The deli only has one person that actually helps customers. The rest don't even acknowledge the customer is there. All you need to do is say something. Ill be right with you. I see you, hang tight while i put this away and wash up. Something. They always seem to be out of Alexia potatoes. This King Soopers has been our grocery store since we moved to the Front Range from Texas in May 2018. We love this store! BC "Before Covid", we could always find anything we needed or wanted! The staff have always been incredibly professional and helpful! I love that the store is committed to providing items grown or raised in Colorado. However, this has been a disastrous year for root vegetables-- potatoes, sweet potatoes, and all members of the allium family--onions, shallots, and especially garlic, are just awful, statewide! I am posting these garlic photos that I took yesterday morning, May 29. The black, moldy rot you see is botulism! I politely pointed this out to a produce department staffer, cautioning her that all the tainted garlic needed to be thrown away immediately. I was shocked when the associate rolled her eyes at me and told me that the black, rotten, mold was "dirt"! I was shopping today for groceries and downloaded the required coupon for the petite sirloin steaks only to be told "We're out of them and don't know when they will get more in". It's 1pm and the last day of the sale. I think it's poor service not to provide the advertised sale items through the entire day. They were also out of the pineapples that were on sale. They did have two other sale items available that I did purchase. Lesson learned- shop earlier in the day and at the beginning of the sales date. read more

I'm in love--- I USUALLY H8 KING SOOPERS, but this one... Oh, I wanted to marry this one. Pure Asian goods, better sushi, gyouza, shrimp and their meat department is beautiful. They have a wide natural beauty selection, baby care, and their bakery actually smelled like one too. I thought the prices were a little high end, but we got the best selection for chips and ranch dip. The Hawaiian Original Bread was already $4.49. That was worth the quality of the bread. they have numerous open self-check out lanes that don't exceed lots of screaming customers waiting for it. There are numerous opened cashier lanes. I loooooove the pots and pans collection. This King Soopers looked like a mini Whole Foods/ Natural Grocers, because of the promotion of natural brands. I was looking at some of the sales (which is made WAY more complicated than it needs to be!) and thought I would give them a shot. One of their sales gigs is that if you buy 5 participating items you get the sale price. I wanted to ask a clarification question about the sale and approached a woman standing in the store breaking down boxes. I walked up and said, "Excuse me, mam?" She gave me a look that said "wtf are you talking to me for?" I then asked her, "Could I bug you for a second?" She scoffed at me... Yes, scoffed! Sniggered and looked away. I replied with, "No? Wow, okay Kool, I'll walk away then." While I said this I heard another woman in the idle laugh. I had JUST walked into the store! I hadn't been there Maybe two min! I took my purse, left the cart there and walked out! I would not shop here if you paid me to do so! It made me wish that there was a King Soopers exactly like this one closer to my side of town! It has obviously been recently remodeled and was very pleasant inside. It pains me to update my review for this location but this store recently had a remodel and usually a remodel means an improvement but, this time it was for the worse. Since this is my neighborhood store, I would usually shop here, everything was easy to find and conveniently located, the deli/hot foods section always had plenty of fresh foods ready to serve. Now after the remodel items are not located in the same fashion and I find myself having to take inordinate amounts of time just to find where they moved everything too. That doesnt really bother me since I can relearn the new location, what really upsets me and discourages me from using this store is the removal of the hot foods section. King Soopers has always been known as a place to get a fast, hot, and reasonably price lunch. I would mainly find myself stopping in just for this reason alone. The hot foods section of the store appears to have been sold or leased to a company called "The Chicken Co." They no longer offer the same hot, fast and dependable lunch that I so admired King Soopers for. Yes, they do offer a lunch but you get half the food for twice the price and they have a very limited selection too choose from as well. I have talked to employees that used to run the previous hot foods section and they said that many other customers have had similar concerns over this haphazard remodel. read more

I have went to buy the fried chicken dinner a few times in the last couple of months. There is a young blonde lady (little bitch) that works the counter in the early evenings, she has no customer service skills whatsoever !! She has a smartass attitude and acts like she is doing me a favor. She needs to remember that the customers pay her salary. She rolls her eyes and acts like I am intruding.... Not good. Other departments and experiences 5 stars, but bakery experience reduces rating. Disappointing German chocolate birthday cake Sunday. Granted it was the last one left, but not really acceptable to put it out for purchase. The layers weren't the same size and some looked like they broke or "fell" (flattened like a pancake). Was the baker a rookie that afternoon? High & thought It was artistic? Also the top layer of frosting was good, sorta like a cross of praline and normal GC frosting, but the other layers like paraffin. Gross and inedible. I can eat one of the 4 think layers. That's ok. In general I prefer King Soopers over most grocery stores and this one is very good. Easy to find stuff, very good produce, friendly staff and most importantly lots and lots of self checkout lines. My wife does most of the grocery shopping in our household. I am usually the gofer for when we need one or two things right away. I see no need to stand in line to have someone check me out for a couple of items. The only downside I see at this location is no gas station. Recent Remodel!! Brand-New Starbucks counter in the store. Well, that's enough for me. But wait, there's more!! There's an Olive Bar, with Oil-Cured greek olives, Balsamic Cioppino Onions, Roasted Garlic, and more. Right next to the Cheese Case, with constant samplings out of goodies like goat's milk cheeses encased in Vegetable Ash and Cow's Milk Triple Cream Style cheese. (Today's sampling.) The deli case is larger and cleaner than average, and the overall cleanliness of the store is impressive, even on a mucky, snowy day. Friendly, chatty, informative employees round out my rationalization for driving the extra 10 minutes to get to this Soopers over the 3 closest to my house. read more

