Been see same eye doctor for 15 years, and he caught a serious eye problem sent me to a specialist in Seattle . Then a year later I had the same problem with the other eye. DR. TIFFANY LUNDBERG is very professional and provided great insight into issues I was having for years. I never experience long wait times appearing on time for my appointments. I am dinging one star due to the cleanliness of their exam rooms with some paper being left on the floor. and the age of the chairs that they seated me in for my eye test and exam room. I've been a couple of times for checkups for myself and kids. I'm greater with a smile, each visit has a personal feeling to it. The staff are knowledgeable and are prepared to offer assistance with questions and fittings. The eye appointment has been the highlight of my time here. Dr. Mark Ward is a professional, kind, patient, and humorous guy. I highly recommend getting an appointment here. The waiting area is quiet and full of frames of all colors, shapes, and sizes. The made my glasses incorrectly and then when I said I did not want them to redo them, just return them, they kept a $30 restocking fee! Eric "man -splainded " to me in a very demeaning way that I could not order glasses and then return them all of the time. I felt rushed to make a decision, they made the glasses wrong and then Eric spoke down to me like I was a child. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Unless you like to be belittled. I went to Costo, my new glasses were made perfectly and paid a lot less. Plus better customer service. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Farmer for a few years now. My wife recommended her to me, so I went. I have several nasty issues with my eyes, including (but not limited to) astigmatism and having one near and one far sighted. Dr. Farmer was very gentle, she explained everything in a way I could understand and, when all was said and done, she came to the lobby where they "sell" the glasses and explained my prescription to me. (good thing, too, bc it has prisms and trifocals and goes from 20-35 to 30-200 I think). As long as I can talk her out of retirement, Dr. Susan Farmer will be MY eye dr. She should be yours, too! Take it from a guy who's worn glasses for all but 4 of his 47 Years alive. read more

My experience at Yakima Vision Center has been very pleasant. The receptionist is very friendly and remembered to call me to let me know someone had cancelled if I wanted to come in today. What information the receptionist was not able to give me the opticians were able to over the phone. Dr Mark Ward was extremely thorough and had excellent bedside manner. The optician helped me choose frames that I liked very much and sized them very well for me. The office is kind enough to handle insurance billing as well so I was able to get a top quality eye exam and great new glasses at no cost to me. I will be coming here for all my optical care moving forward. read more

I have the BEST eye doctor in Yakima, Dr. Susan Farmer! I had another appointment this morning to have MRI scans (I think that's the name) done on my eyes to determine the status of the Macular Degeneration problem in my eyes. I am so appreciative for her allowing me to have the tests done today because they are scheduled way into January and I didn't ask to schedule this until December 23rd. Her office usually does this procedure on Tuesday mornings only, but she allowed me to come in this morning on short notice, the busiest day for her and her staff. Everyone is coming in to use their insurance benefits before the new year. I was very worried about my eyes and wanted to know of any issues before starting college again on the 6th. After the MRI, she showed me the scans and explained what they meant. I am so relieved that I don't have a problem now, but that could change at any time with my eyes. I do need to see her (or any comparable eye doctor) to have this procedure done every year for the rest of my life, sooner than a year if I have problems. read more

So here I am about to run out of disposable contacts during the Covid-19 epidemic and Yakima County has the highest rate of infections on the west coast. I call the center and ask them to order me more contacts and am told I'm due for an exam so they won't order me more contacts. Listen, I understand it's good practice to check patients eyes to make sure no problems are occurring, but I explain I have an underlying condition that increases my risk of severe Covid side effects so I can't go in for an exam. I'm told OK someone in their contact lens group will get back to me. No call. Late in the day I call back to check - told no word from contact group, so I leave them a VM. Days go by with no call so I assume my contacts were ordered. My wife is going into town and can pick-up the contacts so I call to see if they're in. Receptionist says there's a note in my file saying no exam - no contacts. Apparently nobody there thought to call me (a long term patient). Now I'm going to run out! You know, they could have called and explained to me how maybe its state law, or their malpractice insurance policy, or some other reason they are prevented from ordering me more contacts - but they didn't. Instead they left me hanging and now I feel like they care more about getting that exam money than my overall health. Maybe the problem lies more with the contact lens group than the whole center - I don't know, but I do know this was an unacceptable experience and I'm seeking eye care elsewhere. read more

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Farmer for many years. She provides the most through exam I have ever received and I've worn glasses for almost 50 years.
