I used to go to this Walmart all the time as it's right off the highway but had a below average experience. This location tends to be more busy but I haven't ever really had any complaints outside of other customers. First of all I just needed contact cases but they were locked away. The attendant I asked to help me grab them was all "well did you hit the button for assistance?" I said no because I didn't see one and didn't even think it was relevant since the worker was two rows over. They proceeded to be rude after I told them exactly where the contact cases were in the case and they still didn't know where to look. "Where? Which one?" I had to visibly point even though it was a foot away from them. After grabbing it they then decided to be nice and tell me to have a good day. Honestly just a weird experience/energy overall. Only gave it 3 stars instead of 2 because the store added more sections and the place looked more organized and put together. read more

Pharmacy is always great. Didn't stock a couple of items I wanted. Mild annoyance. Two manned checkout lines with 3 lines of people 3 deep waiting to checkout buggies full of groceries. Okay, I'[l go to a self-checkout line, but out of 14 self-checkout stands, only 2 were open with several people waiting in each line. I went shopping at the 136th st. location this afternoon.. when I got home I realized I had forgotten a bag of groceries. I have tried to call 5 times to reach someone.. and not one single department has picked up. I would go back this evening but I live over an hour away. Spent 45 minutes waiting for someone in the fishing section. Paged 3 times and spoke to multiple people who were oblivious and couldn't care less. People ended up leaving the store after no one showed up. Over an hour later and $120 we finally got our fishing licenses from someone who couldn't care less about helping us. Absolutely ridiculous. Would give zero stars if possible! Not many places are open after 10 PM, hence Walmart. When you walk in the door past 10:30 PM expect at least 2-4 people to tell you how much longer you have until they close. When I tried to walk 8 steps down an aisle on my way to check out a girl who worked here threatened to call the police and have me banned from the store. WHAT?!?! Good old Walmart! Grocery section never seems to have any staff around to help locate items, or direct you toward anything you're searching for. Knowledgeable staff are rarities, when you can actually find an employee. In the "FRESH FOOD" section, BE SURE TO DOUBLE CHECK SELL-BY/EXPIRATION DATES!!! This location is almost always stocked backwards in the Meat area. (Old product underneath newer product). Too often, I have found rotten meat, expired meat, bruised meat, packages with severe leakage/bloody packages dripping onto other meats on the racks underneath...and of course the common expired meats which have not been removed from the shelves. -Not to mention the many rolls of ground turkey, beef or pork (sausage) which are still put out for sale, even though they have been sliced open or punctured apparently from employee box cutters. Other customers have also said the same thing when I'm in the store; management doesn't seem too concerned. The manager overseeing the entire area, Brian, does his best to make you think he's listening. But when you see the same thing every time you go in, it's obvious that voicing your concerns is pointless. Perhaps one day a customer will sue this Wal-Mart after consuming bacteria-infested expired product, and then with any luck they will begin to concern themselves with public safety over profit. WATCH OUT, PLEASE READ THIS SAFETY WARNING: In the 136th ave location, there is a large, uneven crack in the floor of the Fresh Meat area; it is to the right of the seafood freezer, directly in front of the Chicken display shelves. Look down, there is a large crack which I have tripped over TWICE now, and almost fell once. I have also seen other customers trip over the very same crack. How can such obvious health and public safety issues continue to remain for months or years, without any sort of effort to repair or even acknowledge the potential dangers and risks posed to the very same public which spends its hard-earned money to keep this wretched store in business? Unfortunately, not all of us have the option for visiting any other stores due to work schedules, transportation etc, which is why this location is still one which I am still forced to shop at. With any luck, someone will verify and confirm this review so things might actually get better at this carefree establishment which places profit well above people. (Which is also interesting, considering how many empty spaces this WalMart has on the shelves throughout the grocery section- I can't understand how this place can have more empty shelves than the constantly-packed location on 100th & Grant). read more

Worst Walmart I've ever been to in the Thornton area. That's including the Walmart just down the road that had a shooting. They routinely shut down self check out at night. So, you have your choice of 3 30 minute long queues to stand in. The cashiers have gaunt and defeated faces from being needlessly worked so hard. The day shift isn't much better as it is nearly impossible to find an available employee if you need assistance. There is a clear lack of good leadership here. The manager at this establishment, if there is one, should be ashamed. Every issue points to bad leadership. They are dropping the ball big time. I'll be shopping at the Walmart on 104th from now on. I'd rather risk getting shot than step foot in this place again. read more

Entire store is out of order. Things are everywhere setting on top of displays, open food, open drinks, employees on cellphones. Clothing and trash are on the floor everywhere. Trash and misplaced items in every line of sight. A person can not look in any direction in this store from any part of this store and not notice several items not recovered, trash, damaged or opened merchandise, or an employee not working. if I could give this place no stars I would . I went recently to Walmart (10/23) with my FAMILY 2 kids under 2 and husband to shop for our weekly needs and we were followed our whole way out . Not sure if I was being profiled for being a person of color or just discriminated thinking I was going to steal . I think if I were to steal I'd do it when I wouldn't have my kids with me but no. Normally put ourgroceries is bags with scan codes facing up so we have everything fixed and ready to go and not struggle on the way out . We went to self check out and a working that was a guy told us to go with him to a lane check out because the "machine" wasn't working but I had previously made a different transaction on it .-. The guy that told us was rude and was trying to rush us telling us "hurry up" and to go to lane 3 with him and he even ended up charging us extra on some stuff . We never tried to steal like i said and I think if I were it's was logical that I wouldn't have to bring my kids to witness it. Never going back to this place again. read more

