We went to a self checkout that worked with no blinking red light, and we needed to check out stuff, but had to remove an item. An employee named erika came up with a TERRIBLY slick attitude saying that this register is DOWN and FLASHING RED as it started flashing red for some reason (it had full functionality) and she proceeded with slick comebacks but I DONT KNOW WHY SHE WAS GIVING COMEBACKS when we didnt even say anything to her, she was just being rude for no reason. read more

truly a brutal experience. ordered a battery which comes with a free install. called ahead to confirm it could happen this afternoon. showed up and was immediately told I'd have to wait for tomorrow. after explaining what I was told he begrudgingly helped me. next I was told my battery was across the store (despite all the batteries being stocked right behind me). I asked if it was possible to call and have it delivered, to which they said no their walkie talkie didn't have batteries. on a walk I went to customer service where I was then told someone else would need to come and deliver for me. find a person, find a cart, wheel back battery. finally make it back to auto center 20 min later. wait about 40min for someone to start working my car despite only one other person being there and quite literally a staff of 6+ people around. front desk lady starts working the battery. finally lunch break guy appears and it finishes ~1.5hrs after showing up. told I can be reimbursed $10...cool. lady accidentally charges me for $10 (and wouldn't have noticed unless I caught it). stumble through corrections to now reimburse me twice. get to my car, the dash isn't lighting up & across the screen. I go back in to see if someone can take a look ... surely they would/could get the car back to operating condition. was immediately shrugged off as though it was a normal condition. finally convince someone to go outside with me. guy says he doesn't know, it's probably fine, if not go to a mechanic. I explain to him of course I'm not going to go right to a mechanic after getting my car serviced here. at this point the nice other guy in the waiting area comes out and helps me fix the alarms and displays. he unfortunately also realizes that they swapped out the wrong two tires on his car. completely disorganized, lacking customer service. It's Wal-Mart. Most of their hard goods are from China. If you have healthy feet, legs and back ...don't buy footwear from any Wal-Mart. The store is clean, organized and in a great location. The size of the grocery department is satisfactory with a lot to offer. I really wish it was easier to shop for groceries that don't have High Fructose Corn Syrup. I don't and never will buy groceries with High Fructose Corn Syrup. Impressive electronics department (the price of TV's has come down over the years). read more

Went inside to go to the handy grab & go snack area for a starbucks can. I love how it is right in front of the store. I don't have any complaints, the bathrooms look very clean and modern which is amazing. Store is kept very clean with an amazing layout. read more

Too many negative experiences to narrow it down to just one. INCLUDING almost dying because they put my car tire on wrong. Save your money for a store that properly trains their people in not only doing the job they were hired for but also for a place where good customer service is a day to day normality. read more

I have no complaints about this Walmart shopping experience,but it was very empty in the pharmacy dept. I'm just going to say this is why you need to clean the handles on the carts. I grabbed one and it was STICKY.I used the wipes and this came off of the handle. Wished they still cleaned the carts. read more

Very disorganized and messy. Every isle was cluttered with things out of place or not in stock. Multiple boxes were left empty and thrown off to the side. Pallets blocking the whole isle while people had to go around just to shop. Surprisingly found everything that was needed but found a better selection at the Hartford, WI Wal-Mart. read more

