Go somewhere else, literally anywhere else. Made an appointment for my 8yr old daughter, when we…read morecalled to make the appointment we brought up her age and made sure they take kids this young. Person on the phone said yes. When we get to the appointment and she is being seen, the Dr said we don't normally take kids under 10 or 12. And of course he is having issues. Long story short after 2 separate visits and given a prescription which was 100% wrong. My daughter could see even less wearing the glasses. We were told to take her somewhere else. It's like they just wanted to bill our insurance twice. Because now that I'm asking insurance for another evaluation LensCrafters doesn't respond to the first 2 letters and with just a couple days left of their window to respond/ dispute they request to be sent over the paper work again. Pushing my daughter reevaluation out longer than the normal 30 day period. They made the mistake. They told us to go somewhere else. Now they won't even submit the documents needed so she can see a different Dr.

Alec, who assisted me, deserves 5 stars for being personable, knowledgeable & patient as it took multiple times to correctly yet comfortably position the glasses on my ears & nose. Thank you!

I have been visiting Dr. Keller for about 7 or 8 years and I am very satisfied with her care and…read moremanner. She treats patients with care and respect. The office staff, particularly Maddie, is very friendly and cares for the needs of the patients. What I don't care for (and this is not reflection of Dr. Keller) is the Clarkson Eyecare way of pushing their doctors to recommend procedures that may or may not be necessary. Again, this is not reflection of the care of Dr. Keller, I just don't like the Clarkson method of selling procedures to clients. I have changed eye doctors. Again this is not reflection of Dr. Keller. The doctor I am moving to comes highly recommended from a fellow pilot and the location is more convenient.

I ordered prescription glasses from Clarkson Eyecare and specifically asked multiple times whether…read morea larger frame would make the lenses thicker. I was repeatedly assured by staff that the larger frames would be suitable and that the lenses could be adjusted ("shaved down") so there would be no noticeable difference in thickness compared to my current, smaller-framed glasses. Based on this guidance, I followed their recommendation and also paid an additional fee for "premium" thinner lenses. However, when I received the glasses, the lenses were significantly thicker and heavier than expected due to the larger frame. This resulted in considerable discomfort and dizziness, making them difficult to wear. After noticing the issue, I called the store the same day and was told that this would not be an issue and that I could return to have the glasses replaced or restyled. Based on this assurance, I returned to the store. I went through the process again, including additional measurements and selecting a smaller frame. However, only at the conclusion of the visit--after I had already returned the original glasses, the store manager informed me that I would need to pay an additional $147--essentially charging us for a second set of lenses--because the original lenses could not be reused. This was never disclosed or authorized in advance. I explained the entire situation to the store manager, emphasizing that I had relied on the staff's recommendations regarding the larger frames and had been led to believe that a replacement would be provided at no additional cost. Unfortunately, my concerns were dismissed. Rather than addressing the issue directly, she stated that the earlier communication may have involved new staff and that the original lenses could not be reused, and therefore an additional charge would apply. However, this situation arose as a direct result of the staff's incorrect recommendation and misleading information, not due to any action on my part. I communicated this clearly, yet no effort was made to acknowledge responsibility or offer a reasonable resolution. Due to the urgency of needing functional glasses and the manager's refusal to resolve the matter, I felt compelled to pay the additional $147 at that time. This charge was incurred solely to correct an issue caused by the store's own guidance, rather than any preference or error on my part. Since then, I have contacted customer service twice and have been waiting for more than two weeks for a resolution. I understand that the store manager has characterized this situation as a matter of personal preference ("not liking the style"), which is inaccurate. This experience has been extremely disappointing and unfair. The misleading advice, the unexpected charge, and the manager's unprofessional behavior have caused significant inconvenience and loss of trust.

I have been going to this location for over two years and have been very pleased the whole time. I…read morehave found the office staff very friendly and helpful. I absolutely love my doctor, Kayli Schwamb. She is personable, helpful, and knowledgeable. I wear contacts and glasses and she has helped me with finding the best lenses for me and most recently even helped me narrow down my decision on a new set of frames. I would highly recommend this location. I recently moved, and there is a closer location, but I chose to go back to this one because I like the staff that much. Another perk with Clarkson is you can now do everything online such as set up your appointment, pay bills, see status, etc. Very handy.

AVOID THIS LOCATION. The level of professionalism at this facility is far below what patients…read moreshould expect. We clearly stated that we were not getting contact lenses, yet they still enrolled us in a Sunbit loan for over $1,000 tied to a 12‑month contact lens prescription we never asked for. They also failed to enter our insurance information, which appears to be why our basic exam was billed at an unusually high amount and not covered. We confirmed this after speaking with both Billing and Insurance on the same call. It's concerning that they were able to add us to a loan without issue, but now claim they cannot remove us from it. We're now stuck dealing with the loan provider ourselves, all because the office processed a contact lens prescription we explicitly declined. And yes, this has already been escalated to an attorney who is on standby. Customer service has been disappointing on both the Sunbit and Clarkson sides trying to get this resolved. There needs to be real accountability for situations like this. UPDATE: After the Clarkson manager told us to call Sunbit to cancel the loan, Sunbit informed us that Clarkson must submit documentation in order for the cancellation to happen. So now Clarkson is holding the eight boxes of contacts they ordered, despite us clearly stating we did not want them and we are still stuck with a $1,000 loan we never agreed to. FOLLOW‑UP TO OWNER: We resolved this issue on our own over a month ago, and we're only now receiving a response in April. Neither the in‑store team nor the corporate office offered any assistance, and although we were told a district manager would contact us, that never happened. You don't need glasses to see that you're more focused on making a quick buck than actually addressing the issue. If you were genuinely committed to rebuilding trust, you would have reached out long before now, and the fact that we're heading into July makes that pretty obvious. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for eyecare. This place is all about sales, not service.

Dr. Justin Wilkinson provided the most thorough and complete eye examination that I have received…read morein years. In doing my refraction, he did 2 tests for glaucoma, took a close look at my retina, a close look at my natural crystaline lens, and assessed general ocular health. I we are progressives and have myopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia. The astigmatism makes the progressives a real pain to get right. His refraction was spot on; the alignment of the progressive lenses was also perfect. Frames were abundant and my preference of rimless frames were offered in numerous styles. If things go out of alignment, I can simply stop in at any location for adjustment - a piece of cake with their many locations. A great customer experience and fantastic patient care. I was in the vicinity of Clarkson Eyewear on Clarkson Road in Chesterfield, so stopped in with the mangled glasses. To my delight Emma greeted me and asked how she could help. I was ready to purchase new frames from them, but Emma was able to restore them to like new condition. The best part was there was no charge. Briana, Jody, Emma and another associate there could not have been nicer, more professional or accommodating! They run an excellent business. They carry quality eyewear and offer outstanding service.
