This is the better of the MyUnique Thrift stores. I've been to three locations, and this is the one I keep coming back to. Best thing to do is come at opening, that's when all the best stuff will be laid out. They do continuously restock through the day, but I've found the best to be right when the store opens. Can be hit or miss when you go, there are some days I've left with tons of stuff and some days I leave with nothing, but I've definitely found some great vintage pieces, including: an Italian acrylic on canvas painting signed by the artist for $30, studio pottery, carved wood pieces, a set of beautiful, numbered porcelain plates and bowls by Haviland. I was gobsmacked one day when I saw an Aloha beach bag I always wanted, with tags still on, that someone donated! On the topic of donating, this place is amazing. I can't tell you how many things I've donated to this store. I'm glad my things are finding new homes for people to continue to enjoy. Every time I come here, I bring a giant bag of donations: books, clothes, kitchen ware, decor, art, etc. It takes patience to look through everything because yes, there's a lot of crap put on the shelves: stuff from Dollar Tree, Five Below, etc., stuff that's broken that shouldn't have even been put out in the first place. But it's not uncommon to find a great furniture piece for cheap. This location also has the best books and DVD assortment of the locations I've been to. I've found special editions, author signed books, and specialty Book of the Month titles. 50% off everything sales are great and color of the day is also worth spending some time browsing, I've gotten dresses for $2-$4 bucks. read more

I went to Unique thrift Westbury, July 4 sale 50% off. Bring it was my first time I thought wow this is a total score - thrift items are typically 8 bucks and half off would be 4$. They always ask if you are mad if they cant sell you something, that isnt the problem theyll keep on insisting that you're mad. I thought it was just with me. I went to MyUniquw store today. They do NOT inforce thier 3 idem tryon rule. I waited 20 minutes while people minopalized tryon rooms with carts of dozens of clothes. I asked for a supervisor that did NOTHING. It's not worth waiting 20 or 30 minutes while socipaths clog waiting rooms. Management does not seem to care even when you contact a supervisor. If I could give 0 stars I would- 1 star is a bit generous for this establishment. Do you enjoy thrifting? The thrill of finding something cool and different? Don't go there. Do you enjoy being treated well when checking out? Then MyUniqueThrift is not for you. I have gone to this thrift store three times now and each time I'm treated like a criminal. During checkout, the items are ripped out of my hands aggressively, only to be thrown right back at me. The people who check you out bark orders at you such as, "Get over here!" and "Give me that!" Customer Service doesn't exist here nor does civil treatment. Each time I interact with different checkout personnel and they all treat people badly. The lady in front of me the last time I was there had questions about a coat she wanted to purchase and that caused the staff to have a near melt down. "Well, do you want this or not??" they sternly said to her. She was shocked and looked grimly over at those waiting behind her. Wow! I was not glad to see this treatment of others but I realized it was not just me that received bad treatment. So, if you like being treated like a criminal, you should definitely go there. read more

I visited today for the 2nd time. Coming on a 50% off Sale Day makes alllllllll the difference! Paying regular price is a joke for items on a thrift rack. My boss raves about the high end designer suits and corporate attire she purchases here monthly. Today I bought 2 pairs of jeans, 3 tops for $19. They ran their 50% off holiday sale and I think I did pretty good for Guess denim for my daughter at $3. Banana Republic, White House Black Market tops and a pair of Kancan denim for me for $6. This store is definitely difficult to maneuver through but the kids section has some gems. For my daughter's size there was a lot to choose from. They had quite a few pairs of Abercrombie, Justice and Guess denim priced at $3 after the 50% off discount. Many of the suits and dresses were very outdated. No luck there. But the tops I found were very gently used and I even came across items with the tag still on them ! I'll definitely return again to take a look at what deals I can snag. $3 each clothing item is a major score. Many families were leaving with shopping bags full. read more

