Went on vacation as there was no way to pick them up. Two weeks later stopped in to pick them up and was told they were still not approved. Got a call half hour after leaving his office telling him they were approved. I can only surmise that with all of the negative reviews online and the only reading material being of Christianity, his practice is fed underneath the guise of this hypocrite being 'a man of god' who berates his staff behind closed doors. When the receptionist brought it up, I asked if it cost extra; she said yes, and then told her I wasn't interested. You'd think it would end there. After Dr. Breeden finished the main portion of the exam, she made it a point to get up, close the door, and lecture me about the importance of dilation, imploring scare tactics, and comparing it to having vitals checked. This was just insulting. It's my health, and it's my money, and I have the right to opt out. I'd like to think that professionals could take a hint that money is clearly an issue for me without me having to say HEY, I'M FUCKING BROKE, I'M JUST HERE TO GET A PRESCRIPTION SO I CAN BUY CONTACT LENSES. The icing on the cake was not being given (or emailed) my new prescription at the end of the visit. After I emailed them asking for it, there was another little passive aggressive cherry on top -- part of my prescription was left blank, and I had to dig up my old prescription to find the number (the BC, or base curve, which is either 8.4 or 8.8 when ordering contacts online).
