I Purchased and alternator from Chad and immediately it was a bad alternator. Tested bad. Went back and got a replacement alternator. Shortly after, my batteries drained and so I replaced the battery. Somehow the alternator wasn't charging so I thought was just bad batteries, had to replace the batteries again. This has been going on for two years. In the end, most of my electrical components were being melted and I had to take it into Romeo Ford. $2700 later, Ford engineers told me it was a bad alternator that caused all my truck problems and a complete diagnostics report to prove it. Reported it to Auto Value and Chad the manager. I am totally being taken advantage of because the manufacturer tested the alternator, they confirmed it was bad but it was because of bad batteries is what they said and I'm just out of luck no matter what the lifetime warranty means. Because I'm the small guy, they're taking a vantage of me. They are basically saying that the Ford dealership and the engineers at Ford have it wrong and they are right. There's no issues and they will not pay me my money. Auto Value is great until you have a problem. Do not buy from this store your parts. Go to your dealerships and buy the original equipment parts. They do not stand behind their product. Could I take them to court? Of course. But they can out spend me on court fees and they know this. It's not right. They are totally railroading us. Will never shop at Auto Value again. They do not stand behind their product. You may have some good experience with this store, but beware, wait till something goes south. You'll see.

Chad came outside, looked at the problem area, went back into the store for the required parts and popped them in. Problem solved for a whopping $5. I highly recommend Auto Value to all and I will definitely be back when the need arises.

I usually go to the LTM quick lube down the street from my house. The service there has always been great even for my mother. The quick lube found low coolant and leaking thermostat. I scheduled an appointment well in advance to fix my mothers car for this leaking thermostat. Since it was our first time there, I was hesitant, but willing to have the work done due to the great service at the quick lube location. Scheduling service through their website online was painless. The next morning I was greeted with an email indicating they could get me in the morning I requested. Fast forward a week to the appointment. Was greeted and checked in my car. Waiting room, was a little crammed, but no big deal. I was dropping off the car for a full inspection and the requested repair originally diagnosed. LTM auto did a full check on the entire vehicle. They confirmed the thermostat leaking, low coolant, but also found a bad ball joint on the drivers side. Keep in mind, my mother noticed there was noise coming from the car, but could not attribute it to anything and suspected it was the alignment or the older tires. So this is when it got really cool. They sent email with the full diagnosis report. The report included photos and videos of the said problems, that could possibly cause issues. Along with other recommendations. What I found was a thorough report with pictures of the leaking thermostat, video of the bad balljoint moving, pictures of low coolant, and pictures of some very minor body damage they recommend a fix for. Mom didn't care for the body damage, as long as the car is mechanically sound for her to go to work. I spoke with the service advisor and found him calm and confident. Really ready to work to keep my business. I won't mention prices, because, everyones experience is different. And I myself know to look for all the prices online for comparable cost of parts. I found the work well within the normal margins for both parts and labor. People often complain about labor, but this is a smaller shop with a focus on customer service. The fact that they respond to all of comments shows dedication to their craft. Time wise, it took about a 1.5 days to get the car. Which, yes, some shops have a 1 day turn around, including the dealerships. However, again, I can tell this is a smaller shop, with a focus on its customers and their service. The next day, I received an email, phone call, and text saying my car was ready. Drove the car home on the freeway. The thermostat got hot very quickly, and I didn't notice the road noise my mother had mentioned to me before. Really, don't be swayed by these bad reviews. Everyone knows cars are expensive, especially if you don't take care of your vehicle or know anything about cars.
