To quote Tony, "Wow. Really, Christina." I have never experienced such unprofessional, disrespectful, and sexist behavior from someone I hired for a job. Tony started great. I hired him to take the weeds out of a small area on my back patio, remove the rocks, and clean out a small section in my front yard. I was quoted $150 to "clean up, to till soil weed free, prune front plants and till soil and remove rock. It includes haul away fee to disposal center." I thought the price was reasonable. I asked him if he could also remove some bricks since he was already hauling the rocks and charging me for it. AWESOME! I thought this is so great. I wasn't home when he completed the job so I say I would pay him after I looked at the job. Glad I did as it was not well done. When I went home, it went DOWNHILL. I came home to see many rocks still in the backyard soil. I called upset and Tony was incredibly rude. I stated how I wasn't happy that there was still rock in the soil. He said, "Are you serious?" You are complaining about 2 rocks. I told him there was clearly more than 2 rocks. He said he did the best that he could in removing the rock and he couldn't remove all the rocks. He saw the rock in the soil when he gave me the quote. Since when is removing most of something acceptable? I would have been OK if it was just 2 rocks. However, as you can clearly see in the picture there were at least 30 rocks. I didn't even remove all of them. I had the joy of removing them since he couldn't complete the job. After laughing at me for being upset, repeating my name "Christina are you seriously upset about a few rocks?" YES I AM! Tony had zero customer service and could not even take responsibility. All I wanted was the job I was quoted. It was definitely not worth any discount. He offered a decreased payment of $100 since he did not remove the rock and did not offer to finish the job correctly. When I said OK. He said Wow, Really Christina." There are many other professionals in the area that will help you. Avoid Tony. I certainly will never use him again. read more

Juan got the job done on repairing our broken sprinkler pipe and some weak sprinkler heads. Our issue was that we had a cracked sprinkler pipe 5 inches under our mulch in the front of our house. When we would turn on the sprinkler, water would shoot up 15ft in the air. We were able to locate the cracked pipe, once we did that, we searched for a landscape contractor on Yelp. We were quoted $250 from another contractor who just just gave estimate on Yelp messaging. Further, when we reached out to Tony, he was responsive on Yelp messaging and asked if he can come by the following day to check the sprinkler leak. I said yes, and he came by at our agreed upon time, and he evaluated the issue, and the cost to fix it was extremely fair and reasonable! He was honest and professional which I highly appreciate! He was available to fix it at the moment (I was thinking he may need to come the next day), he just needed to run to store to get materials, and came back and fixed it within the hour as he mentioned. I'm super happy our sprinkler system is now fixed. For some of the weak sprinkler heads, he was able to fix within minutes. Also, he shared some valuable information on our lawn and recommended some ideas to keep the grass green and lush. We didn't even know what type of grass we had, and he knew top of his head what type of grass we have, how often needed to fertilize it, and how to mow it. Tony was attentive and prompt in responding to our initial queries about his services. He came out to our home, gave us an estimate, and we scheduled a time for him to come. He came at the scheduled time and did a good job. We paid him and gave his crew some ice water (it was a hot day). We cancelled our previous gardener's service and set up the next time for Tony to come. We then never heard from Tony again... He stopped replying to any messages on Yelp. So far so good! When my husband and I decided to have a Lawn to Garden front yard we never dreamed it would be so much work. What planet were we on? It's very beautiful but a lot of work and gardeners aren't much interested in maintaining a lot of plants and trees not to mention dymondia! Dymondia is beautiful but don't believe anyone when they tell you that it's stronger than weeds. Not true. For us, it's been a lot of work. I have written only three reviews in my whole life. I am writing this for several reasons. Yes; Tony cuts my lawn and maintains special projects for the backyard. A -plus on that level. I would imagine there is a lot of B grade to A-plus gardeners out there., However much broader then that he is so caring for the living plants he takes care of as if they are his own. That is great; Tony makes it to A -Plus on many other levels too, he is so polite, so respectful. If there is an issue that needs attention he helps me understand why and if I have a problem I need him to attend to he listens very carefully and follows through precisely as asked.