I am happy that KS and its employees resolved their labor dispute because the employees deserve a fair shake and many of us rely on the staff's hard work in addition to KS's products to sustain our lives. Since the end of the strike, I have witnessed an effort to make this KS a place where people can be proud to work and shop. However, on more than one occasion, I felt as if I fell down the rabbit hole into madness. Let's excuse the numerous carts/palates that are in the aisles at all times of the day, every day, because maybe part of this restocking nightmare is due to supply chain issues; fair, yes? What I find more frustrating than the occasional empty shelf or dance around the mountain of un-stocked items is a lack of professionalism. Hey, it's not just for stick-up-the-butt corporate minions, it applies to everyone receiving a paycheck. If I am in the mood to be entertained, I guess I should just hit KS at the right time for some chuckles because I feel that anything goes, only Cole Porter had nothing to do with it. The other day I was treated to two employees openly deriding another(new/trainee?) employee behind their back all while blocking the aisles and as I approached the checkout lanes, I was privy to the undulations/evil little dance (I'm not kidding) of another employee as she was being approached by a co-worker. My husband worked here for about a year. He left this company almost a month ago after giving his 2 weeks notice. We are still waiting on his last paycheck 24 days later. He has gone down to talk to the store director about what happened to his pay and was told that she was too busy to do the final paperwork. A few days after that he was told it would be an additional 10 days. 10 days has come and gone. This is embarrassing for a company this big to not pay it's people, especially when everywhere is short staffed. I love the King Soopers itself, especially the flower section. Not all, but some of the staff is nice and sweet. The pharmacy, on the other hand, is always a pain! They are unfriendly and never seem to want to help you. Out of 3, two times, they make empty promises which results in coming back three times for the same item. Super annoying. Before this experience I would of given them 5 stars, considering we spend almost $1,000 a month. Today we were running lots of errands about 45 minutes away from home. We stopped at a restaurant for dinner with an extremely hungry baby. Last week we purchased #enfamil 8oz ready-made, in a six pack. We packed three for today's journey. After we order a nice dinner and the baby started fussing we made her a bottle. We gave her a bottle and after a minute or so my husband noticed it looked different/funky. To our surprise they had been expired for over a month (3/1/17)! Do we take the chances of diarrhea or just pay the waiter and leave. We took the latter of the two. Super disappointed and made a dash for home. So when I called to talk to management, the first was a manager in training who could say much, which I get. Then we I talk Dee, the store manager who informed me she'd refund me. (Well...DUH!) But nothing for the inconvenience. I will never buy formula from them again and after their underwhelming apology and no action to make our situation better. I'll take my families money else where. Would you like expired food? That is what I was forced to feed my baby. Thought I could trust this store, so disappointed! After thought, one of the things she mentioned was how much theft was in baby formula. Huh ok, are you suggesting I might've stole the formula? Today, one gentlemen proceeded to address me over and over again calling me " Miss lady", "HEY! miss lady".. four times! even though I continued to walk away without answering him. So, ever since I reviewed safeway and mentioned that I didn't like 'wierd soopers' I have had to go there for convenience sake. So I thought I would review 'w. soopers' officially and try to objectively list my likes/dislikes. Here goes.... Dislikes - the fact that's it's always frickin crowded, seriously, has anyone else noticed this. It's like some weird lemming thing....oh look, everyone's at weird soopers, I think I need milk or something...... - I have had odd run-ins w/a few checkers that feel it's their job to give me, what else, but weird advice. Thanks but no thanks! - They don't carry the brand of foaming hand sanitizer I like - and they smell weird, ok, they don't but I can't think of why else I don't like them right now.... Likes: -Their produce (at least at my location) has been looking pretty awesome and fresh lately -Have to give them props for the 1 penny horse ride, kids love that although it's prob a germ fest....hmmm maybe I should put that as a dislike as well....... - Oh yeah, then there is the cake....not all the cakes, but one chocolate cake lovin that is PDG (pretty damn good). I think it's called original cakerie slice (goofy name right?) Anywho, mmmmm good. So to sum up, the likes appear to outweigh the dislikes, so I will try to get over my sooper-phobia and make the best of this place. 5 stars may seem excessive, but I can't think of a better grocery store. I find the staff courteous, friendly and helpful but not annoying. The recent renovations have created a 'higher end' feel with cheese stations, expanded produce, and more kitchen accessory products. Its easy to get in and out, and if traffic is your concern, try off times like 9-5 during the week. I also find the deli helpful - ask for a recommendation and they seem more than willing to share their favorites. read more

