My mom fell out with her gardener about a year ago. So nothing has been done to her lawn since then. It was REALLY bad... full of weeds... dry patches in spots... overgrown grass in other spots. My dad used to handle it before he passed away. So I decided to find a new gardener for her. I was lucky enough to get in touch with Juan from JG Lawn Care. He came to her house within a couple of days and did an AMAZING job of mowing the front and back lawns, removing all of the weeds, and cleaning up the flower beds. I wish I had before pictures to show how bad it got. It will be a while before it's beautiful like my dear dad used to maintain it, but we're on our way to something beautiful with Juan's help! Had my neglected parkway cleaned up by JG lawn care about 2 weeks ago. Got a quote from some competitors that were (in my opinion) fairly outrageous $700+ range to mow, and edge the parkway and then de weed my Astro turf/planter. Here we are again with another review. The series of the "Grimy Gardener" continues. Why is it so strange to ask a professional to be professional? I reached out to JG lawn care a couple of weeks ago because our other Gardner ghosted us. He quoted me a price and I accepted. We agreed to him coming by on Monday afternoon. Soooo Monday afternoon comes and goes then I receive a text around 4:30 saying " I will go this afternoon "....I'm thinking ..... Sir the afternoon will be the evening in ...3...2...1....then I receive another text at 5:57 notifying me he'll be at my home in 1hr. Now I did consider that it was hot that day so I wasn't opposed to a late cut BUT at least let the sun be in the sky. By the time he was finished the sun had fully set and the grass looked as if he used kindergarten safety scissors to cut my grass. Smh... The search continues ..... read more

Had a big clean up job involving front back an side yards. Juan was responsive over text when I texted him on arrival time. He and his assistant got right to work, we're careful of the plants in my planters and did not mind me joining in to weed the planters (adding more for them to haul away). They went the extra mile and helped me move a patio table to the curb (to get rid of it) and even spoke Spanish to a lady walking by who inquired about taking it. Juan and team did a great job for us. Was on time to take a look at the job, quickly got us a quote (price was reasonable/mid range) and was able to do the job within the week. They arrived on time to start and did a thorough job and made sure they cleaned up before leaving. The job wasn't big, removing lawn/dirt and leveling out the ground, about 400sqft. We're putting in an above ground pool so needed to be pretty flat. It wasn't quite where I wanted it to be, but they were really great about getting it done to our satisfaction. He didn't balk at working on a tiny patch of a lawn in a trailer park, or the fact that it was extremely overgrown with weeds two feet high. He did an excellent job and hardly bothered me while he was at work. He *was* delayed one day by an unexpected job, but explained once he got here. Juan gave me a $60 estimate to cut my front and back lawns. Some of the lawn was high due to the recent rain we have had. When he got here (1/2 hour late), he gave me an estimate of $150!!!!! A short time later, I called another gardener who did the job for $90. I asked Juan for an estimate for my tree stump and he said $200. This other gardener said he could do it for $60.
