I tried to fix them, but the frosting had melted and smeared everywhere, making them impossible to fix so I had to throw them away. Even more concerning, I found a fly inside one of the sealed containers. This is a serious food safety concern!!! I immediately emailed the bakery with photos and videos. Up until that point, they had been incredibly responsive to every email. However, the moment I reported the issue, all communication stopped. It has now been three days, and despite being active on Instagram and continuing to post on social media, they have completely ignored my emails. The complete lack of professionalism has been incredibly disappointing. If I owed a business and a costumer reported a potential food safety issue I would make resolving it my top priority! Instead, I was left pregnant, the weekend of the 4th of July, scrambling to find replacement desserts for my baby shower because I had no idea whether they intended to respond or make things right.
