Oh my! I was playing pickle ball at the HOP, and when I headed out to my car and changed into my sunglasses, a lens fell out. A screw had come loose. The nearest optometrist is Swell. The staff there was amazing. Front desk charmers offered a variety of drinks while Shelby fixed my sunglasses. She said it was a quick fix and it was. I was given an eyeglass case, cleaner, and a tote bag. Amazing! When I need new glasses or an exam, I will make a beeline here. Swell has been open 8 years and I never noticed it. A friend recommended this practice because he brings his dog to work, and she knows I love dogs! There's a lot to like about this place beyond the dog though. It's easy to get to. Easy parking. Cool office. The absolute best selection of frames in the area (unless you want boring frames that every other store has). Nice people. And, of course, a very knowledgeable optometrist! Dr. Scibal is a great! He takes his time and thoroughly explains everything. I honestly think he has a bit of teacher in him because he wants to educate you and does it in a way a non-optometrist can understand. Alanna in the optical shop is also great. She really listened to what I was looking for in a pair of glasses and offered great choices! She offered her opinion without any intention of swaying you. She explained the prices and insurance thoroughly and she knows her facts. I highly recommend this place! Wait until you hear the music they're playing in the room you're in. I had some debris in my eye for a few days and had been trying to get it out with all kinds of methods at home with no luck. Out of desperation I found Swell and a Dr. Brooks was able to see me. She was so gentle and communicated every step of the process. I'm grateful for her help. She was able to get the debris out! I feel 100% better. Thank you Dr. Brooks, you've gained a new client today! There was also a special added touch that the technician asked my favorite musician and she played the music in the exam room while I waited on the doctor. Instant comfort. read more

After waiting 2 weeks for my glasses they said they didn't pass inspection and had to go back. Here i wait into the 4th week. I'll use lens crafters next time at least I'll get them the same day. read more

First visit to Swell Vision. I'm new to the area and live in the neighborhood. If first impressions are important to you, the design of the office is very unique and inviting (modern, clean, comfortable). A very cool office environment! I was immediately greeted by a very friendly staff, had to fill out some paperwork, and was even offered a beverage. I was informed that a certain scan was not covered by Medicare and I agreed to pay for the scan (this was prior to my exam). After a few minute wait, I was approached by a very friendly technician that asked some questions about my vision health and performed a few tests (pressure, photos, and another one or two that I don't even know). Then the doctor came in, again super friendly. She reviewed the tests/scans that the tech performed, asked me several questions, then had me go through the different vision options reading the letters on the wall. The doctor determined I have very good vision health (for a soon to be 70 year old!), and didn't need to dilate my eyes or perform the x-tra fee scan that I previously agreed to. What other doctor would do that? I was so impressed. Honest, sincere, friendly service and I highly recommend and will definitely return. I recently went back to Dr.Scibal for a complete eye exam for new glasses. I had been to him last year for new contacts. The whole place is so welcoming and really beautiful with so many great and not over the top pricey frames. Melissa was a wonderful help with my selection. Dr.Scibal is so easy to converse with and really explains things in detail. The lovely Horatio was right next to me sleeping while I had my exam. He was a real sweet guy! Great decor, music and beverage hospitality! I can't wait to get my new specs! I'll be back to show them to you! If you need to have current exams.. this is the place to go! I've been wearing eyeglasses since the '80s, and I have to admit that Swell Vision is the best place I've ever had the pleasure of going to for my eyes. The staff is attentive, courteous, and friendly. Dr. Scibal is very knowledgeable and let's me ask questions and gives me the best options that suits my needs.
