I could not wait to get home to take to this computer and write a review about a worker at this location! Her name is Andraya (per her name tag.) While standing on long lines because a lot people shop at Old Navy, I watched this young lady conduct herself. She greeted everyone at her register, she laughed, always had a smile. She even held conversations while ringing people up. While standing on the line I seen her leave the register to check items with and/or for a shopper, making sure she let others on the line know that she will be right back. I was worried that the assistance I needed would require annoyed customers or a manager (who knows, maybe she was one based on her professional conduct?) I kept hoping I would get her, possibly give up my spot in line to ensure that. Well, I got her! And I gave her a task!! She was not only up to the challenge, but she was able to accommodate in record time! Not a person on the purchase line felt a lapse in their time or complained (again Old Navy has long lines due to great prices and availability) but you could see she knew everything about the store, the products availability as well as the online website because I needed assistance in both areas. And again, I cannot stress that Andraya was willing to help, with a smile on her face! It was refreshing because a lot of young folks aren't confident or willing. I was shocked that she was not a manager (I had to ask because she was so young.) You could see how she interacted with her co-workers, taking the initiative with both shoppers and her colleagues. I hope her boss sees this post and truly appreciates the work ethics Andraya has. It's funny, this is not the first time I experienced excellence with Andraya, over the summer she helped while passing through the dressing room area and then helped me with a return the next day. You don't forget faces, especially when they come with professional experience and a smile. I felt this time around I needed to put this in writing because in today's day you just can't find good help with young people. The holidays are approaching, times are difficult, people are anxious but if you go to Old Navy in Garden City NY and need help, look for Andraya at the register and she will give you 110%. I promise she won't disappoint! And I just want to add, one of the times I was there, they didn't have enough registers, Andraya was super fast while be super accommodating....you just can't find that combination in customer service anymore, Andraya has restored my faith! read more

Whoaa, what happened to those checkout kiosks in the individual departments? Were those just a trial run? Bring them back! Those checkout stations were so great at alleviating the long lines at the checkout registers at the front of the store. I went on a Sat afternoon and there were about 20 ppl on line ahead of me. Wow! If i didn't need a gift, i would have put all my merchandise back and ran for the door! Please bring back the checkout kiosks in the individual departments. read more

This location is huge. I love how clean it is. Everything is color coordinated. My friend and I came in here to browse not necessarily to buy. The only downside is that there aren't any sales associates walking the floor. What if I need a different size? Would I have to search high & low to find someone. We walked the whole store and didn't see anyone. 3 stars for no sales associate. read more

This old navy was packed. That's because they had some great sales going on! I got a little confused when a pair of Bermuda shorts I saw on the store model wasn't near where it was being displayed. I still do not get why that was maybe they needed to rearrange things? But I found a sale associate and she was able to help me. So I found others in different colors that I ended up purchasing. I did have to use the fitting room which was easily located in the middle of the store. I like that better then trekking all the way to the back of a store. They did not have a lot of fitting rooms maybe 10? And they were filled but it wasn't long before I was able to get in one. Once I got online to check out a fellow shopper offered me her reward $10 off 50. I also had a $10 voucher to use from earning my oldnavy/gap points the cashier said I would not be able to use it with the current store wide promotion of $15 off $50. Since my bill was about $130 I asked if could we do two separate transactions and she was yeah let's try that! And it worked I was able to save a total of $50 between my two rather than just $25! I'm pleased I got everything I needed here today!!! I got two pairs of shorts (thank God they have shorts now since I'm leaving on Wednesday for ), a few hoodies that are so soft and comfy for $6, an umbrella in case it rains during my travels, and Burt's Bees Wax chapstick. You really can't get anything better than that! Plus I saved 10% on the already very low prices because I have their credit card. The store was impeccably clean and well stocked with a wide variety of sizes for everything I needed or wanted. I'm super happy with this shopping trip to Old Navy!!! read more

