I had my routine eye exam; in Nov. 2025 I have insurance and received a bill for the eye exam…read more Several calls with Insurance and Shopko, my insurance company sent Shopko proof of pmt, in full in early Jan. 2026 to Shopko, A guy from Shopko called me early Feb. and sd. they received proof of pmt. and to give them a few days to post the pmt. to my account. Over a week later In Feb., Shopko is still showing I owe for the exam. I asked the guy why still show owing when my insurance pd. in early Jan. His comment was "I don't work at Corp, I don't know why pmt. isn't applied yet". I asked to please get this taken care of so that I don't receive another bill. He sd. he would just write off so that I don't received another bill. Well, it shouldn't be written off since you have RECEIVED PMT. IN FULL.. He also mentioned that maybe I should just go somewhere else to get my exams. Since my insurance is really hard to deal with and they always have problems with it. I have a VERY WELL-KNOWN insurance company. I have other coworkers that use Shopko as well. I will make sure they know whati has happened and not to use them. Sooooooooooo Long ShopKo Optical. Immediately I could tell they were not right - only explanation: one eye was vastly different from last time, but even the other eye was wrong. I was told to wear them for 2 weeks, then come back if I couldn't get used to them. But I couldn't wear them for even 2 hours - reading, driving, seeing my husband across the table - nothing was good. So I went back, vision checked again, glasses "match the prescription", told to see someone else for cataracts. Still another 10 days to wait to see that specialist- and then more time to wait after that for surgery - IF recommended. In the meantime, I cant see - not with new glasses or with previous 2 prescriptions. I've done all I can. This review is the result.