This King Soopers is HUGE! They have pretty much every product you could ever want to buy from a grocery store (although we couldn't find ginger beer...). There is also an extensive cooking-utensil section, which is missing from other smaller King Soopers locations. Obviously there is a Starbucks, Bakery, Deli, Pharmacy, Olive Bar, etc. here for your convenience. They even have a little seating area where you can 'rest and recuperate' which may be well-deserved after wandering the endless aisles of product. Staff is friendly, parking is easy, and there are lots of self-checkout lanes. Lines went quickly and we were able to get in and out without much of a headache (even on a weekend). I like this location and I hope to come back soon. read more

This is where we grocery shop weekly. The store is usually quite clean, and the friendly dude working in the Produce section who always greets customers and says hello is great. The meat and fish counter guys are also super friendly and helpful. Unless you go here at a very busy hour, you can usually get in and get out fairly quickly... we go on Wednesday or Thursday nights. The checkers are fast, but the guys who bag the groceries usually do it in a weird haphazard way and we try to do it ourselves. The self-checkout is a disaster area, avoid! read more

There are so many King Stoopers in the area, I had to look for the frame with the tax info and employment compliance posters to verify the address. The employees didn't know! :) I came to this store this morning to do some work at my netbook in the "patio" area next to the Star*ucklet. This was after a fail attempt to do the same at the Bruegger's Baglery nearby (see that review). The "work area" is quite nice, actually, considering. I counted 19 tables. There are AMPLE outlets! Yay! There are tables of all sizes and heights: bar height, regular, and fireside chair height. Very thoughtful. See the pictures. The Star*ucks is discreetly separated from this area, how tasteful, compared to the one, say, on Arapahoe and 30th in Boulder where its' in your face and the employees talk to you regardless of your interest. Also, unlike that Boulder store, no homeless, mentally ill, or entitled persons were observed. There are also police sargents staking out possible bombers, and drinking coffee with no donuts in sight (!). There are TWO security cameras, for the store's protection (not yours). One movable, the other connected to a ceiling-mounted monitor so you can watch yourself being watched! How cool is that? There's a fake fireplace that puts out no heat. Too bad, 'cause this is a supermarket, and it's a bit chilly. Wear a jacket or sweater. Kings Soopers wi-fi is of the proxied type that requires you to log-in so their lawyers can get you to tick the box agreeing to their lengthy terms of service. You also get to see ads after you comply and submit.. After that, you can surf relatively unmolested. I hate these setups, and have started using a proxy service so google, doubleclick, et al, don't know my whereabouts and shopping habits at all times. Now they all think I'm in California. Or Hong Kong. Or Sweden. Point being, the VPN tunnel works here. Privacy partially obtained at reasonably high speeds! I got 1.2 Mbps up and down when exiting the VPN tunnel at Sunnyvale, CA. Of course, just using plain ole' wi-fi, you'll get even better speed AND be monitored at multiple points. All at no charge. Oh yeah, and even if you shop at Sprouts or Sunflower, at a minimum King Soopers usually has the best price on milk and non-organic eggs. The loss leader that everyone needs concept. Something Joe and Josephine Q. Public can always appreciate. Bottom line, you can get the job done here in relative comfort. If you're hungry, you can select from a hideously wide array of foods, even healthy AND inexpensive ones. All in all, pretty mega. But you probably won't meet your next date here. I am please to offer a revised review of this King Soopers store. Over the last months, they have steadily improved to the point that nearly everything I complained of previously is no longer an issue. Management are now helpful and non-interfering, and problems with out-of-date, spoiled or otherwise tainted food seems to have vanished. The employees - every single one I've dealt with - are extremely friendly, helpful, courteous, efficient, and in addition, are a lot of fun. I have a friend who I shop with frequently who is handicapped, and everyone always goes the extra mile to assist them, often offering or giving help even before being asked. The store is clean, well-organized, and has a better kitchen section than any of the local department stores I've been to. The only thing I wish they'd do is stop putting the potatoes in the section with the spray nozzles - but apparently that policy is something to do with their corporate offices. Apparently Kroger, Inc. thinks potatoes are better when they turn squishy and moldy because they've been soaked. Potato nitpickery aside, it is a true pleasure to shop at this location. read more

I do most of my groceries from here. I've been to many other locations, but they have a small but very useful vegan section where I find all the goodies! I love the staff there; they are all nice and very helpful if you have any questions. It feels like a community and I like it!