This place was packed!!! People at every turn. They greeted you and asked if you need help, not with an attitude either but like they actually wanted to do their job. It was refreshing. I did end up getting my son come summer items, they had a nice little sale going on. The line was very long but I will say they had basically almost every register open and the cashiers were quick so the line was moving nicely. I wish I had an Old Navy closer to me but every time I come to this one it's always a good experience. read more

Ok so i woke up today to some bullshit bathroom tub breaking nonsense. So after work i went here with my Super Cash in hand not wanting to spend a lot. yeah ok. Not happening. I got 3 pair of shorts a dress and a top. this place is always neat and clean and i love that. HOWEVER i do hate the fact they have fucking candy at the registers and all these gross kids are touching it and licking it and shit while the clueless moms pay no fucking attention. Was really disappointed with the lack of customer service! I walked in walking past 3 female staff members with no greeting what so ever! Looking at the clothing right by the door, two customers walk in and they were greeted by all three staff members "welcome to old navy!" One worker went on to say if you are purchasing anything with a debit or credit card to those two customers that they will not be receiving a receipt due to an issue with the computer system! Mind you, if I wasn't in ear shot away from the door and the other customers, I would not have known this! Walking through the store, passing other employees, I was not asked if I needed help but noticed other customers were offered help even if they gracefully did not accept the help. When I went to pay with a debit card, I did in fact receive a receipt even after a customer was told earlier that there was an issue with the computer system! If your going to have great customer service, it should not be to select customers! It should be to all customers' read more

Just like any typical Old Navy except that they might have a larger clearance section. Old Navy is pretty much a cookie cutter type of place.. so if you like Old Navy than pretty much only thing that could make or break your experience is rude staff. My interaction with staff at this specific location is pretty minimal but was satisfactory. No disgruntled employees here. read more

I've been reading reviews about this store and I don't understand... the staff is always helpful... the store is messy but I watched 1 customer single handily tear apart 2 tables of shorts in 30 seconds.... I found a bunch of stuff I liked so I got to the line that was long as usual, but I watched the people at each register and every customer had an issue... an online return from 5 months ago, another couldn't find her coupon, couldn't find their receipt... I like this Old Navy. I've been there a few times since it's opened. It started out perfectly organized, clean and neat and has actually maintained that reasonably well by Old Navy standards. I have a feeling it's the same management that used to run the Old Navy store in the Source Mall down the street that's all but empty now. That store was always the best one around. Clean, spacious, great clearance section. The only difference here is that the new premises is considerably smaller, giving it a more cramped feel to the other one. Somehow they still seem to carry the same variety of clothes. I wish the Source Mall hadn't been deserted. It's a better location. That said, the prices here, especially clearance, are better than other ON's. A couple of days ago I was in the one on Hillside Ave where I saw a shirt there for $8.49 on clearance. The same one was $4.49 here. The store seems quiet enough and the staff are fine. read more

This space is very small for an Old Navy. It just doesn't work for a store that covers so many age ranges and both sexes, because in the end the different departments ends up being super tiny, meaning less selection, less sizes. read more

Oh my goodness this place was a mess! My head was spinning. I grabbed one thing and couldn't stand to dig thru any more mess. And when I say mess I mean clothes on the floor, clothes in the wrong spot, the unfolded clothes on the table etc. It just made it difficult to shop. Aside from that, after dinner I told a friend of mine that I was walking down to the Old Navy and she told me the line there is ALWAYS LONG. And she was right. The ridiculously long line was the first thing I noticed. I forced myself to get on the line (that moved very slowly) because I desperately needed this item. I wondered why only 2 cashiers were open and the others just stood around the registers. Perhaps they could've opened up the other 2 registers or clean up the store. I saw and felt the frustration on the others that were on the line with me. Although the the woman who rung me up at the register was very friendly, I'm going to steer clear from the location in the future. read more

Lines are still too long. Not worth the wait for the mediocre selection of clothes they have. There's a reason some of their shirts sell for less than $5. They are not flattering on anyone. Even the expensive stuff is made cheap. Quit putting that horrible smelling polyester and cancer causing acrylic in all your clothes. read more