This is 2nd time I've come in this Walmart to get an oil change with identical results. They are supposed to open at 7:00 and I got here about 7:03. No one was in service center until the gal, Loraine I think showed up at past 7:05. She was trying to then get it open.they didn't have overhead doors open til 7:20 and it was after 7:25 when my car was brought in. I'm old school and was always taught to be early to work but Walmart is trying to save money at the expense of happy customers! I will go to an oil service company from now on and will spread the word about how horrible these 2 experiences have been!! The electronics department is a neglected area in this part of the store. It is terribly understaffed. The manager of the department, according to multiple associates, who works there is frequently late to work, or doesn't bother to show up to work at all. When she does come to work, she berates them when they don't show up for their shifts. Associates also tell me that her breaks are well over their limit, as well as her lunches. She also blames her poor work ethic for her "anxiety." 1. Doesn't show up to work. 2. Frequently late to work. 3. Makes excuses 4. Points fingers at her own staff. This is the sign of a drug addict. Nothing more. Nothing less. It wouldn't be a surprise to me if there are other people in her family who have similar struggles. If you want to receive quality service, go to Grant Street. As for the electronics department in this store, I received exquisite treatment from the likes of Ryan, Nathan, Cierrah, and Ethan. I highly recommend talking to them if you go here. As for the department manager, whatever her name is, management at this store needs to look into replacing her. read more

My friend and I visited this store today to buy our plants for the summer. The customer service in the gardening department could not have been better. They were extremely helpful and very pleasant. Hard working and professional. The price of plants was the most reasonable in the area and the plants had been well taken care of my Reagan. "I'd rather be at my Wal-Mart where i feel skinny and rich, instead of Cherry Creek where i'm fat and poor...". This is what my friend said to me while we were shopping the uber-expensive 'ladies sports stores' in Cherry Creek the other day. On a quest to find reasonably priced patio furniture we ventured up north to the new Super Wal-Mart - yep - the very one my friend frequents. Super or not, it is still a Wal-Mart. Initial excitement at the sheer size of the store quickly turned into that ironic claustrophobic feeling that Walmart evokes in me. My husband commented that it seemed just like the Cancun Chedraui (you who buy beer in bulk on their Cancun vacations know exactly where i'm talking about). And yes, it totally did. Cheap and strange merchandise was in abundance, like the weirdly textured pack of kitchen towels, the huge oversized coffee cup and saucer (?), and the large branches crammed into a pot of soil to be sold as seedling trees (did they even have roots yet?). I tried to make everyone in our party buy something but we all walked out empty handed. The one redeeming factor: entertainment. Just walking to and from the parking lot people-watching was worth the drive. And yeah, we did feel rich and skinny up there..... read more

This is for the McDonalds in Walmart. Nothing can frustrate a gal more than taking a couple kids to a Walmart Supercenter and trying to get them out before you break down and by them something. We went to McDonalds. The staff working couldn't have been perkier. And when the young lady who took my order made a very understandable mistake, her manager who was working the counter gave us the item free, even though I offered to pay for the item. I hate Wal-Mart. I like their prices but I hate the people who run up behind you and shift impatiently from one foot to the other so you cannot even take the time to read the front of the box of cereal. They rush you. There are too many damn people there ! I also had a cashier who double charged me for an item...and I caught it, and instead of believing me he started rummaging around through the sack to see if there were indeed TWO cans of meringue powder. He picked up a small bottle of Wilton food coloring as if to prove THAT was the item....I informed him that the powder was 4.50, the food coloring was 1.50. He took it off. Then I went to the door...there was a line to get OUT ! And WHY? Because they now check your receipts at the door ! I commented to the elderly lady who was scanning mine with her yellow highlighter that this was a new procedure. She stated , quite straight-faced that they had ALWAYS done this. I quite calmly told her that after YEARS of going to this store...they had NEVER done it. (For GROCERIES..not even a big box item or something!) I didn't want to believe the bad things I heard about this place because it's so close to my house. However, the management and cashiers are terrible, rude, short tempered and inconsiderate. They make people feel shame for doing things like writing checks, and they have no regard for customer service. The store is clean and well stocked. My guess is that no one goes there because the people are so rude. There is a Target a few miles away. I will go there and leave the nasty in one place so I know what to avoid. Worst Walmart ever.... Their oil change department is ridiculous. The first guy I spoke to, said they will change my oil, and it will be an hour wait. I said that is fine, then a older guy came and said no the wait is a couple hours. Again, I said that is fine because I needed to get my oil changed. Anyhow, the guy said okay and started to punch things in his computer. And after a few minutes he said they can't change the oil in my car. I always had my oil changed there, but this time, they said they can't change the oil. Because of problems with another customer. That is so dumb.
