I try and do his class on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays and I come to the hot yoga classes when I want to slow things down and stretch my body out. I take my classes through ClassPass, which is proven to be really convenient and hassle free. The instructors here are great, provide quality workouts, and keep the space very clean and well kept. Been going to this studio for a solid month now, and I've gotta say, I kinda love it! It's got a…read morerelaxed zen-like atmosphere, intimate class size, nice group of people from different ages / fitness levels -- and there's something for everyone. I first started out with the restorative yoga, which as Melissa C mentions is much slower paced (and I guess that's the point; so as to restore you). It was helpful in the sense that it got me out of my head for an hour, and I left feeling very relaxed and refreshed. Then I decided maybe the power yoga would give me more of a cardio workout, and it did! I was famished half way through, I think it's more for intermediate level. Right now I'm really enjoying the Beginner 1 classes. It goes through a good foundation of poses, and Jessica does well to balance more challenging variations with easier modifications, so you get to listen to your body and follow according to your individual needs. The forehead massage at the end with essential oils is a nice touch, haven't seen this at any other place. Overall if you're looking for a studio in Rockwall, I suggest going through some of the different classes offered here with various teachers, to find one that feels right for you. Right now, I'm so glad I found this place!

The only thing I wish is there was decor on the walls or windows in the studio so I could focus on something during practice. Other than that, I like the intimate size, changing rooms, clean bathrooms, ample waiting area, etc. I've only attended Beginner classes taught by Jessica, one of the owners. She's even keeled and knowledgable - the real deal. I like how her classes are never the same from day to day: Different parts of my body get worked on from class to class. (I've been to classes before where the teacher seemed to favor certain postures.) She's great at giving modifications if my body isn't willing to go "there" and tips for making a posture or stretch more challenging. I've come away sore from her class once (heavy on the abs). I usually leave feeling stretched out and relaxed. I suppose I'd like for mid-class to lead up to some sort of flow, more Sun Salutations perhaps - just for a few minutes - to get my heart going a bit more. Maybe there's another class I need to try for that. My favorite thing is the Savasana at the end. The studio I was a part of before practiced this for a good amount of time at the end of every practice, and I haven't been to one since that consistently did it for a good amount of time. Jessica does here and even gives a quick, relaxing forehead massage using essential oils. Yay for the human touch! I do miss the yoga-nidra practice from my last place, but I can do that myself now. Overall, I'm just happy to have found a real studio - not a random class at the Y, not that crazy hot yoga doesn't embody all that yoga is suppose to be, but true mind/body/spirit place.

With exposed brick walls, creaky historical wooden floors, huge glass windows overlooking the town square, the space feels roomy and restorative. The classes I've taken there had sensitive and wise teachers who offered creative stretches with multiple adjustments for every skill level.

I've been going to yoga classes for years. But I won't be coming back to this studio. They do not…read moreprovide true yoga classes as I have experienced them, this is NOT a true yoga studio, this is a yoga mill, cheap corporate "yoga". I think for $124.00 a month, the instructors should go through the class with us, instead, they just walk around spouting a memorized script that NEVER changes. They also have classes with NO instructors, only audio. I could easily do this at home via Youtube (again, for $124 a month!). There is no yoga music, the studio does not convey a "yoga" feeling, it's a sterile environment, and some of the workers are rude. So it's essentially a cold experience. At least for me. I did the 30-day trial, going through several different types of classes they offer, and decided it wasn't for me, but they auto-drafted on the last day of your trial, so be quick to cancel!!! I missed the window and they grabbed my money. I feel this is predatory because they will not refund ANYTHING, they just point to the rules. Also, they don't answer the phone no matter how many times you call all day long. Avoid Sunstone, there are better/real yoga studios out there. I didn't enjoy it, but they can enjoy my monetary contribution.

**Rockwall Water Fitness Review**…read more I can't recommend Rockwall Water Fitness enough! This water aerobics class in Forney and Rockwall has rejuvenated my love for exercise. Not only has it strengthened my knee, restoring a good chunk of my mobility, but it's genuinely changing my life for the better. It has served as both my physical and mental therapy. I LOVE sports and have been active most of my life, but getting to a point of not being able to participate was honestly taking it's toll. This class has given me confidence by having something in which I can fully participate all year long. It is so refreshing. Melissa, the instructor, is an absolute gem. Her high energy and dedication make each session enjoyable. Plus, the mermaid community is incredibly welcoming and friendly. If you're looking to mix fun with fitness, this is the place to be!
