I thought the frames selection was somewhat limited but I don't have anything to compare to currently. Overall happy with everything, and will return in the future.

I went in again and there was this one lady at the front desk who was extremely rude and unprofessional. When I approached the front desk to request a printout of my contact lens prescription as suggested by Dr. Rubin, she insisted I had to pay for both a contact lens exam and a glasses exam, even though I hadn't requested a glasses exam, and my glasses prescription was still valid from four months ago. I paid, but requested explanations. Despite explaining my insurance coverage and situation, she remained adamant, refusing to listen and even declined to provide my prescription print out, citing distraction from billing inquiries. She then callously added, "You contact your insurance. If nothing else I can help you. You can be out of here." When I suggested Dr. Rubin come out to explain, the lady at the front desk callously retorted, "Dr. Rubin doesn't own the business. It is what it is; you have to pay for two exams." This further added to my disappointment and frustration, as it seemed to dismiss my concerns entirely. Feeling frustrated and disappointed, I requested Dr. Rubin's presence myself, and he and another front desk staff member clarified the billing procedure and explained changes in my insurance policy. Despite this, I still questioned the necessity of double exams, especially given the recent glasses exam. While Dr. Rubin is excellent, the behavior of one team member left me feeling disrespected and dismissed, tarnishing the overall experience.

I have changed optometry offices over the last several years because I have not been satisfied with…read moreany of them. That all changed today. A few weeks ago, I called to schedule an appointment. I was told I should complete the patient form online and bring it to my appointment. This morning, on the day of my appointment, I received a text message an hour before my appointment instructing me to wait in my car when I arrived and to call the office. Erika answered my call and said I could come in and to knock when I was at the office. She brought me back to do the initial intake and and the pre-exam tests. I have major anxiety when it comes to the air puff test for glaucoma. She was patient as I had a hard time keeping my eyes open as I always blink like crazy. I asked if it was ok if I lifted my lids to keep them open. That seemed to work. At one point, I actually let out a faint scream because I was startled. Once we were done with the pre-exam she brought me to a room to wait for Dr. Vicky Wong. Dr. Wong was very thorough in explaining what she was doing during the exam, the test results, and with her recommendation since I mentioned that my eyes have been irritated and dry. She suggested that I look away from my monitor during the workday every 30 minutes and to blink. She also gave me a prescription for Xiidra eye drops to use for six months which should help to produce real tears. I was offered a sample and discount card. Note: Allied Pharmacy is conveniently located on the same floor of the building. I had to schedule another appointment to come back to have my pupils dilated to finish the eye exam as I wouldn't be able to see very well for two hours afterwards and I had to go into the office today. When we were done, Kim Barnhouse, the Office Manager, assisted with the payment and scheduling my next appointment. When I got home, I noticed that my state of residency on my receipt and prescription reflected MA and not MD, so I immediately called the office and Kim corrected them both, had the prescription encrypted, and emailed both files to me. If I had any issues with receiving them, she offered to fax or mail them. Sharon Pollack assisted with adjusting a pair of sunglasses I have as the frame had gotten loose. She suggested if I leave them in the car that I shouldn't because they can get warped. She said I could come back any time to have them tightened. I can't say enough good things about the staff in the office. They are an all-star team and the epitome of customer service. I have never experienced this level of service before from ALL the office staff. Everyone is professional, personable, and helpful. I am certainly going to recommend them to anyone who asks. This will be my long-term optometry office from this point forward.

The service I received from Mr. David Richards, the manager and owner, was absolutely first-class. He created a customized experience that was unique to me -- from helping me explore hundreds of frame options to introducing me to independent eyewear designers who personally shared the stories behind their lines. I was especially impressed by the diversity of brands, including minority- and women-owned collections, which made the experience even more special. I even got a custom clip-on sun cover for my glasses and chose progressive lenses that are both functional and stylish. Add in great parking, a welcoming environment, and customer service that makes you feel like a VIP -- and you've got a 10/10 experience. When it comes to eyewear, I should admit that I am one of those very picky customers (and David was so patient with me as I tried on many frames). I'm almost embarrassed to admit it, but I had already looked at two other optical stores before finding exactly what I wanted at EyeWorks. But beyond the look of my frames, they are expertly cut lenses. In the past, I've made the mistake of trying discount shops, including Warby Parker, Costco, and Kaiser Vision. Frankly, they didn't get my lenses cut properly, and my vision was compromised. Both pairs of glasses I got from David are stylish, and I see better than ever. The other team members, including Alan and Julie, were also great to work with. You can tell that I am a huge fan of this shop, having just discovered it last month. If you need new glasses or sunglasses, this is the place to go!

We spent a good while chatting as she wanted to know my lifestyle. I asked her to bring me some samples of frames that she thought would work for me. Because she was paying attention during our chat, she remembered everything and found the PERFECT pair of glasses. I actually bought two pairs because I needed glasses for just computer work. I was notified when they were ready and made an appointment to come in and check them out. Again, she spent time with me to perfectly adjust each pair. I couldn't be happier with these glasses. The lenses are of a much higher quality than what you'd get at Lenscrafters, and it's really noticeable in the clarity of the glass. I tend to be a little rough on my glasses, but they have been perfectly fine, and extremely comfortable. The prices are a little bit higher, but with the attention to detail and the overall quality of the glasses is sooo worth it! You get what you paid for. I will gladly return for my next pair!

She is warm, friendly, and professional just as I remember her. I had my annual eye exam today. I was elated when she told me there are two types of tests that can be used for glaucoma: the air puff or blue light. Thank the heavens for technology! The blue light was so easy in comparison. Those days of torture and suffering with the air puff test are gone. Hooray!! I had lasik done in 2016 and she was impressed that my vision hasn't changed much since then and stayed the same as last year. Today I purchased glasses for nighttime driving with anti-glare lenses.
