The staff is made up of volunteers who are pleasant and friendly. They all are very dedicated to their work. I have visited 4 times now and I never leave empty handed! The prices are fair and sometimes you can't believe the quality of the items. They have some beautiful sets of formal dinnerware that is sooo beautiful and actually affordable!! As I walked in I was greeted by both a sales assistant and Rebeca the owner. Both were very friendly and accommodating, and within a few minutes, I had beautiful sparkly studs in my ears. I was very pleased with how meticulous Rebeca was on making sure the holes were even, she even pulled out a little ruler to measure. The piercing was pretty painless (it was my third hole so I'm kinda a pro.) I was really happy with my experience. It's a calm environment which I think would be good for kids. You are given a cleaning lotion and instructions how to keep them clean and infection free! I am pretty sure they do cartilage piercing on the ear also. Beside the ear piercing, they have a ton of cute accessories to browse. I ended up getting a necklace that have been searching for after seeing it on a girl at the Belmont Stakes. While some things were reasonably priced, other items were laughably priced. For example, an average quality small living room arm chair with slightly faded and slightly dirty fabric was $167.00. You can buy a similar arm chair in Bob's brand new and fresh smelling for $199.00 All in all, if you're in the area it's worth visiting since donations come in every week and you never know what you might find.

I was astounded-- there were other pictures 10x the size labeled $15. It seemed really nervy to ask me $20 for a little picture at a secondhand junk store. I just said thank you and left. I can't help but think that because I am White-passing and was there with my Irish boyfriend, that she gave me a much higher price than she would have given me had I looked more like the other customer there. Really disappointing experience. When I went to the LI Trading Post in Bellmore, I got two pieces of wood furniture for a total of $10. I've never heard of charging customers $20 for one tiny decorative, not even functional, item at this type of store. THIS store, especially, because it was a really mess and hard to navigate (I had to leap over stuff in the aisles to get through-- the place should have citations for fire hazards), and I felt like I was at risk of getting bedbugs just by being in there.
