When a service department does not re-attach a gas tank to a vehicle that was brought in because of a recall notice, and then proceeds to argue with the customer by saying, "How do we know you didn't detach the gas tank on your own?" that dealership receives a 1-star rating. In addition, the service manager, William Sawyer of Walsh Honda, continued to argue about it was our fault that they didn't run through their safety checks prior to giving us back our truck because "well, you guys were in a hurry to get your truck back." Um! The dealership had our truck for two days, and I'm pretty sure that attaching the FUEL TANK is a non-negotiable when it comes to safety service checks! Never bought a car here, but my family has taken their total of 4 Hondas over the last 2 decades to get serviced at Walsh Honda. The staff is professional and kind. They'll give you an honest estimate of how much it'll cost, and rarely will try to sell you on an additional service. My most recent trip, I had to ask THEM if I needed to add anything else and they said not to worry until the next tune up. Of course I would recommend calling ahead to make an appointment. I've rarely had to wait more than a few hours to get a basic service done. They do have a courtesy shuttle if you need to get back somewhere. The prices are good too. My 0W-20 oil change is right at $30! I've had some crappy little oil change place charge me $75 before, for the very same service! This is why I keep coming back to Macon even though I live in Atlanta now. I know that I'll get good service, and that I won't get ripped off. read more

They've earned my trust over the years and it's the only place I'll bring in my car for servicing. I recently visited for a service and was thrilled to see they've implemented safety measures to keep their team and customers safe during the pandemic. I am a disabled veteran due to a back injury. It was Veterans Day and I was told there would be great deals on this day for veterans. When I arrived I was told that if I bought a car that day and financed it with Honda Finance I would get $500 check or $500 Off the price of the car. I listed the male model and year of car I wanted. I made my list of accessory items I wanted on the car. Gave the list to the salesman. It should have been in and out. Was kept at the dealership for over five hours while they kept changing the configurations of accessories to the car. I finally told the salesman he had 10 minutes then I was leaving. I was in pain and ready to go home. I gave him 20 minutes. I went to my car and backed out then the salesman came running out along with the manager and promised to have me out in 10 minutes. I was so damn tired I did not notice that they removed more accessories on the car but did not reduce the price. Now I will have to buy them on my own. I generally got the car I wanted but they messed me over on the accessories. I should have kept driving when I got in the car. I had my dream wish list and did not get it. I financed with Honda Finance and did not get any money off or a check. These are words of Buyer Beware of their deceit and games. They are not there for you, they do not care about you. I discussed issues with dealership. We could not resolve issues. They offered to install options if I paid almost full price for all work. Stay away. They say at cost, but it was with labor markup. $15 Off $530.00. Not a deal. Stay away. read more

My family and I visited just to look at Pilots. We had one a few years ago, and bought a Ford Explorer last year that just didn't turn out to be all we hoped. Cedric was the salesman who approached us first and he was top notch! He was very nice, helpful and no high pressure at all. I got my car's oil changed here when I first moved to Macon. I had called the day before and the lady who answered said I could try coming in as a walk-in. When I drove up to the service lanes a woman smiled and told me they'd take care of me right away. Talk about great service! Some of the service men seemed a little "annoyed" that I did not have an appointment but then I informed them the woman told me I would be helped and there were no problems. The gentleman who helped me set up my account, I can't remember his name at the moment, was very nice! He chatted with my fiancé and I discussing Florida (where we both were from) and made us feel right at home. The waiting area is nice and the coffee machine is a nice choice! The gentleman checked on us and informed us that our vehicle was ready - quick service! He gave us his card and told us not to hesitate to give him a call for anything. For my initial service survey I did include his name so he can get the recognition he deserves. I will definitely be making this my Honda location for all my needs! read more

Beware. When you buy a car here you are told you get free oil changes. They make it as difficult as possible to use this benefit. I had an appointment at 2 pm and showed up on time. I was told they were running late (two cars ahead of me) and was told the first time they would be caught up until 4:30 pm so I could come back then. Unacceptable. Also, they do a "full inspection" with every oil change so the process takes an hour! Really??? The service team was disrespectful and did not even apologize for their service failure. My family will be buying two new Hondas over the next year and we will not buy from Walsh again. read more

After three months of driving my new 2018 CR-V, I received an email from the dealership stating "If you bought a Honda then please contact our service department to schedule your first oil change." BTW, The oil changes are free. I made an appt using their online service schedule and drove 40 miles to the dealership on the day of the appt. Once there, the service manager REFUSED the free oil change as he said that the oil usage indicator must be at 15% or below. Mine was at 50% (4448 miles). I showed him the email, and he said, "Oh, that's just a courtesy email". Some courtesy, I drive 40 miles (80 miles roundtrip) for an oil change AT THEIR REQUEST and get turned down. IMHO, A good customer service rep would have a) apologized, b) offered the free oil change, and c) made every effort to correct the emails that are obviously being sent out to customers automatically. For my first time dealing with their service dept and service manager, I was not impressed. read more

