He referred me to three eye specialists--a cataract specialist, a retina specialist, and finally a cornea specialist, who ordered a brain MRI. The MRI revealed a tumor pressing on my optic chiasm, which was responsible for my vision problems. I had the tumor removed a couple of months ago, and because Dr. Craig cares deeply about his patients and pursued every lead, I would never have discovered the brain tumor otherwise. I showed up at 3:27pm and was told I was late and would have to reschedule. Told the front desk staff I must have written the time down wrong but never received a reminder to confirm the time and she said they only text reminders - no phone calls or emails. I was not opted in to text messages. When I asked if there was not a grace period, they said it was 15 minutes. I was there within the grace period and they still refused to honor their grace period.

He went way out of his way to help dial in the exact contact prescription with what he thought was best according to my numbers and then what I thought worked best for me based on my photography and optics experience. We did discuss alternative surgeries and what to do based on my high prescription but for now I will stay with the contacts. The staff in the glasses and contacts department were all very friendly and easy to work with. Now all of this is based on my end of December 2014 and January 2015 experiences. When I first got there the first time the greeting person seemed a little stressed but then again I was not 100% prepared with the perfect answers needed to get my insurance going. Anyone dealing with insurances knows that everything has to be right before you can get paid so on her part I understand. The young lady who did the first preliminary exam before going to the optometrist was absolutely a delight to work with. Very friendly, listening and knowledgeable. We talked about her earlier trainings and how she ended up working at MyEyeDr and all was good. She never pushed me on their special optical camera exam (which I want but I did not have the extra money for (its not expensive but I just went through Christmas for five kids). They have a great value package with contacts and lenses but I did not need lenses as I rarely use them. It was nice to see a package deal with and actual discount and not some type of bait and switch tactic. This whole review started because my wife was asking me about going to an eye doctor and I highly recommended that she go to the Leland MyEyeDr. We were going to the Costco eye Dr. but it was always a shock on the eye / contact exam fees. I am sorry but when your eye exams are nearing $300 something is out of kilter. We do shop around and fortunately MyEyeDr worked my normal eye exam and my contacts exam to work with my insurance for a very minimum out of pocket experience. I think all in all I ended up with the full exam and a years worth of contacts for under $100.00 (my wife has decent insurance). I just can't talk enough about how well this office works for me. I told my best friend and I will tell my friends and clients as long as the service stays like it is (and I sure it can only get better).

She seemed to be talking quickly just to get in and out of the room and barely gave me any time to ask a question about the prognosis or course of action.