I'm so upset right now I could spit nails. This store has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! Two days ago I bought 2 bags of the brand of salad mix that has been on the news for having e-coli contamination. I called this store to see if the salad mix I bought was among those that were contaminated. I called over and over and over and over and only was able to get the switchboard who would transfer me to either the grocery department or the manager of the store. At NO time did anyone else ever pick up. I either have to drive to Walmart and spend in gas an amount probably equal to the cost of the salad or throw the salad out. We don't particular care if others do; it's simply our choice. While in line, the yellow vest thought it'd be neat to make fun of us for it. I'm centrally located between 4 Walmarts, so I combine errands and stop at the one closest to my destination to pick up groceries. I don't have Particularly expectations for any Walmart, but this place is the WORST! Drastically understaffed, and assuming you can track down an employee, they generally can't help you. And don't get me started on the cashiers...all 3 of them; despite the line of 4 to 5 customers in line waiting to check out. If I have a few items, I'm happy to use the self checkout, but when I have a cart full of groceries, I don't think having a cashier that is friendly, efficient and doesn't come across as coming into work after a 3 day bender is too much to ask for I will never again stop at this location unfortunately, Yelp is telling me I need to select a star rating. This Walmart is filthy! The bathrooms are beyond disgusting. The shelves are out of numerous items. It has for sure gone to heck since it's earlier years. On Black Friday I wanted to get 4 new tires. I tried the Hartford walmart 1st and they were sold out but told me they could order the tires for me for the same deal price. I called the West Bend walmart to see if they had those tires that I could come in and buy so I wouldn't have to order them and wait a few weeks. First of all, I told the girl who answered the phone the size of the tires and she said "yeah, we have those." She didn't even know the brand we were looking for or specific tire. We told her to look the specific tire up and she said "yes, we have those." We told her we wanted to make sure as we'd have to drive to West Bend from Hartford to get the tires and wouldn't leave the Hartford Walmart if they didn't have them, as I'd just order them there. She ensured me they had more than 4 tires and they would be there when I arrived. She was also very inpatient on the phone and informed us that she would be going on break with the rest of the automotive department so I'd have to get there by 3:00. We got there at around 2:15, the entire automotive department was on break, and a team lead was running the department by himself. We told him we were there for these tires and he told us they didn't have them. He informed us that the inventory listed the tires as "unknown inventory" and that to know if they actually had the tires, the girl would have had to physically go look in the shop. Obviously she didn't and was just lazy and wanted to go on break and not do her job. Obviously I was extremely frustrated as I drove all that way to pickup tires they didn't even have just because an employee was too lazy to do her job. If I remember correctly, her name was Shacari. I also think it's ridiculous that an entire department takes their break at the same time, as when I worked retail we tapered our breaks so that customers could still be helped. I've worked several Black Fridays as well in retail, so I know how crazy it gets but I would never lie to a customer and inconvenience them so greatly. After all this, I called the Hartford walmart back to see if they could still order the tires and they were completely sold out. I had to pay for more expensive tires when I could have gotten the deal if she just did her job and checked if they had the tires I was looking for. To make matters worse, one of the people working was telling us we couldn't "reserve appointments" as it's first come first serve. We continuously told him we didn't want an appointment, we simply wanted to buy tires as we can put them on ourselves. He kept talking over us and repeating himself and then left to deal with another customer, leaving us to wait 20 minutes for another employee to come help. I drove back to the Hartford walmart to pick up the tires I had to buy, which were $30 more each tire. There were several customers there who had similar complaints about the west bend walmart automotive department. The employees at the hartford walmart were unfortunately not surprised with my experience, as they say people go out of their way to avoid west bend's automotive department. Needless to say, if you have automotive needs, go to the Hartford walmart, NOT west bend. read more

I do not live this area but my family does so I frequently shop here. I have NO problem with the store in general but their safety policy is terrible. I live in Milwaukee and stopped in the West Bend store while in the area. The cart had been sanitized so I did not have to do it. Walked down the first isle and there was a lady (mid 40's??) without any sign of a mask. The next isle, a couple (20"s) no mask. I asked my sister whom I was shopping with if West Bend had a mask rule. She said "of course". After that it became a game to spot people without masks. We could believe how many people were not wearing masks. Not just pulled down to their chin (there were a few) but totally no sign of a mask. NO ONE said anything to them. This will be my last time at this Walmart until after Covid. I should mention I did try calling the manager twice. After being put on hold for 20 minutes and then being cut off I totally gave up. Shame on you, no wonder the US has the highest counts. read more

My wife and I have shopped at the West Bend Walmart for many years, and have always enjoyed the experience. I was looking for an item online and happened to see the way people ripped on "my" store! We buy groceries, clothing, garden and household products there every week and have never met a grouchy clerk, seen a dirty bathroom or an unkempt store. Even with the Covid-19 situation, the shelves are pretty well stocked. About the only negative I can think of is that the web site needs some attention. Keep up the good work, Walmart! read more

I'm sure not much could be said to bring down the beast that is Walmart. However, it doesn't hurt to say something in hopes that things will change for the better. A couple complaints about the West Bend Walmart; a lot of the employees enjoy complaining about anything and everything no matter who is around. It's a little bit of a turn off to have to listen to that as a customer. Especially when they're complaining about where they work. Also, it might not be a bad idea for Walmart to remind their adult employees that washing their clothes and bathing is very important before you go out in public. There is a female with purple hair that works in the self checkout area that smells like she dumped cat urine on herself and clothes. I can understand how someone can become nose blind to that but that must be her only excuse because I could smell her before I saw her. Plus, she is working directly with the customer so it would be a good idea for her to be made aware of this. read more

The employees here are nothing but rude to their customers. As soon as we entered the store we were watched by no less than 6 employees. When I say watched I mean stared down to the point it was uncomfortable. When we entered an isle an employee accused us of "playing around" with the merchandise when all we did was pick up an item and walk with it since we wanted to purchase it. After this point more employees emerged who were also watching us move from isle to isle. If we walked near them they would stop their conversation and all turn to watch us. This isn't the first time we and others have had problems with rude interaction. It happens no matter what time we visit as well. Very disappointing how downhill this Walmart has gone and only seems to be getting worse. read more

The customer service at this store is absolutely terrible. I was there to buy a TV today and was 2nd in line at the checkout in the electronics department. The woman in front of me bought a 55" TV and asked for help getting it out to her car which the attendant checking her out agreed to do (which was very nice). Unfortunately this left me standing alone with no one to check me out. When another WalMart employee got off the phone I asked him if he could assist us he said no I had to wait for the attendant to get back from helping take the woman's new TV out to her car. Needless to say I was not happy and left the store without making any purchase. I would not recommend this store to anyone and would suggest finding a different store to make your purchases. read more
