I have to give a huge shoutout to the team at Vista Park Starbucks -- especially Hunter, Sara, and one more amazing barista whose name I didn't catch (but she absolutely deserves recognition too!). This is hands down one of the best Starbucks experiences I've had. Hunter is always friendly, efficient, and brings such great energy every time I come in. Sara is just as incredible -- attentive, kind, and consistently gets everything perfect. And the third barista (I wish I knew her name!) is equally wonderful -- warm, welcoming, and clearly cares about every customer. What really makes this location stand out is the consistency and genuine customer service. You can tell this team takes pride in what they do, and it shows in every interaction. I ordered my free refresher drink. This is the first time I've ever altered my drink. I asked for the drink, no ice. And I asked for a small cup of just ice. I got the drink, full of ice, and I got a small cup of iced water. Unfortunately. I needed the drink to be without ice. It was going to be sitting in the car while I made 3 stops and I didn't want the drink to be watered down. Which is why I asked for just ice in a cup. She remade my drink. She didn't seem too happy about it. But oh well, you're at work, so you should focus on your work, and not make drink mistakes. This Starbucks (in particular) is the best Starbucks I have ever visited and I will tell you why. First of all, the manager made a concerted effort to make me feel welcome, even when it was a very busy day and I think she was studying for some sort of manager test at the same time, but that didn't stop her from getting up from her books and serving me her-self (Wow). Also, every worker at this Starbucks took the time and effort to ask my name and then learn something about me, which made me feel very special, especially when I was having one of those days. Yeah yeah yeah, Starbucks' espresso is not good in any of their stores. But who cares when you are having a pumpkin caramel mocha coconut latte? Starbucks is always a pleasant place to sit, and you can usually find something you like to both eat and drink. Starbucks' internet has finally gotten good after a long ragged period. I really liked the location of this place and liked the fact that they had clean restrooms. My drink was great and our pastry was wonderful also! They seem to be on the smaller side but they made great use of what they have here hehe ~ The one minus-star is because the employee who helped me kept saying "WHAT?" , "WHAT DID YOU SAY?" instead of "excuse me?" , "pardon", "what was that again?" when he did not hear something or someone clearly. A great little place to study in the neighborhood. There are three wall ports along the side of the wall near the circular tables for customer use. The tables are kind of small, for single person study use. If you are looking for super fast, no eye contact service, then I would recommend the Starbucks at Target. It's right down the street past the HEB pharmacy. This Starbucks is more of a cafe and tends to be cafe type of noisy and packed at all hours of the day. The Target Starbucks is more of a grab and go, and it has very few tables. The service was fast, but my frappachino was a bit on the icy side. read more

You could describe me as a coffee snob, which makes it almost a sin to give a Starbucks four stars. However, this Starbucks has very friendly staff who make the difference. It's close to work, so I have stopped by a few times to get lunch. I have had the warm ham and swiss on ciabatta, which I really like. Especialy with a green tea lemonade which is tasty, not too sweet, and refreshing - maybe even healthy if you consider the antioxidants in green tea. Their lunch selection is small, but quite good. Better, IMHO, than the subway next door. Beyond that, it is a starbucks, so the coffee is OK. Especially the blonde roast. read more

After about five minutes, I say "hello?" and the girl goes "oh" like she forgot there was someone there. I order and then pull up to the second window and nobody is there to take my payment. I have many fond memories of this Starbucks location. When I lived in the area I would stop in here for coffee with my know Ex Mister to write down a shopping list and contemplate recipes for the next few days before shopping at HEB, or to decide on what DVD we wanted to rent at Hollywood, or while waiting for food at Austin Pizza.... This past Sunday I had a lovely visit with my Mom on the patio with my pup in tow. I was hungry after a hike and was happy to see a "High Protein'" healthy snack option to accompany my iced latte. My iced latte with an extra shot of espresso was the perfect ratio of espresso to whole milk ratio as usual and the "High Protein" pack was the perfect amount of healthy foods: a very small whole wheat bagel, a squeeze packet of peanut butter, a boiled egg (with small salt and pepper packets), 2 slices of cheese, 2 slices of apple and some grapes. Hanging out for those weekly girl-chats is ideal here because we have the best of everything: seating, coffee, relaxing music, & chill atmosphere. I usually like the ambiance that Starbucks tries to make in all their coffee houses, but this one gets the label of "love it!" This Starbucks is okay compared to the one in target, came here for my birthday frappe and it was done poorly, they didn't even put java chips on top of my java chip frappe nor did they include whipped cream, the way it usually comes. They do not greet when you enter and I came back a second time; ordered my shaken green tea lemonade - it was so sour after asking for the sweet syrup - i drank it anyways but the drinks are done so poorly and if you order online just be sure to walk up to the end of the line; they won't tell you if your drinks there nor do they bother asking if you needed help or anything they just stand there and ignore you. I met a web dev client of mine there today and it was the perfect place to meet. You have to jump through a small hoop for the wifi (get a Starbucks card and put $5 on it) but that wasn't too bad. There is no drive through here, but I don't mind coming inside. Even when there is a line, it moves quickly. My beverages are always made well, and everyone I've interacted with here has been pleasant. There usually isn't much available in terms of seating inside, but as I almost always take it to go, this is not a problem for me.
