Great service at a reasonable cost. In particular, they have trained arborists who really focus on the practical health of the trees.

Walt's tree service was quick and responsive to make the booking at a reasonable price. We had several trees removed. The workers did great job and went above and beyond cleaning up afterwards. Will use them again. read more

I am beyond impressed with Walt's Tree Service. We had them remove a VERY large white oak tree that was not only close to the house, but also close to power lines and underground utility lines. They pruned some overhanging branches, cut some firewood and cleaned off the roof. Not only were they the best price, but they were responsive, fast, and respectful of our property and were careful not to damage other trees and bushes. We will absolutely be calling them again when we need tree services. read more

We hired Walt's Tree Service to take down a very large silver maple tree which had difficult access issues because it was in our backyard and we do not have an alley or driveway. We got five other bids and Walt's was BY FAR the lowest. They were also extremely good about following up and informative during the review and estimate process. For a job like this I would not always pick the lowest bid. Large limbs were going to have to be lifted over our neighbor's house and this huge tree had already dropped one large limb during a recent wind storm. So the most important thing for us was that the job be done well and safely. But Walt's also had the best reviews of any company that we considered. We were very happy we chose them. Like many other customers (and I checked several "rating" sites), we cannot say enough good things about the job they did. Like others we were very impressed with Anner Arevalo. He was terrific and very easy to work with. They did an amazing job on this difficult tree. They came out very quickly -- which was important due to the condition of the tree. They started and finished when they said they would and my neighbor was also pleased with the job they did. We are happy to recommend them. read more

Fantastic. We had just bought a house with a very large oak tree in our back yard that hadn't been pruned in years. We got quotes from four local companies and Walt's gave us the best price so we went with them. The crew showed up on time and we're extremely professional. They spent several hours thoroughly pruning the tree. When they were done, they cleaned up everything with a rake and a leaf blower and left our yard looking great. I wholeheartedly recommend Walt's to anyone who needs tree trimming/removal. I would definitely hire them again. 10/10. read more

We were SO pleased with our experience with Walt's and Anner. We called with an emergency job, and they were done with the job less than 24 hours after I called (they were in the area and were able to come by and get it done). So professional and efficient. They left our yard cleaner than they found it, stacked the wood even more carefully than we requested, and for a competitive price. 10/10 recommend. read more

Walt's Tree Service removed a large Hemlock by the side of my house, team showed up ready to go on time and with all the equipment necessary! The cost of the service was exceptional, at least $1k less than the next quote I received. Team showed up at 7:30AM, and the job was completed by noon, very quick! They did an exceptional job cleaning up the work site, I am very pleased with the service I received! I will definitely consider Walt's for any future tree service I need. read more

I had two trees in my back yard that needed limbs trimmed/removed. Walt's tree service was the most reasonable quote out of three local companies. The were also very responsive, punctual, efficient and professional. They did a great job and cleaned everything up before leaving. And when I noticed a week later that a small section of my fence had been slightly pulled from its post, I called their office and Anner came out that same afternoon to fix the problem! Issues can come up, but it's how a company deals with them that makes the difference. Walt's Tree Service has definitely earned my trust and I will not hesitate to use them again. I also appreciate that you actually get to speak to a very nice lady when you call on the phone, and don't have to leave voicemails for everything! read more

Best price, great work and reliability!! I have used them many times and will continue to use them

We used Walt's for a recent job trimming our Oak and Maple trees in the backyard after finding the company online. Communication was poor from the start, and the price was higher than other quotes, but it fit our schedule better at the time. When they finally came, we think it was the owner who showed up briefly to supervise and was rude and confrontational. Not pleasant to deal with. When my wife asked him about a broken branch that they missed, he told her to quit bothering him, and it was not marked in the contract, so she was out of luck. He even had the audacity to suggest that she climb up and do it herself. We went back to the contract afterward and discovered it was written in to remove that large damaged branch. I am surprised at this type of behavior from anyone. The workers did a decent job and were friendly, but this was unfortunately overshadowed by their high prices and the poor borderline misogynist behavior. We will be looking elsewhere for our tree-trimming needs. read more

I had 2 trees removed yesterday and 1 stump grinded into mulch by Walt's tree service. I originally got several quotes from different Tree Removal companies and Walt's Tree Service had the best price. The removal of our trees also required the crew to remove and restore several sections of our fence. I found the tree removal crew to be professional, diligent, thorough and safe. We're very pleased with the work that was performed and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. read more

Highly recommend Walt's Tree Service. I needed to remove a very large (100ft) red oak. They came out to give me an estimate the day after I called (a neighbor had recommended them), and they underbid almost all other estimates. When there was a glitch with scheduling, they fixed it, and showed up on time the day work was scheduled. Workers were professional and highly skilled, and worked diligently to finish the job in one day. when the tree was down, They cleaned up my yard and my neighbor's yard, where some debris had fallen. They promptly returned the following day, to reinstall a fence that had to be removed to fit the crane. Very pleased with my service from Walt's! read more

Super responsive and gave a very competitive quote! We were on a short time frame and needed a quote to negotiate for a real estate transaction and Walt's Tree Service came out quickly and were very easy to work with. read more

A black cherry tree broke in such a way that it was leaning in some neighboring trees, stopping 4 inches from the tool shed. I did not know how they were going to take it down without a crane. But they did! Their price was the best of four quotes ($450 less than the highest), and they were able to come the next day. They were quick, friendly and cleaned up. Would definitely use them again. read more

