This is place is very busy. They do good job in keeping the shelves stocked, well sometimes.

Can't really go wrong at Walmart! This one is better than the valley stream one but not as good compared to out of state ones. They always have great sales and tubs of goodies in the aisle areas. It's located in a complex with Marshalls, Sports Authority and Costco so I do frequent this store every couple months. They have a great inventory from food to toys to electronics, and car accessories. read more

Looks to have been recently remodeled, with a new exterior and faux wood floors in the store. Clean and well-organized. Not a Supercenter though (so grocery section is limited) and no self-checkout lanes. Irritating that there are only shopping carts, but no hand baskets to carry. read more

I exchanged a panasonic microwave I bought from another Wal-Mart. The customer service girl didn't just help me but when I lost it inside the Wal-Mart (don't ask how cause it's embarrassing) she went out of her way, and when they were printing another one out after looking through many receipts this dude Lamont walked in and told service desk that he found someone's receipt. I'm giving it 4 stars solely for Telisa in Customer Service. She really made our returns a pleasant and expeditious experience. As we ALL know just the thought of bringing something back makes a person cringe and think 3 times before you buy something. The lines in most of the stores are usually out the door. This Walmart isn't any different, mostly because of it's location in a very populated area, but Telisa made sure the staff took care of our needs immediately! I've learned a little trick that very early in the morning is a GREAT time to shop. The store usually opens at 8am so if you can get there before work or get up that early on a weekend, you will be in and out in a matter of minutes!! It's worth the little sleep you're sacrificing. read more

I spent a good amount on time being placed on hold over the phone when I tried calling in about a baby car seat whether if they had it in stock or not because their website was down. After being placed on hold for 10 plus minutes, they hung up on me so I decided to take a quick drive over there to find out in person. I was looking for a particular convertible car seats for 12 months and up. When they checked their system, nothing came up even though I had the Walmart item #. I asked if they can check with other Walmart locations, like the one in Valley Stream. They simply told me NO. A complete waste of my time. I waited a couple of more hours until their website was back up and running. I found the car seat and ordered it online. Estimated arrival date said it would be on 7/29, then they changed it to 7/30, now due to arrive on 8/1. I need this car seat my son pronto! read more

This store now has self checkout. It makes things go a bit faster when shopping. Pretty big store and decent selection. Better prices than the other Walmart on Hempstead Turnpike (but that one has fresh food, produce, and deli). This one is mainly limited to a few fruits and mostly frozen foods. read more

Worst Walmart experience of all times. Took over an hour to get my online pick up and not because of lines. They have 4 different spots for pick ups and no one knows where you are supposed to pick up your item so you get shuffled around over and over again. I was at this horrible walmart on August 28th 2019 this place has the worst customer service and the most in friendly people working here. My mother father and I were in the self check out line. It went faster then the regular line until we had a issue with a process check. It took 10 minutes to get a yellow shirt over to assistance us. In that ten min we observed 4 of them talking laughing and having there own conversations with each other and 3 others helping people. Finally one comes over after we had are light in and was waving are hands tryin to get there attention. Then when my mother asked them to please check the price the woman got another yellow shirt to go and check. She comes back and says that the price is wrong for the thing wr wanted. So when we said we wanted a manger they said ok we will call one. At that point I rwns down to look at the thing we wanted to see for my self to see if maybe there was a mistake on are end. When I got there I found the woman take about 5 of the items off the shelf and put them on another tag and then came back and said that we was wrong. I then explained that I watched her switch them. She told me no I didnt see tha and began argued with me. Mean while dad had already called the store asked for customer service and asked for the manager. They tried to figure out what was wrong and then ask why we wanted a manger. My dad explained to the woman at the front desk that was on the phone that was was in the store at a self check out and were having issues. At the same time I was arguing with now 2 yellow shirts. They kept telling me that I was wrong I didn't see her take any of products off and switch them that I was lieing. I am a firefighter and a private detective I have a sworn duty not to be able to lie for I have to be able to testify in court. She finally said I'm not going to argue with you anymore over 5 dollars. Witch she was wrong again it was 7 dollars. But It is the principle of it. If they are going to be shady like that for 7 dollars what else are they doing. My dad never got a manager we never got a manager to the self check out and my poor 98 year old grandfather who was sitting out in the car in the rain waiting for us and here we have people who are being shady lieing refusing to get a manager even after saying they will. This took over 35 minutes. I have never in my life had this issue before. This is completely outrageous uncalled for and should never have happened. I have been to many walmart's but this is the worst. The aisles are dirty and never stocked. The employees are even worse. The most uneducated people to roam this earth. While walking through with small children all you hear is the profanity from there mouths. They don't have a dress code so they all have there pants hanging down off there ass. I completely agree with many other reviewers that this Walmart location in particular is terrible because of the complete lack of respect and the high level of indifference that their employees display towards customer service and interaction. I checked online to buy a roku hd and it said it was in stock at my local store. So I got to walmart an hour after it opened and went to the electronics department. I found the display area for rokus but couldn't find the model I was looking for. I asked an associate where else in the store I could find a roku and he indifferently told me to look where the others are. So I went back and looked and checked the barcode/pricetag signs and there was none for the hd. I went back to the associate and pointed this out and then pointed out that it said it was in stock here online. He told me they don't update the website for 48hrs and when I showed him the page on my phone saying it was updated not 8hrs ago at 12AM (which means the store was only open an hour since they reopen at 7AM) he very rudely told me that if it's not there it's not there. So I went to speak to another associate because this guy was a complete d-bag. I pointed out the same facts to this other associate who acted almost exactly as the first. Completely indifferent and then rude and disrespectful. I then asked if she could check in the back or just check their computer database and she refused, saying it should be on the shelf. I really don't understand what was so difficult. Since the store had just opened there were very few shoppers there and only one other person in the electronics department so why couldn't she check the computer for 30 seconds. Needless to say, I will never buy anything at this walmart again. I've had good experiences at other locations so I won't completely shut walmart as a company out unless this becomes a trend with employees. As for that store in particular, they need to fix their employees because there are plenty of other places in that area to shop including costco, bestbuy, target, trader joes, and two full sized malls all within a 3-5 mile radius read more

