I needed a very tall tree removed from my front yard. The most important part of tree removal is the stump. I called 4 companies for estimates. I was able to receive my estimate based on photos that I sent. Walt's Tree Service was the best price but I was also positively influenced by their customer reviews. The tree was removed the same afternoon. When I arrived home there was no evidence that the tree had been removed- no trimmings, no branches. The entire stump was removed. The job was done professionally and I am confident that I will use them for upcoming future projects in our yard. It's nice to know quality customer service still exists!! This is a great company. Sandy came out and gave us a good estimate on the services we required. We needed a large tree removed because of root damage to the concrete as well having three of the big trees on our property trimmed and shaped, plus other plant problems. The workers came out on time, with masks, which we appreciated, and took care of the project at hand in a timely manner. They cleaned up all of the work areas and left our property neat and clean. Contacted Walt's after hearing several neighborhood recommendations from NextDoor. I called to request a quote to trim down a massive Ficus in our back yard, after getting a previous quote from a different landscaper, and Sam came by within a few minutes (was apparently in the area). After taking a look we got a very reasonable quote and I scheduled a service for the next week. As I am typing this the crew is just finishing up, and let me tell you, I am very satisfied with the results. They were very safe and professional during the whole process, which was a major feat considering the size of the tree and lines running through it. I have used Walt's Tree Service several times over the last 6 years. Sandy always takes careful notes of the work to be done and communicates effectively to his great crew of tree trimmers to follow the plan. Sandy's crew is extremely careful. I had them remove a large tree in my backyard that had grown over the cable TV and electric service wires. The trimmer was careful to drop the branches in a way to protect the wires. Terrible service for me... 4 calls and no call back to get the job scheduled. Had them quote my job and now it's a rude cold shoulder... I don't care how busy you are just be human and at least return one of the messages... I think they are getting too much easy money from the city! Now I get a response from the tree service more than a month later calling me out as a "classy guy" for a supposed convenient lack of compassion of sorts... So I still don't get why this guy didn't call me back to say he wasn't going to do the job. This lack of contact was the reason I posted. Just a simple call or text would have done it. I needed to have a gigantic Grevillia Oak removed from my backyard. Sandy came by within 5 minutes of my phone call to give me a quote (he was in the area). His crew of guys came through within a week to cut down and haul away about 25 tons of tree and bark before cleaning up. The whole process was quick, clean, and efficient. I am VERY disappointed. I got a quote for having some bushes and trees trimmed in my yard on the 16th of July. The appointment for having the work done was for 7-31-2015 at 7:45am. When no one had showed up at 10:00am I called and was told he had forgotten to call to reschedule for Saturday at 8:00. I got up again and prepared for his 8:00 arrival. It is now 9:55am and still no one has shown up. I just called to cancel the appointment. I will have someone else come to do the work. read more

Walt's Tree Service did an exceptional job for us. I called them after my tree partially blew over during a windstorm and was leaning over the public sidewalk posing a significant liability for us. They were out within a few minutes of my call and gave me a fair and reasonable quote to remove the tree without haggling. From there they had the tree out within a couple of hours that same morning. The fact that they carry full workers comp insurance was an absolute must us and should be for any homeowner considering this kind of work on their property.