Walt's Tree Service has been great. Anner in particular is a great guy and does a wonderful job of assessing your needs, and directing his team to get it done. We've used them twice. The first time was to cut down and remove a massive 4 story tall oak that was dying rapidly and in danger of dropping heavy debris. They brought in a crane; and in a few hours they quickly and amazingly cut if almost flush with the ground and took away all of the wood. The second time they trimmed the high branches of 4 trees (3 stories up) that are over our back yard. If you want it done quickly and correctly I recommend Walt's Tree Service. read more

I don't usually post reviews, but in this instance I had to because Annyar and his team did a fantastic job. They arrived on time with PPE and got right to work. The tree I had an issue with was in my neighbor's yard, and they were able to get it trimmed back with minimum intrusion to their property. They came prepared with the right tools for the job, hauled away the debris and made sure the work area was left clean and tidy. I will use Walt's Tree Service again, and has recommended them to family and friends. GREAT JOB! Anthony R. Capitol Hgts, Md read more

Mr Anner, our estimator was very professional and seemed very knowledgeable as well. I found that it was hard to compare estimates because the scope of the work was large, with 3 very mature oak trees needing dead wood removal and trimming. I had Walt's tree and Lanscaping service come out and remove 3 limbs. One of the oak limbs was directly over the house. The men that came out were both friendly and professional. The crew leader, a man named Israel, was directing the operation as well as helping. That's what is called leading from the front! I was referred to this company by a friend and also checked them out on the Better Business Bureau website. Great experience and REASONABLE rates!! Even during extensive tree damage that followed a severe storm and overwhelmed local tree companies, Walt's was quick and efficient with a nice crew who did a thorough and neat job. Walt's Tree Service removed a large and magnificent Red Oak from the front of our house. We are very sad to lose this tree, it has graced our front yard for over 80 years, but for this species of oak, it was at the end of its lifespan. Walt's service was exceptional - they removed this large tree, ground the stump and cleaned up in one day. And they were, by far, the lowest bid. While we are sad to lose our tree, we have nothing but good to say about Walt's Tree Service. Their phone number is 301-933-0752. read more

Walts tree service is outstanding. Friendly and knowledgeable! The wind blew over a tree in my back yard. Within 24 hours they showed up, gave me a totally reasonable price, and helped me with some other trees in my yard. Could not have been happier. Alex did the estimate on the first visit, gave me a fair price. The team showed up on time, did the work correctly and efficiently. The job involved 6 trees (one removal and 5 trims/topping) and when they were done everything was clean and orderly. I can't recommend them enough. The crew was very nice. My little 3 year old neighbor boy loved the big machines and was entranced. Highly recommend them. read more

I couldn't have been happier with the service I received from Walt's Tree Service! I had two trees completely taken down and many other full grown trees received major trimmings and clean up work. His fees were very reasonable for such skillful procedures. Many heavy branches were removed expertly and safely by his highly qualified workers. He and his crew were extremely knowledgeable and professional the whole time. In addition to getting his advice on trees that needed the services, as a trained arbolist, he was also able to give me advice on how to better take care of the trees I had, to keep them healthy. Before I booked my appointment, I happened to be home when Walt's team was taking down many trees in the yard behind me. Watching the talent of his crew and the efficiency of the job they were doing, caused me to immediately get an estimate from them right there on the spot! They were done both jobs within 3 days. I honestly have never seen such a hardworking crew! I was very impressed and I won't hesitate to call on them again. read more

Outstanding service once again from a professional and efficient company. Alex helped us determine the best way to prune a large tree overhanging our driveway which left the tree looking healthier than ever. Workmen arrived on time, cleaned up all debris, and were friendly and courteous. Prices are very competitive; no surprise charges or extra fees. We recommended Walt's to our neighbor and she's already used them with very happy results. Highly, highly recommend. read more

Walt's used a crane to remove a dying tree from our backyard. They arrived on their scheduled day and removed the tree in a few hours. I needed a large oak tree removed. I received several estimates. Walt's estimate was the most reasonable. I called on 8/30 and the work was scheduled for 9/4. The crew of 4 arrived at 8:00 a.m. and worked until 6:30 p.m. They worked expertly, ensuring that the branches and trunk removed did not damage the fence or other trees/ shrubs. They cleaned up completely and left the yard without any debris. The tree was large and required a great deal of expertise to do it without causing any damage. I would recommend their services to anyone. read more

This is such a phenomenal company!!! They removed 4 very large oak trees from my yard (overhanging my roof) - they were prompt, reasonably priced, very friendly and did a great job. My yard doesn't have one divit from limbs falling and my roof is unscathed. I got a number of quotes and they were the most reasonable. They used a large crane/bobcat to haul everything away and left the stumps cut very close to the ground. Great work -highly recommend!! read more

I needed a very large tree straddling the fence removed from a townhouse backyard. My mom recommended Walt's Tree Service to me because she has used them for years. Theirs was the best price I got and they did a careful job removing the tree from the small backyard. I had them come back and grind down the stump, too. It was a challenge getting the machine in the backyard, as they had to remove a fence panel, which they had informed us of at the time of the quote. Again, they were very thorough and replaced the fence panel with the yard fully cleaned up when they left. Would definitely recommend! read more

We have used Walt's twice in the last two years. Each time they provided timely estimates which were within our budget. Arriving on time and with all the appropriate equipment, the crew got busy and safely got our work done. They did amazing work protecting our plants and lawn from damage as huge branches were removed and lowered to the ground. Could not be more pleased with the clean up. Aside from the tree trimming, you would be hard pressed to notice they had been on site. read more
