Worst experience I've had with a mechanic. Our AC isn't working and i have a newborn so I don't have the option to not get it fixed. We took it in and after telling us they can't fix it, they returned it with a check engine light on. This light was not on when we parked the car. They refused to fix it or even fully diagnose it without charging us more money. If the light was on when we dropped it off we would have asked about it but we didn't because it wasn't. They never mentioned the light to us at all until we got the car back, saw it and asked about it, and they said 60% of cars they see have lights on so they don't always say something. It's a mechanic shop! Why wouldn't you tell people what is wrong with their car and offer to fix it? Isn't that solely what you do? Also 60% of cars seems crazy high.. It feels like they were just hoping we wouldn't notice. We took the car in with one issue and got it back with two. What a horrible experience. From now on I guess I'll have to take a video of the dash and car with a time stamp so i have concrete proof of how it went in. That's crazy that i should have to do that. read more

I've been coming to this Muffler Man since moving to Waterford 9 years ago (after having a really bad experience with the Muffler Man on Dixie). This place is great! All the guys that work here are very friendly and knowledgeable. They don't try to scare you into repairs but will be realistic about how much time you have left before it REALLY becomes an issue. I trust them with all of my maintenance and repairs. They also usually have coupons online that you can print out--oil change and tire rotation for less than $20! Can't beat it. read more

I took my vehicle to this muffler man location to have my exhaust system repaired (I know a little about cars so I already know what needed to be done I just needed them to fix it). During their test drive they noticed that there was a noise coming from my front left tire (I also needed front tires, which I already knew). They suggested that I needed a new hub assembly or else it would be falling off soon; because I trusted their expertise I agreed to let them replace the hub assembly for $440 plus $274 for the exhaust. The very next day as I drove my wheel started to shake uncontrollably at any speed & the noise was back. When I got the chance I took my car back & Dan instantly started blaming me for what was happening with the vehicle (but he was extremely nice when we first met) telling me "oh you need new tires , that's not on me" "why did you wait 14 days to come back". Which was very unprofessional in my opinion & I now feel as the hub assembly was never the problem. I do feel as if this location takes advantage of women & I should have been more careful read more

Stopped in here because my engine was leaking oil and they are just around the corner from my apartment. After assessing they said it was going to be around $500. I had nowhere near that amount so I had no choice but to turn them down. A friend ended up referring me to the garage they used and they told me that my head gaskets were busted and the car was eventually going to die and it wasn't worth my money to try to fix everything. He ended up doing some patchwork for just under $200 to keep it running until I could get another car. Basically I feel like if I would've stayed with Muffler Man I would've been short $500 and still had a dead car. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead if one is because they were very friendly throughout the whole process. read more

I would give negative star if I was able to! Went to this location because it was convenient to my home.. I had some clicking going on with my engine so I simply went for a quote to see what could be going on. I have a older car and completely understand things need to be replaced and fixed but my car was running fine when I dropped off to be quoted.. about a hour later they called with a quote and quoted me over 1800 to be fixed, I stated I would check with my husband and get back to them if I wanted to proceed further. The associate proceeds to say give me your husbands number and I'll get him to pay over the phone because it takes 20 minutes to get your car on the hoist.. I call bull shit, anyways I said no thank you I would like to look else where.. I went to pick up my car and come to find out my steering completely stopped working and I could barely drive out of the parking lot.. when confronting the staff they said " yea! So weird you never mentioned anything about your power steering your belt fell off and we could barely turn your wheel" ummm what?! I'm not dumb my car drove in fine no way my belt magically fell off! They took advantage that I was a female and tried to rip me off by ripping off my belt! Highly suggest never going to this location and I plan on spreading this review everywhere!! Females be aware of being ripped off at this location!!!!! read more

I am an avid do-it-yourselfer and prefer to do all work on cars myself if possible. My 2009 Explorer had a rear brake line fail from rubbing on an aftermarket muffler clamp. It looked like a major PITA to do on jackstands so I called Kevin. The estimate was a very fair price, and the work was completed on the next business day before noon. Thank you VERY much for fixing my car. I highly recommend this Muffler man location. We took my son's Ram 1500 here to have a Flowmaster muffler installed. They did an outstanding job. A fair price and top-notch work. But most importantly, they're very trustworthy people. My son accidentally left his wallet in the truck with cash and credit card and needless to say it was right where he left it when we picked it up. I really wasn't worried that it wouldn't be but still, there's a lot of uneasiness when you do something like this. I'd highly recommend these guys. read more