I like making short films as a hobby and needed to come up with a cowboy outfit that included boots, a shirt, a hat and a coat. Wasn't sure about this place but gave it a shot and man, was it great. It's huge! They had cowboy boots, a nice selection of hats, a ton of coats. Found pretty much everything I was looking for. That, plus a big plastic car for my daughter all of less than $40 bucks. There are many employees and everyone seems to do their job and not walk around aimlessly. I enjoy shopping here for antiques and unique items for when I redesign my room. Always walk out with gems. Hey Yelp Friends, Welcome to one of the most "UNIQUE" stores around! Its "My Unique Thrift Stores" (Everything's Here's donated). Who doesn't love a good pot luck place. I've been to Unique many times before. They're so great if you need an article of clothing last minute and on a budget. Unique offers just about everything you can think of jewelry appliances furniture and of course, there's just so much clothing here. Mondays are the BIG discount day. Also being my anniversary today I thought I'd take a look for kicks for wifey. I'm not telling her I got the ripped-up cute pants at the second hand parking lot donation box place. Church Bazaar sounds so much nicer? And even if she knew she would not be upset, my frugal wifey loves to save money. Wifey actually used to rewash wet wipes. No worries I stopped that. But my old t-shirts are still fair game 4 dust rags. . Hey.?. That shirt went to the dead show in 74 !? And yes.. I have found other poor guys donated dead tie dyes here that I quickly bought. There is no Rhyme or Reason whatsoever in the pricing of the items. You can find a nice Tommy Hilfiger shirt for 7 Bucks.. or Prada skirt for wifey for 12. Best score was a Louis Vuitton change purse ..hope it's not fake. On Monday there is a 25% discount day. So that's the day I went today. I'll make sure to launder this stuff before giving it to her. Honestly don't know what these reviews are talking about but this place is not overpriced. I bought a vintage suitcase here for $4 for if I were to find the same suitcase in gentrified Brooklyn it would probably cost me $30-$50. They probably came on bad days, but even so, things here are like $15 and down. My bank account is happy and so is my wardrobe. Sure the staff is kinda odd but they're not mean. They're just fixing the clothes that people put in other random places and they're helpful to everyone who asks politely. They have jacked up the prices so much that it cost more to buy used stained crap at this place than it would cost you to buy the same item new. $20 for a dvd? Are you high? Shelves are suddenly bare like they've been cherry picking their inventory to sell else where. Crappy amateur paintings for hundreds of dollars. $6 for a single plate or cup. Better off going to the thrift shop in Baldwin where they remember they're a thrift shop and not a high end antique store. I REALLY hope this thrift store wakes up soon. They do have a good selection of items, but are so ridiculously over priced. Walmart & Kmart brands for over $20. Dirty Uggs for close to $100. I use to go all the time but went back today for the first time in awhile and was baffled. We can go to the actual store and get most of these items new for cheaper. Super disappointing as I do want to go back here for their wide selection of items. Horrible customer service where the Spanish employees only cater to Spanish customers. Nobody should have to "beg" to spend their money EVER. I would rather take my donations & throw them out before I give them to this shitty establishment. I love thrift stores, always have & always will. Will I return here? Probably. But tonight, YIKES. Upon entering the store this evening (5/17/23), I went to the jewelry counter & immediately found a distinct looking bracelet I was interested in purchasing ($4.99 & it was half off) in the display case. I asked the female employee to hold it for me bc I had just arrived & didn't look around yet. When I was ready to check out, at the self checkout, there were 2 female employees & a male employee (all Spanish) standing around, conversing. I asked for the bracelet I put on hold & 1 of the female employees said they don't put things on hold? We walked over the the jewelry area, I showed her a picture of the bracelet I took 15-20 min earlier. She asked who helped me. I didn't know who, it was another Spanish woman. This woman stated she was the supervisor, nothing can be put on hold & how the bracelet was probably sold. She made no real effort to "look" for it. End of story, she walked right back to the self checkout area to the 2 employees she was conversing with before I interrupted. I walked around to the other side of the jewelry display bc there were 2 baskets (not in the locked display) of cheapie jewelry/keychains...& what did I see from that angle? Behind the dead/unused register by where I & that employee were just standing, I saw a clear plastic bag & I knew the bracelet I wanted to buy was in there. I walked back around, squeezed myself into this gap between the jewelry display & the counter w/ the dead/unused register, reached around, grabbed the bag & sure enough, YES IT WAS THE BRACELET. Why lie to me & seemingly not want to sell it to me? It was literally right next to this woman & I had a picture of it. Is she blind, stupid or discriminatory? Maybe all 3? When I went back to the self checkout, by this point, I was very agitated & out of the 3 employees, just the male employee was there. After I paid for my 3 items, INCLUDING THE BRACELET, I made sure to pull off the price tag from the bracelet & with the plastic bag the bracelet was in, I threw them/left them on the self checkout. On the way out, I saw this supposed "supervisor" & I made sure to tell her she sucks at her job (& that was putting it nicely). Re read my opening paragraph. This place is hit or miss. Not treasures today but a few odd finds. The store is well organized. They always seem to be busy which is good. Items are constantly being put out on the floor. I find that they are a little more expensive than some other Long Island thrift stores but the selection is greater. All in all worth checking out. They offer a 25% discount on Mondays. read more

Someone suggested this store to me about 5 years ago when my mother was in a nursing home. They suggested buying thrifted clothes to send there because clothing was often lost and never found its way back to her room after laundering. Back then, it was great. The selection was good and the prices were great. When I started losing weight, it was a great way to have nice clothing that I knew wasn't going to be worn for long until I dropped another size. It also used to be a great source of things like prom dresses and shoes you only needed for a special event. And the coat prices were spectacular! Not so much anymore. The clothing is all higher priced and due to their colored tag system, it is not at all surprising when the things in your cart are NOT one of the colors that give you the 25, 50 and 75 percent discounts. As for the hard goods, things used to be in nice condition and the shelves were full. Now, the shelves are sparse and most of the merchandise is chipped and broken - but STILL with high prices! I am a reseller, and I still find a bargain to resell once in a while but not very often. Check really carefully when you do - stuff is always damaged. You can see why when you look in the back at how they keep stuff thrown into huge bins. And if you do go there, make sure you bring your own bags. People are donating their used Target bags that they get free when they shop at Target. Unique prices them at 1.99 - NO DISCOUNT! They should be giving them away as a thank you for shopping there.