I am blown away by the friendliness and efficiency of Walsh Honda! From my initial inquiry on a used vehicle on the lot, Doris was eager to help answer any and all of my questions. She responded rapidly to all emails and calls. If she didn't know the answer, she was happy to find one and get back to me immediately. I drove 75 miles from metro Atlanta (with a plethora of Honda dealers) due to her willingness to assist me. Once I arrived I was greeted by Melissa who handled everything from there. She KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK! All of my concerns were addressed and fixed to their best ability. The most personable sales person I have ever encountered. She made the car buying process enjoyable and quick! Melissa worked with me on the final APR with a smile on her face. Every aspect of the process was explained to me so well. When I met with the financing department, I just had to sign all the papers and was on my way. I truly cannot say enough about how awesome my experience was. Took my car in for an airbag recall Monday afternoon; my car was running perfectly fine before I took my car here, when I drove it into the service drive and, when the car was taken into the shop for said recall. After 3 hours of waiting for my car to get finished (I was told it would only take an hour and a half AT MOST), I was approached by the service writer who had written up my vehicle and was told, "your vehicle is finished but it will not start." I was puzzled as to what had happened and why my car wouldn't start, I asked to go retrieve some of my belongings from my car and once in the shop, asked the service writer to try to start the car. The car started but died after just a brief second. I asked what they did to the vehicle during the recall procedure and was told, " nothing that would prevent the car from starting," and nothing further. I asked them to try and see if something had potentially been damaged during the recall procedure, I was told no. I was not given any paperwork once I was given my key, no explanation as to why my vehicle wouldn't run and no help at all in the following days of my car "being serviced". All I was told is there is no answer, if I wanted more information I would be charged a diagnostic fee to do so, and still no answer as to why I never received any paperwork (legal documentation) on what had been done to my car. After multiple phone calls with no helpful responses or answers only excuses, I had to have my car towed to another shop on THURSDAY to correct the issue. Still no answer for the paperwork; still no answer as to why my car does not start or what had been done to it. The service writer was acting very shady and didn't seem to know what was happening, rudely handed me the key and walked off, offered no further service or help following the discovery of the issue and no one has offered any help since, even after calling those of higher positions in the dealership concerning the issue at hand. I do NOT recommend having your car serviced at this dealership. Completely unacceptable. read more

I was interested in getting new tires for my automobile, I went to Walsh Honda in Macon but they did not have a good price but the customer service rep. told me if I could find comparable tires at a lesser price they would honor it. So, I did my research and found the same tires at a different dealer they did not have 4 tires however, so I called the Rep. at Walsh to ask if I had a better offer on the tires from another dealer, would he honor the price and he said that his GM authorized him to do so. When I got there about 40 minutes later, I was told by a different Rep. that I would have to talk to his manager. Long story short they did not want to honor the price but they could not argue that the tires were the exact same tires. So we went back and forth for a while until the manager finally agreed to honor what they told me in the beginning. I purchased a set of brand new tires for my car and the service was awful. The technician put 3 tires on correctly and one tire on backwards and splattered white goop all over the new tires and the rims on my car. They actually gave the car to me that way AFTER I had paid them. I brought the car right back, the tech. had left the premises but he was called back to correct his mistake. The tech cleaned my rims and all four tires and turned the backwards tired around. As I left Walsh Honda the car was driving rough but I was so exhausted from all the nonsense that happened before, so I went home got some rest and had to bring my car back the next morning. I showed the manager how rough the car was driving and he agreed to take a look and correct the problem. Even though the manager made every effort to correct what was done I was very disappointed by the service I received at Walsh Honda I hope they retrain their technicians to do a more thorough and professional job on the next customer. read more

I searched the internet/dealerships for the car I wanted. Found it at Walsh Honda. I was trading in a 2003 Ford F-150 Harley Davidson pick-up truck. This was not your everyday pick-up. This truck was like brand new in every respect.Only had 54,350 miles on it. Walsh Honda tried to LOW BALL ME AND OFFERED ME $10,000.00 as a trade. I told the salesperson before hand I would not take that for the truck. While at the dealership they would not make me and offer. Walsh called later after I left the dealership and made the offer. Would not make such a low offer to my face. So I left and went to Lowe Toyota where they had a similar car. Talked with the sales person there and within an hour we had worked out a deal that was suitable for both sides. Lowe Toyota got my business because they earned it. If you want to buy a really nice Harley Davidson Pick-up with low miles go on to Lowe Toyota. I feel they will give you a good deal. read more
