Waiting on a patient to drive home. Front entrance.

Dropped off a patient for a procedure. The building and surround area seem well kept.

This place is really daunting. There's so many different hallways and places to turn, and it's not clear when you have to go from one area to the next where are you should be waiting who you're going to see. Also, everything moves very slowly. Be prepared to stay here for hours regardless of why you are coming here. It's happened every time and every location I've been at. I feel like you're constantly waiting for something, and it's pretty common because just like last time everyone prepares for these appointments with large tote bags of activities to work on or foods to eat. I was better prepared this time and brought some documents to look at and made sure my phone was fully charged, but when you're coming in for a bunch of eye exams, it's hard to really look at anything that you brought so it's really just making sure I had a snack. I assume that maybe the people with the totes of activities are the family members who are driving the patients back-and-forth to these appointments. Overall, the doctors are nice and the staff are nice, it's just a lot of things going on at the same time. It's clean here and parking is good unlike the rest the Ann Arbor area.

I had a new prescription, for glasses. This is one of only a handful of places who take my vision insurance. Prices are pretty high for frames. There are only a small number that are under $125. Most are $200 and up. It is a pretty busy place, make sure you sign in upon arrival. They did work with me to get my glasses adjusted. I would rate them higher if their frame prices were more competitive with the chains. But they do have a captive audience, being that many eye care specialists are located there.

However, I want to specifically acknowledge a staff member by the name of Aubrey. Not only is she professional and proficient in her role as Surgical Coordinator, I was particularly impressed by how graceful yet efficiently she relays crucial information to patients being scheduled for surgery. She has a kind, warm, and positive demeanor. The overall matter in which she handles her responsibilities greatly helped to reduce my anxiety. Each time I have sat down with Aubrey for the purpose of scheduling, I have received exceptional service. She's definitely an asset to Huron Ophthalmology, P.C.'s team. Happy Client, Susan F.

Not even a full month after surgery, I can see as clear (if not clearer) than with contacts/glasses before. And best of all, none of the dreaded side effects of PRK - no glare, halos, dry eyes! I know that it varies from patient to patient how one reacts to any medical procedure. But Dr. Mian not only gave me great results, but was extremely patient talking me through the process before, during, and after to ensure I was comfortable every step of the way and knew what to expect. The staff at the office is top notch and so kind - they even stayed late the day of my surgery when I was worried and wanted to go back and have my one eye checked. He's also done cataract surgery for my grandma and my aunt, both very successful as well. If you're looking for a well-rounded eye expert for any type of procedure, I urge you to go see Dr. Mian - he is worth every penny!

He's got a great way with patients, explaining things clearly and setting expectations appropriately. The testing was thorough and complete and the office is extremely well run. You get in almost immediately and usually don't have to wait long (Except when you are having surgery, then you may have to wait from time to time). I highly recommend Dr. Mian and the Kellogg Eye Institute.
