It's always a pleasure visit the University of Michigan's Kellogg Eye Center in Ann Arbor,…read moreMichigan. The entire staff in this building are so friendly and supportive. All the ophthalmology doctors and nurses are so knowledgeable about eye care and where to find good eye care products outside their own eye care products and devices.

If I could rate the services here no stars I would. I went in to get a second opinion about Lasik…read moreand PRK. Dr. Main was dismissive, rude and unhelpful. He wouldn't answer my questions with anything substantial and refused to help me get my test results. He told me to request it from my portal and when I logged into the portal there were no results to print or even reference what he did. I am so disappointed in the care of this facility. I will say the front desk people were very nice and even the nurse that did most of my testing was good and efficient. AFTER the visit was also terrible. They told me I would be dilated for 24 hours and I ended up being dilated for 72 hours and it messed up my work and whole week because I was preparing for an event that week that I couldn't work on because I couldn't see anything up close. I also couldn't drive well and almost had to call work off because the light was so painful. UPDATE: The doctor wouldn't write down my results and told me to get them at the desk which he clearly knew nothing about the process because they wouldn't give them to me at the desk. Then they tell me I can get the results for free online. I submitted a request for my documents on my portal and they said it would be free. Turns out a week after I requested them they're trying to charge me $42 on top of the $95 I already paid. Kellogg and U of M is just a money hungry store where they won't help you. I'm never coming back here.

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional service that I received from each…read morestaff member at Huron Ophthalmology. However, I want to specifically acknowledge a staff member by the name of Aubrey. Not only is she professional and proficient in her role as Surgical Coordinator, I was particularly impressed by how graceful yet efficiently she relays crucial information to patients being scheduled for surgery. She has a kind, warm, and positive demeanor. The overall matter in which she handles her responsibilities greatly helped to reduce my anxiety. Each time I have sat down with Aubrey for the purpose of scheduling, I have received exceptional service. She's definitely an asset to Huron Ophthalmology, P.C.'s team. Happy Client, Susan F.

I've been going to get my eyes checked to see what's wrong with them for over a year. My doctor had…read moreme take serval different eyedrops and different medications and even said I had rosacea and made me take a prescription pill for it. I took every prescription they told me to take. And I went every 2-3 months and almost every time I went they had me on a new prescription. My doctor said my eyes were getting better so he took me off all of them a day or two after I get off the prescriptions my eyes are back to being bloodshot red and super irritated nothing changed. I told my doctor that I felt like nothing was actually helping my eyes he said he understood and It's been over a year almost two now and they haven't done anything for me they wasted my time and so much money. Would very much recommend anywhere else.

I was able to schedule a same day visit at the Plymouth Rd location for a foreign body in my eye…read moreand pain. I have been dealing with this for 2-3 years, and Dr. Jonathan Weston and staff were extremely helpful. The front staff was welcoming, kind, and diverse. Desi, the tech, was wonderful and patient. Dr. Weston was thorough, gave options, and was reassuring and comforting throughout my three visits with him for the issue. Staff was able to move me to the downtown location for my third visit so that I could continue to see Dr. Weston for the pain issue. I will definitely be going back for regular care as well as any other emergencies that pop up. They made the whole experience way less scary, and I finally feel like I have some answers and a path forward. Thank you to the whole team!

I unfortunately was given the wrong prescription here... by a lot :(. The script felt very wrong…read moreand I went to get re-tested just 6 months later elsewhere, which I had unfortunately put off due to out-of-pocket costs. So glad I did- The prescription I was given here was both not strong enough (OD -1.50 OS -2.00, only 6 months later it is OD -2.25 and OS -2.50) but also the astigmatism was wrong (OD -1.00x170 and OS -1.00x175, again only 6 mo later it is OD -0.75x165 and -0.50x175 - which makes more sense as my astigmatism has been pretty stable through years and not worsened to my knowledge, but my distance vision has definitely been progressively worsening through the years. I could tell something was off as I had felt my eyes worsened in the year since my prior diagnosis, but was told my prescription was not much stronger but that my astigmatism had worsened. The test went really fast and when shown "before" and "after" new prescription, for the first time in years I saw no difference - despite that I and those around me could tell my eyesight worsened. On wearing the glasses, I immediately and for the months following noticed that my vision was not better than before the new script (and I couldn't see/read as far as other people I compared with). I also noticed that my vision felt "wrong" with the glasses on in a way I didn't experience when I went back to my old prescription (which I did for many months after months of trying the new ones) - I believe this was due to the increase in the astigmatism strength. Everyone makes mistakes - even in healthcare. So I get it. But the most annoying thing is they really try to sell you stuff here! It feels more like a car dealership than a medical office. They try to convince you to buy from them (e.g. "our glasses are better/have special stuff and if you buy from another vendor they will be bad quality and cheap") and also make contact lenses very expensive - most places contact fitting is covered by insurance fully although you do have to pay for lenses, at least with my insurance. But here there is an ADDITIONAL like 200$+ charge for an additional "class" you have to take that isn't covered by insurance? - it is much more extensive than the contact lens policy of the other place I went. It made me think contact lenses were prohibitively expensive for me, but now I am getting fitted for lenses next month and can't wait! I just got my new prescription, but I am very hopeful it will improve my recent uptick in migraine frequency. We'll see, but either way it will be nice to be able to see better! I would recommend looking at other places in your area sadly.