I live in NYC where there are no Walmart stores, so when I was meeting a friend for dinner on Long Island I thought I'd take advantage of the opportunity and visit Walmart in Westbury. Big mistake. I've been to Walmart stores before, but never saw one as depressing / depressed looking as this one. Messy messy messy. Some prices were good, but others were high in general and when the quality of the goods were considered very high. Women's t-shirts at 14.99? Can do as well and better in Macy's. Shelves were a mess. Items in the wrong spots led to misleading prices. I didn't make it into the grocery section - just got myself out asap. read more

I placed an online order of a steamer for pickup at this location. I show the folks there my order number. The guy was in the back room for all of two minutes and comes back and tells me that they are out of stock and that I was getting a refund online. I call walmart.com and they told me what the guy said was ...wait for it.... NOT TRUE. The item is in stock and has been verified as being there and waiting for me! Customer Service gave me an incident number to go back there with but this time I've got to duke it out with the manager. Seriously??? First and last time for me. read more

Walmart is Walmart no matter where in the US you go. It has most of what you need for reasonable to cheap prices. Along with the cheap prices comes cheap merchandise. Nothing really lasts long, especially clothing or accessories. It's a great place to buy shower products and make up but the prices are similar to the prices at Target or anywhere else that sells the same things. The parking lot is always very crowded as is the inside of the store itself. I believe this particular Walmart closes around 9 or 10 pm. read more

I love good prices on things that I purchase, but what I do hate is the customer service here especially when you ask an employee for help and they either turn to you and say I don't speak English or I have no clue what your asking for I don't know what that is. Why hire employees that have no clue how to help the customers? This Walmart is dirty I must say aisle's are not properly taken care of clothes thrown everywhere, food and detergents as well. Bathrooms look like a bomb hit and hasn't been cleaned in weeks (nasty). I basically like the sales they have, better prices than a cvs or Walgreens. I come here for my shampoos conditioner and all my household items. It's a steal! I've never had a problem really with the cashiers they were actually nice and helpful except the lines are long all day. Thank you to Walmart for selling me a defective girls bike ( for my 6 year old daughter ) had it for 1 day and about the time she would get it as her gift i discovered a deflated and disabled tire. I ran to this Walmart where they gladly took the bike back but now didn't have a new one in stock. They searched the local area and found a Walmart in Valley Stream , Long Island that had 56 in stock ! I desperately raced over there at about 10:30pm on a Sunday night only to find NoNe in stock! I was told a shipment would come in tomorrow but this place was way to far for me to go back especially on July 4th. So thank you Walmart and Dynacraft Misty Bicycle company for making my daughters first bicycle such a fond memory , at least now I can but a much better made product and from a much better store than Walmart ! I ordered 10 items in one order and the website said I can only do a pick up at local store. I went to the local store to pick up the items today and had expected all items to be in one box ready for me to pick up, but in the end no, when I gave my order number at the pick up station, the local store give me 3 out of 10 items from the order and in 3 separate boxes, I didn't find out until I got home. The rest of the order was still at local walmart store and some were even "returned" due to not being picked up. How massed up is that. If everything is in one order, I expect to pick up everything in one order. I also like to complaint the manager at 1220 Old Country Rd, Westbury, NY 11590, very bad attitude. Prices are good. Even better if you use coupons. But the employees are far from enthusiastic, in fact they look miserable. Retail is a tough job but management (or Walmart itself) should consider finding out what employees need to be happy. I think they might like a raise. No one has ever been mean to me there, but no one has spoken to me there either. It's sad to see a staff suffering - and I find it to particular to this location. I don't have employees come up to me often at Costco, but they don't look downright miserable. They are also always helpful if you approach them a question. Other than seemly unhappy employees, the store is a maze. Of course its huge, but the layout just doesn't make sense. It's similar to other Walmarts, but the home section along with the craft section (are card section) just don't make sense. The worst: the clearance aisle. No clearance aisle is perfect of course, but it is such a mess, I would have to dedicate an entire day to sort through it. The store needs help. read more

