Dr. Carder is an expert in how neurological conditions affect optometry. She did 2 days worth of testing on me to make sure she could recommend an accurate prescription. After seeing her, that's where things fell apart. I was recommended neurolens, and I asked about getting a tint or transitions. They said they would call the manufacturer and let me know, so i left without ordering the lens. Now the headache started. Me calling them. Waiting on hold. Realizing the person I need is at a different location. (They have locations in Saline and Chelsea.) Calling the other location. Waiting on hold. Leaving a message. Repeat. Repeat. Finally get a call back, and we cement my neurolense with transactions xtractive. But for some reason they can't order them that day? Don't worry, we will call you on Wed. Nope. And now I repeat the process. Anyway, I decided to go pick up my glasses without ordering the new prescription from them. That wasn't easy either (even though i called in advance), and the receptionist made me wait while she checked our other people instead of just handing me my glasses back.

I finally came across this LensCrafters location and was surprised to see they had multiple same‑day appointments available. We showed up and the service was immediate. The staff were friendly, patient, and made the whole process smooth. The doctor was excellent, very attentive, explained everything clearly, and my mom genuinely felt heard and cared for. I paid out of pocket for the eye exam, which was $69, and I thought that was very reasonable for the quality of service. We didn't end up buying frames here because my mom had already fallen in love with a pair she saw somewhere else, but LensCrafters did have a good selection to choose from. Overall, fast service, great staff, and a really positive experience. Would definitely come back if we need another exam in the future.

10 years ago (2015) Dr. Currcione realized she made a BIG medical error by overlooking my gradual…read moreincrease in eye pressure in both eyes even though I saw her regularly each year. The worst was my right eye which was 35 eye pressure and optic nerve damage. The left also had glaucoma. She referred me to Dr. Gago, specialist, and with two kinds of drops and laser treatments brought by eye pressure down to 20 and below. However, the damage was done. My eyes have been stable but I am afraid to have the necessary surgery which I can no longer put off. Hopefully she has learned from her mistakes as a Doctor but I would think twice about getting her as your doctor.
