We did not know where this office was located, and so we called for directions as we driving into town. The problem was the directions they gave us were for coming from the opposite direction that we were coming from. It took a few minutes to figure out the error and then loop around after we discovered that the directions were bad. We arrived a few minutes late and was told that the appointment had to be rescheduled to another time. I then asked the receptionist to ask the Dr. if I can still be seen today. The receptionist left to check with the Dr. She came back in a while saying the Dr. said we were too late. So, I was rescheduled to a couple of more weeks out. I'm having a concern that as a new patient, I may be subjecting myself to brash treatment, disrespect and unaccommodating or considering my circumstances. What will they treat me like in any follow up appointments? Customer Service is very important to me. When I was still working not that long ago; selling my art at festivals I had great pride in giving my customers the utmost respect, working together with and for them to achieve the most satisfaction for both them and me.

She informed me that because of our age- 59, 62, we would need to pay for specialist copay because most people our age have cataracts or glaucoma. Even though I stated we only wanted vision exams for glasses, she still insisted that they would need 45.00 each for vision exams due to our age. Both were rude and condescending. My husband and I repeatedly stated we made appointments for just the vision exams. We feel we were discriminated against and they tried to charge us extra because of our age. We left and made an eye exam appointment with another clinic.

You fill out the shipping slip the exact same way except you check the overnight box and charge me accordingly. It would cost me hundreds more to stay longer than necessary just because an eye doctor needs to draw a line in the sand about the cost of inflation? It's my extra $15 dollars buddy. I can not eat out one meal for the ability to see clearly for a couple years. Sheesh! Perhaps they should have told me that when I made the appointment, you think!? Then I wouldn't have made special arrangements so that I could get glasses in time. This was a baseline first time exam, but he gave me a prescription for glasses and wants me to return in 6 months. I'm happy to be rechecked frequently because I have MS and sometimes you get optic neuritis. They have an extensive selection of frames to peruse, but you aren't required to buy frames there I used to go to another Newberg eye place that was filthy, had kids/interns doing the eye exams and sold old fashioned type frames. Dr. Polsinelli was so thorough and has the nicest personality! Turns out he's married to his partner optometrist, Dr. Miyamoto, who graduated from the same high school I did! Such a small world. His exam and explanations were beyond my expectations. I mean I've been told for years that I had dry eyes, but no one ever said how to treat it other than buy eye drops. Dr. Polsinelli actually gave me a lesson on home remedies and what causes the dry eyes. After talking about my life changes, he also told me he offers free pediatric eye exams to children 6-12 months old. Wow! I just can't say enough about his practice and I look forward to meeting his wife one day!
