Tall pint of Guinness for this lad.
Janine K.

We stopped in the Snug on a road trip back to Toronto. The feeling is cozy and comfortable, and the service was friendly and efficient. There's Irish music playing in the background, lots of character in this restaurant. We shared the 2 piece haddock and chips and was more than enough for me and my husband. It wasn't the most amazing fish and chips I've had in my life but tasted good. The fries were especially good. Each had a pint of Guinness, they were 8.50 a pint. A good pour! Would recommend if you're in the area.

Batter Burger

Great little place that happens to make BIG burgers! The one that stands out is the Batter Burger... yes, a burger that has been battered and deep friend, then served on a bun. Be sure to load it up with all your favourite toppings!

Stopped in here after a visit to Jungle Cat World and it was well worth it. It's decorated with a lot of eclectic items and the front section is quite small and cozy. We ordered the nachos and breaded shrimp. The portions were large and very filling. They definitely didn't skimp on nacho toppings. Each layer was coated in cheese and veggies. The shrimp came with fries and coleslaw. The service was fast and friendly. It's not far from the 401 so make a stop if you're driving through.

Have the colcannon with whatever you order, and the sticky toffee pudding is a must.

Imagine great Irish food, unique drinks, and live music all in one place -- this is it. We chose it…read morebased on reviews, and they were absolutely spot‑on. We didn't reserve in advance (which I now highly recommend). The wait was about an hour, but we passed the time at the nearby Churchill with a pre‑drink, and they texted us when our table was ready. The Sunday night jazz band was fantastic. The staff is incredibly friendly, and they work together as a team to take care of you. Amber was our primary server - she was great. Service for both drinks and food was quick, and the cozy Irish pub atmosphere made it even better. Definitely try to reserve ahead on the website if you can. If not, just plan to relax at one of the nearby pubs until your table is ready.

Parking in NOTL always a bit of a challenge especially if you don't want to pay! Wife enjoyed her 1+1 - 2 different fish filets with chips. I had the Irish Experience of three different meat pies. Each did have a unique taste. A filling and interesting dish. Murphy's stout on tap was Devine. Wife found her NA Moscow mule good but, given no alcohol, she felt the serving volume was low. Less than $100 CA all-in seemed reasonable for a fairly authentic Irish meal.

Two fellows occupied another table. Hmmm, where is everybody? Despite being an Irish Pub, the owners appeared to be Indian. All the staff that I saw were Indian, including the lone server/bartender. Now, that's not a bad thing because I love Indian food. I was actually quite happy! I just never expected it to be disguised as an Irish pub. I chose the Butter Chicken (Authentic creamy butter chicken sauce served with rice and naan bread). It was actually quite good but not quite up to the standard of an authentic Indian restaurant. It seemed to be lacking some of the creaminess that I've become used to in butter chicken. So this was very good, but perhaps not as authentic as I was hoping for. The rest of the place looked like what I would expect from an Irish pub. The (faux) worn furniture, the dart boards, the pool table. the fireplace, a good variety of beer on tap. Hopefully the evening crowd is better. There is one thing that I found to be a turnoff - the strong smell of air freshener or some kind of cleaning agent. Tone this down for a better, more natural experience. Please.

Problem is, the regular patrons, that smoke, now smoke and vape on the patio. Servers do nothing. Pathetic. The smokers never followed the 9 meter rule, always a cloud of smoke at the entrance, next to a daycare. Now they take over the patio. So there are so more patios that are not ruled by the clients. Too bad, nice patio, and great food, but I'll leave it to the inmates. Mackenzie's, magwyers, portly, st. Louis, even Boston pizza respect your air.

I sat in the sunroof area but was still warm thankfully as its -8c outside! And elderly regular came in and chatted up the waitress who was very friendly. I ordered mild wings and a coffee. The music was low key and thankfully the volume was low. The pub was very clean with many big screen TVs. I think Id like to come back for dinner or a sporting night! The wings were big and I ordered breaded. Good choice! They were super delicious and meaty. I appreciated the three wet-naps! (even with the three wet naps, I managed to leave the place with sauce on my face lol) I chose a single order and I could have eaten a double order. I'll definitely be coming here for wings again. $5 off wings on Thursdays and Sundays all day!! Yay! The service was so pleasant which made for a great lunch experience. So happy with this place. Highly recommend!! PS I still feel uncomfortable taking pics inside, but if you google images, that's pretty much it.
