We originally went over to Doc D's Trading Cards, not realizing he sold mainly sports cards. He directed us to The Comic Book Depot, which we thought was really nice as it was clear we weren't sure what exactly we were looking for and he had plenty of sleeves he could have easily just sold us without a second thought. We went to comic book Depot and it was packed. Since we didn't plan on going there, we didn't realize an event was going on and we walked in right about 20 minutes before a Pokémon Event was beginning so all of the employees were very busy getting everyone checked in and set up. Despite that we only waited about 5 minutes before we were assisted, and the guys who helped us were absolutely great. They sell a bunch of single cards for $1 or 5 cards for $4, and then have some more in a display. They were great at helping out a little very excited boy work on building his deck. Forget about the one out in Riverhead. My current hobbies are building scale plastic model and flying model rockets. These are in one aisle that I make a beeline for when I come to the store. The selection is not great, but adequate. The plastic models go on 40% off sales a few times a year and the model rockets & supplies are usually discounted 30% off MSRP. I wait for the annual clearance sale, when they knock off as much as 75% from the already discounted prices. There are also items in the clearance area with prices slashed as much as 90%. Those are usually junky, returned merchandise or damaged goods, but if you have the time to browse through there, you might come up with some gems on occasion.

The space is a bit cramped, but overall, I could see myself stopping in when my kids get older and they're interested in comics.
