my finger on it but I've not felt overly welcomed here. The staff was not rude but I just didn't get that warm welcomed vibe here. It was as if the ladies had something better they would rather be doing. I'll have to go back in again to see if the vibe gets better. The wine membership offers a good discount at the restaurant, Winemakers Grill which is AMAZING. Their sister winery, Lake Chelan Winery (same owner) has a much bigger location with an excellent gift shop and cheese shop. Located in the fantastic little village of Manson, this is THE BEST restaurant in Chelan Valley. Quality food, great service, quaint setting, and reasonable prices for a winery and upscale restaurant. Perfect for a romantic dinner, family or group dinner, or just a good meal by yourself. Wine tasting room is fairly large and always well staffed. They offer a free wine tasting (limited pours) or a $10 tasting for their better wines (waived with purchase). Although it's top notch, both the tasting room and restaurant are very casual. Wapato Point Cellars has a good selection of wines, all quality, and most priced for anybody's budget. Winemakers Grill menu offers a good variety of American food favorites, as well as a kids menu. Wine tasting room switches to full bar at 5:00 pm when the restaurant opens. I recommend arriving at 4:30 pm for wine tasting, then dinner about 5:30 or 6:00. In the summer, the outdoor seating is great. No corkage fee in restaurant if you bring your own bottle of wine from ANY local Chelan Valley winery. Tonight was my second visit for wine tasting followed by dinner, and once again HIGHLY satisfied. Coming back next week! read more

If you are from out of town, and like to make believe that you are actually happy and sucessful back home, then you will fit right in here. This place survives on unsuspecting first time tourists. We had dinner here last weekend. Things started off fine as we were seated within 25 minutes. However, after ordering a bottle of wine, which our waitress forgot about, things went downhill in a hurry. We finally received the bottle of wine after reminding the manager 35 minutes later. The overpriced salmon dish that i ordered, 45 minutes earlier and rudely dropped onto our table with the other dishes, was a huge disappointment! It turned out to be a very small piece of over cooked, dried out fish, on a bowl of noodles? If you like water, you may want to think about bringing your own. Staying the week at Wapato Point and figured we give the featured place a try. Have been twice. First time was all right. Lots of space between diners, staff all with masks on (if you count the girl with it down below her nose.) Food was ok. Listening to rabid loud republicans was tough. Second visit was very disappointing. We had to ask to move outside when the conversation at the next table started to go off the "hoax" of Covid. They accomodated us and we carried our untouched basket of bread outside. We asked the waitress to take the bread away because of flies, and watched her take it and place it on another table. And the girl with her nose hanging out was working again. My ceaser salad with prawns was good. The prawn skewer my husband ordered with mixed vegetables was skimpy and the veggies were sauteed snap peas not mixed with anything else. Won't be back. read more

Attached to the time share place we walked over to this place. Super crowded and a long wait. They said they were short staffed. At one point I was ready to go and they told us the staff needed a 10 min break before taking on more tables. I am glad we stayed, but looking around there were several tables just sitting/drinking and check was paid for. Felt like the wait wasn't justified. However, the server was friendly and another kept the water full. We had ordered drinks at the bar but got something different for dinner. Washington cherry cider is definitely the way to go here. We did a wine flight and I didn't like any of the wines. Not my place for wine I guess!? Even though I was hungry we really weren't in the mood for a large dinner and actually only got appetizers.The bread they serve is pretty good and was filling me up. Fire prawns were tasty. Good flavor. Husband had the gouda BBQ quesadilla. Whoa, this was excellent. Why haven't I thought to use gouda at home like this? Large serving and husband shared with me. I know we had dessert but what exactly I can't remember. Maybe one of the fresh menu items offered that night b/c I don't see it on the menu online. I went to a mini vacation in Manson, WA. Using the GPS, after driving in circles and going through neighborhoods,it lead me to the back of an elementary school. As I found out later, most locations have two addresses per location. Go figure. In order for me to find it, I chose S Quetilquasoon Rd instead of the North Quet. address. If your GPS is giving you issues, just look up the address for Mountain View Lodge and it is located right behind there by the 76 gas station and the Red Apple Market. Upon arrival on a Sunday evening, the interior of the place was very cozy and had a neat fireplace that warmed the dining area tables. This Sunday's special (changes every week I believe) was the three course meal that gave you a choice of soup or salad to start, beef skewers with rice pilaf and aspargus spears and a dessert for $25. All of the other offerings were priced very reasonably as well. In addition to the my 3 course meal order, my spouse ordered the lamb chops with a glass of wine. They had an interesting wine called the 2008 Harmony, a mixed wine that consisted of 75% Pinot Grigio and 25% Gewurztraminer. I had to try that and glad I did! The salad had a nice fresh taste to it with their slightly oily vinegratte with some gorganzola cheese sprinkled on top that worked nicely. The hot bread was also quite good with the creamy butter as we waited for our entrees. The beef skewers had good flavor and was tender and marinated just right. The rice pilaf was moist and was expertly seasoned along with the asparagus. But the real showstopper has to be the grilled lamb chops that was beautiful to look as it was to eat. A perfect wine glaze complemented the lamb well and can easily leave a smile on your face. The baked potato and asparagus that accompanied the lamb rack also helped to make the dish complete. Finally, we shared a vanilla ice cream scoop with a chocolate ganache sauce that made for the best dinner I have had in a long time. Coupled with the excellent decor and food was the service. Maria was very personable and nice as can be. I could not think of what could have made this visit any better. Good information for the Spring time is the fact this Winemaker's Grill that is located inside of Wapato Point Cellars Winery is open 7 days a week while some of the others are closed on Sundays and Mondays. Open only at 5 pm to 8 pm every evening for dinner. Fortunately, because the other restaurants were closed I stumbled upon this gem. read more

