When I went to look at new frames and order glasses. They told me I'm going to have to come back in a week and have my eyes dilated. Apparently the insurance companies wouldn't pay for it at the time. That $40 was cash out of my pocket. What a ripoff. When this was run by Cunninghams, it was very professional and close to my home. Needless to say, I will be looking around for a different eye doctor. Every year I have to go and get a printout of my visit. They always fail to send my primary care physician the result of my visit.

When returning a year later to have my eyes checked my birthdate, address and medical history was all incorrect, making them unable to find my insurance. I was interested in two pairs of glasses, everyday and sunglasses. The quote I received with my insurance was unaffordable for both and said so. When I went to pick up my everyday glasses, I had figured out a way to budget and pay for the second pair. I paid in full for what they said was $1,100 pair of glasses without insurance, but with insurance it was cut down to about half. (See the packing slip picture $79 for their $450 frames, not including lenses). Less than a month later, I got a bill for over $125. When I called they said it was an insurance issue. When I offered to return the unused sunglasses due to finances, they refused and said the store manager would call me. That was January. It's now March and I'm still waiting to rectify this situation.

But as this concerns a matter of personal health and wellness, I'm posting this two star review for this business. I went to this establishment recently (in September 2025) for a routine eye exam and I sure wish I had read the lowest reviews first. One positive: I was seen on time by a Dr. Ayysha but before that, the office manager, did some "intake tests", such as checking pressure in the eyes and also doing, rather ineptly (one eye had to be redone) the retinal imaging. What qualifications she had (besides referring to a chart on the wall of what is the correct position of the eye), I have no idea. Dr. Ayysha performed a very perfunctory exam and appeared in sloppy non-professional (IMO) garb, as if she had just come back from a workout. She was personable, there's another positive. I asked for the retina scan photos to be sent to me in files (which a previous provider had done) and was told by the office manager that she didn't know how to do that and people usually take a photo with their phones. I asked Dr. Ayysha if she could get the scans sent to me and she said that the OM would "try to find out" how to do that. I'll check back in a week if I don't receive anything but I'm not optimistic. Finally, I tried on various frames and before leaving remarked that many of the frames are dirty (meaning, smudged, dusty, etc.). They obviously hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. The not-the-office manager guy just said 'thank you". OK, well then. I won't know if anyone cleaned the frames because I won't be returning to this business for new glasses.

There is high degree of unprofessional attitude and lack of respect for clients. I finally came across this LensCrafters location and was surprised to see they had multiple same‑day appointments available. We showed up and the service was immediate. The staff were friendly, patient, and made the whole process smooth. The doctor was excellent, very attentive, explained everything clearly, and my mom genuinely felt heard and cared for. I paid out of pocket for the eye exam, which was $69, and I thought that was very reasonable for the quality of service. We didn't end up buying frames here because my mom had already fallen in love with a pair she saw somewhere else, but LensCrafters did have a good selection to choose from. Overall, fast service, great staff, and a really positive experience. Would definitely come back if we need another exam in the future.
