I took it as a sign I should inquire within. I asked if they took donations. Yes! they said enthusiastically. The gentleman even offered to help me bring the bags in from my car. The lovely woman Susan, who was sorting other donations was friendly. We began talking and we shared stories about our love of animals. She said they contribute to a couple of local animal rescues in the area. The establishment is small but put together well. Trinkets, clothes, housewares, jewelry and small furniture pieces. The shop is clean and the items are displayed nicely. It has the feel of a cozy boutique experience. I did not have time to browse as I wanted nor take any pictures of the interior. I definitely plan on returning not only to donate but to look for some vintage treasures! This is a wonderful place to patronize if you're an animal lover.

This thrift store is deceptive in how small it appears to be. When you go into the store, you think…read moreit is small. Then you discover that there is an entire basement of inventory to wade through. Make sure you have enough time to spend in the basement since it is a treasure trove for many collectors! Upstairs there are the usual thrift store finds: clothing, shoes, brick a brack, glassware, cds, dvds, toys, books, and the rest of the usual items. The store is neat and well organized, and the woman in charge, whose name I think is Deidre, is very nice and helpful. The store doesn't have a dressing room to try clothing on, but the woman in charge let me use the bathroom to try on a pair of jeans. Going downstairs, I first saw kitchen glassware and kitchen items and electronics. Then I discovered the rest of the wonderful finds to be found: Star Trek and Star Wars figurines, movie lobby cards, Monster magazines, Star Trek Magazines, Mad Magazines, and other assorted magazine titles, tons of cds, tons of dvds, and tons of records. {The magazines sell for $3.00 each; the cds sell for $1.00 each, and the dvds sell for $3.00 each with an incentive to buy four for$10.00. I don't remember the price of records.} There were also many hardcover books, including coffee table type books, selling for $3.00 each. I found the prices on these items to be very fair. I also saw toys and other types of collectible that will interest many. In some ways the basement is similar to the old now defunct store on Second Avenue in Manahttan called Love Saves the Day. It was the store that was seen in the 1985 Madonna movie Desperately Seeking Susan. When I went yesterday, the basement had some sections to it that were impossible to get to in order to browse, so be prepared to spend time trying to find ways to get into a aisle or to a shelf. However, the time spent is worth it. Matt, who runs the basement, wasn't there, but the basement was still open for shoppers. So, this is a store I will return to once again. However, I know I will need to spend more time in that basement!

Sure, there's junk but you'll also stumble upon so. many. TREASURES! Do you have an empty bedroom that needs something of interest? They probably have a set of nightstands, or a bench to put your shoes on. Maybe even a swanky vintage dresser from the 40s? Live out your mid century modern dreams, or collect pieces to create your own story. I've wandered in to search for props for parties (maps, globes, vintage luggage for a bridal shower!), to fill the gap in spaces in my own place (unique beer steins are where it's at) and even to get some basics (A set of folding chairs! A must have PRE-COVID). Prices are higher than a garage sale, for sure. I know you CAN haggle with them but I honestly won't. They're a charity/nonprofit. The last time I spoke with the owner I could tell both him and his staff had huge hearts. They honestly care about people and need as much resources (and capital) to bring about the the most change... Stop in. You won't regret it! Even if you don't take any treasures home.
