I took my car in for a quick estimate after my passenger side door was dinged. Everyone I encountered was so friendly. I got an estimate that was 1/2 the price from another estimate I received from another collision center. I was so relieved. They took in my car the following week. When I got my car back it was immaculate. You could never tell my door was damaged. They did exceptional work. I just bought a brand new Jeep. About 8 weeks after buying it a contractor doing work for my company damaged the vehicle. I went and got estimates from several places in the Dundalk and Essex area, but picked Walter Jay's. They weren't the cheapest. Or the most expensive either. But when the guy came out to do the estimate, he seemed like he really had a passion for cars. And a desire to get the job done right. That's what made me pick them. And I'm glad that I did. The work was done in the time they said it would be. Everyone was polite. They offered to help me with the insurance, but in my case, the contractor paid directly for the repair. So I didn't have much experience there. The Jeep came out looking great. The paint was blended in well. Everything looked brand new. Which was reassuring, as it is BRAND NEW. The work they did, you couldn't even tell anything happened to it. I hope to never need auto body work done again. But if I do, I'll come back here! read more

Words cannot express how happy we are with the work they did on our car! I have dealt with auto/body repairs in the past and never had a better experience. When we called Walter Jay's to set up the drop off of our car they handled EVERTHING for us. They had the rental car there waiting on us and dealt with the insurance company so there was no back and forth. The entire staff has excellent customer service. They did all the repairs on our car in a timely fashion keeping us informed of everything. When it was time to pick up the car we were going to be a few minutes after they closed so they made arrangements to accommodate us. The work they did was exceptional and exceeded all of our expectations! They even went above and beyond what we expected! We also didn't know they did regular mechanical work too and helped us with an issue while it was there. I am so glad I called there because this has been the best repair experience ever. Avoid going her! Avoid working here!! They do not pay their employees upon separation at all. They claim it all goes to materials and whatever other excuse they make up. I'm sure the shop manager will hop on here to comment that's not the case. However it is. She with held his last paycheck, claimed it was for paint materials when they have these poor guys painting in a low quality booth with horrible lighting and it's filthy. Fun fact it's illegal to charge employees for paint materials when the insurance covering the job pays for it! But excuses are just that for these people. They also go through employees tool boxes which are private property without permission. Good luck to any future employee that falls for working for this horrible employer. read more

Took my suv in to have a trailer hitch installed. They installed my hitch that I took them no problem. I didn't have an appointment, just showed up and I knew it was going to be a while without an appointment. I was originally told it could take a few days to a week to put me in. I didn't need the car as I have others to drive. They offered to drive me home in my car and they drove it back for me. They called a day later to tell me that it was finished and they also checked into my engine light for me. They did an excellent job on installing my hitch. They were a little pricey to install it since it was just a bolt on but the reason I had them do it was because they took the time to talk to me about how it was going to be done and they were so nice and helpful. read more