Ok so not only have I shopped at this walmart I also worked here a few summers as a college student a while ago and everything people are saying about this place is correct. You need to understand that the employees are treated like crap by their Asst. Managers; they force you to take your lunch break (cause they'll get in trouble) and then chastise you when you don't get work done on time. Most workers here are unprofessional and unmotivated. Hell even I didn't give a crap when I was here, I just wanted the paycheck. I mean there are like 2 or 3 employees that genuinely try to do there job but most are useless. And the store manager? If I could give a negative star I would... the absolute worst classless customer service and attitude I have ever dealt with in my 40+ years on the face of this earth and that's the management, the regular workers are the WORST,Ghetto acting waste of air and that's being polite. I purchased a phone, IPhone at that, and the first transcation was smooth and they were actually nice and helpful, even gave me 10% off ,( which created a huge issue later on ) That was done and paid by 10 pm. I go home and try to activate and the screen did not work. I called Simple mobile hoping they can help. After the troubleshooting with the barely speaking English rep., he concluded that I would have to go back to store to exchange the phone. As I arrive at the Westbury Location at 11:35pm, when they close at midnight, I walk in to the customer service counter, trying to explain the situation, the despicable worker, name tag covered to avoid getting in trouble, said come back tomorrow. I didn't even finish 3 words , when she asked what did I want when I walked up as she was trying to walk away from counter saying your going to have to comeback tomorrow sir. I was trying to pleed that I just purchased the phone a little over an hour ago, and she was clearly walking away avoiding kept saying comeback tomorrow anytime I tried to speak. So I asked where manager was and she said he left for day, no one can help me, I will have to comeback tomorrow. Finally someone said they would help when I walked around and found a nagtame saying Asst. Manager and tried to do a quick exchange. this is where the real fun begins. The Asst. manager who tried to do they exchange claims I received a discount that I was not entitled to and if I wanted to exchange the broken unit I would have to pay the difference. When they refused to honor the price I was sold for and demanding I pay the difference I decided to return everything. Then they claimed I could not return the plan card because all phone cards are not returnable. None of this was ever mentioned when they were making the sale. And regardless of not being able to use a broken phone they should honor a return of all products sold with it in order to use the phone. At this point they could not get the register to work because it was 1am. They basically forced my hand and the only thing that would work thru the register is me paying the difference of the discount and I took everything and left deciding to try my luck and catch the store manager the next day..... Crossing my fingers. Everytime I use this location and have to return or need help its the same nasty attitudes and disgusting people I rather pay a few more dollars and use Target. read more

Clean efficient nice store, they always have the products in and low prices. Every where you go you will find bad reviews positive reviews and people who just like to complain. IF you look even on restaurant, food stores, car dealerships, car mechanics, movie theaters, play houses, supermarkets, lawyers, doctors, hospitals, pastors, churches, any where if you look up reviews there are unfavorable ones. Some people cant be happy. Instead of putting negative reviews on look up the establishment at the bbb and see the accurate details of there scores, then judge from there. THis is a great Walmart Store, I love it, its convienent, the people who work there are really nice, considerate. If you cant find something simple and easy go to customer service that is where there trained to know where every product is, if they don't have it they do find a closer Walmart that has the product. They do offer rebates so if you don't go up there or speak to a manager how will you ever know. read more
