I took it as a sign I should inquire within. I asked if they took donations. Yes! they said enthusiastically. The gentleman even offered to help me bring the bags in from my car. The lovely woman Susan, who was sorting other donations was friendly. We began talking and we shared stories about our love of animals. She said they contribute to a couple of local animal rescues in the area. The establishment is small but put together well. Trinkets, clothes, housewares, jewelry and small furniture pieces. The shop is clean and the items are displayed nicely. It has the feel of a cozy boutique experience. I did not have time to browse as I wanted nor take any pictures of the interior. I definitely plan on returning not only to donate but to look for some vintage treasures! This is a wonderful place to patronize if you're an animal lover.

In trying to work out the issue, he asked I return ship it to him, but did not reimburse my shipping costs (cost $53 to return ship this big heavy switch) even though it was 100% HIS error. I know we all make mistakes, but William took zero accountability for this issue, and despite my purchase being done in good faith, he took took advantage of my purchase not being local, and avoided all communication. So, when he gets a zero when it comes to integrity, business ethics and a zero when it comes to customer service.

Wandering in to LIFEC's space is like going through a giant garage sale in an senior apartment complex basement at the end of the month when everyone moves out. Sure, there's junk but you'll also stumble upon so. many. TREASURES! Do you have an empty bedroom that needs something of interest? They probably have a set of nightstands, or a bench to put your shoes on. Maybe even a swanky vintage dresser from the 40s? Live out your mid century modern dreams, or collect pieces to create your own story. I've wandered in to search for props for parties (maps, globes, vintage luggage for a bridal shower!), to fill the gap in spaces in my own place (unique beer steins are where it's at) and even to get some basics (A set of folding chairs! A must have PRE-COVID). Prices are higher than a garage sale, for sure. I know you CAN haggle with them but I honestly won't. They're a charity/nonprofit. The last time I spoke with the owner I could tell both him and his staff had huge hearts. They honestly care about people and need as much resources (and capital) to bring about the the most change... Stop in. You won't regret it! Even if you don't take any treasures home.