The only reason I'm giving this restaurant 2 stars is because the kids had a great time with their lawn games, and the waiter was doing his best to be helpful. However, we were at our table for 1.25 hours before being delivered our food, 2 hours before we could pay our bill and leave, and the food was less than mediocre. I would have enjoyed a bottle of wine on the lawn and then left to get food elsewhere. Won't be back unfortunately. read more

They're steak is melt-in-your mouth. Their Marsala chicken and lemon piccata is tender and flavorful. They will leave the breading off of your gluten free . The wait staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is intimate . Get there early because there are no reservations and it fills fast. You can get your name in , go have some wine or the fresh squeezed lemon drop, walk around their beautiful grounds, and they will text you when your table is ready . Was so looking forward to dinner at The Winemakers Grill, but sadly fell short of expectations..... Our server suggested the special off the fresh sheet, which was goat cheese au gratin, Beef Burgundy, and a pear dessert. I will start by saying the starter, the au gratin served w bread crostinis was so dry that when I dipped into, crumbs flew everywhere. Usually I think of an au gratin as something you dip into? I only had about 1/4 as was so dry My suggestion- drop this disappointing dish, maybe add a salad or a couple of shrimp instead?? The beef dish was two pieces of pot roast /short ribs surrounded by mostly pearl onions, w a good gravy. It was literally an onion meal :-( The pear dessert was a half slice of pear w whipped cream & caramel sauce- meh 34$ later (44$ w wine) left disappointed, vowing wont be back sadly, as we r locals ... Pretty place with average service and not so good food. First of all, for the place that has steak for $90 on the menu you would expect the table (outside) to be sparkling clean (especially give the covid situation), the menu sheets given without stains (gross) and wine glasses brought to the table dry, not with drips of water all over. I ordered Spinach salad with bacon dressing and mushroom pasta. The wait for the food was long and then the waiter brought everything at once salad and pasta, and steak, and bread basket with 3 pieces of bread for 6 of us. The table was overflowing with plates. My sister and I ate same salad and both got upset stomachs which lasted the whole day - we are suspecting mushrooms in the salad or unwashed spinach. Never again. Thank you. read more

Ok. Been coming here for years. The last 3 years the place has become terrible. Never brought one of our parties chicken piccata out, torched my pork chop and told me that it would be 30 minutes to make another one medium rare because they just had a table of 20 show up. Manager! Can't complain about that because there isn't one or at least that cares. Had a few good servers but this is supposed to be a high end restaurant especially for the $$$$ it is not I have had better fast food. Save yourself some $$$ and please go to a place that cares about their customers. After I asked why the food was crap the waiter told me it was all high school kids in the kitchen. I have very mixed feelings about this place. We came during the holidays, so it wasn't overly busy, which was nice and it should have guaranteed a good service. We were welcomed and seated right away. Also waters and bread arrived quickly, which was nice. The bread was OK, nothing special for me personally. It didn't seem fresh, but that was pretty much the theme of our evening. We ordered: Clam chowder - which was good. Thick, creamy with nice chunks of clams. Wedge salad - I don't like blue cheese or blue cheese dressing, so I asked if they can substitute for thousand island on the side. I was told no problem. The salad came with huge amount of the dressing all over the salad, but I figured I won't make a fuss and excepted it. The dressing was off - sour tasting and so I immediately stopped eating it. I told our waitress that the dressing was bad, to which she simply said "I am sorry". She took it away and that was it! No would I like another one made or taking it off the final bill. Nope. Just sorry. Filet Mignon with baked potato - for the price of that stake charged here its a minuscule piece of meat. I don't need half a cow, but come on! For almost $40 you don't expect to get served three bites piece of meat. Steak skewers with goat cheese and bacon - I was told it was delicious. Raspberry ice cream pie - best thing I ate here. I recommend coming here for the dessert and if you drink wine, the rest is just OK. I would suggest to train your serve staff how to properly handle food complaints. Saying sorry isn't cutting it, if you want to be an upscale restaurant. read more

I had the filet, it was cooked well done when asked for medium rare, but it was still good so I ate it. We had the spicy shrimp app and it was so good! Dessert was lemon cream cake and that was equally delicious. Service started our great but by the end we were hardly checked on and took forever to get our bills. If you wanna go to a winery with awful Service, and get jumped in front of by locals that know the staff, then come here. If you want to wait for over 120 minutes and see locals move in front of you after sitting down in the bar. Boom. This is your spot. The bar service is poor (had to pick up my own cheese plate from the bar after watching it sit there for 15 minutes with no one there), the whole experience was poor, and the manager was walking around acting like everything was normal and didn't have a clue. This is the third time I have been here, and will never return again due to the service which is sad because the food is good, but not worth being disrespected. If you want good food you can stay in chelan and don't need to drive 20 minutes to wait for who knows how long and be prepared to be staring at empty tables because the staff can't plan accordingly or it could just be that they don't know how to manage a restaurant by someone who has no idea how to manage a restaurant. Wapato Point Cellars is conveniently located near Wapato Point condominiums so it is the easiest place to dine when staying there. The front staff and servers do an excellent job especially on the weekends when the place is overly busy. I ordered the New York steak (rare to medium rare). It came medium to medium well. The menu suggested pairing it with Cabernet Franc but the server said they did't sell that by the glass so suggested Cabernet Sauvignon which was extremely harsh and almost undrinkable. If you are going to try their wines I would suggest one of their blends or stick with their excellent mixed drinks. read more
