I am not sure what's happened but the usually employees no longer work there & the limited staff that work at this location couldn't care less about their appearance or their job. The inside& outside is absolutely filthy. The floors, counters are filthy with garbage lying everywhere. Many of the products, napkins are missing or not filled. The case with the donuts is mostly empty & is dirty. During the last snow the parking area & walkway was not shoveled & covered with snow, sleet and ice was very slippery. I am not sure I would trust buying any hot food anymore from this location anymore and the only reason I recently went there is because it has root beer on the fountain drinks which I love, but I don't think I will be attending this location anymore. There is another speedway on the corner of 60th & Layton that seems to be much cleaner, well staffed with friendly employees.

It had the $35.75 and it also had$125.00 charge pending at Kwik Trip. I drove back to that Kwik Trip and they told me they do that , the manager at the time did not know why but if it does not come off to stop back down??? Why do they put a $125. 00 charge on your card ? if they do that to everybody, they make a lot of money just hold that money overnight. I heard from several people that I know that work at Kwik trip that said since dad retired the son took over and is making changes to the business that just load up his pocketbook and this is obviously one of them , putting $125.00 charge on your debit card for a $35.75 dollar charge. I hope the dad reads this , I am also contacting the BBB and my Congressman because this does not seem to be ok!!!!!

This is the best gasoline station in the city south. Easy access from downtown (take Water south…read moreto South 1st street), just a little ways off the Interstate (take the National exit, go Eastbound towards the lake, turn North-left at Steny's), you probably won't find better fuel prices until Oak Creek southbound (College avenue exit). This station is so big, there's access off of both second and first avenues, enough pumps you will never have to wait if you have a credit or debit card. It's like a turnpike oasis, without the clean restrooms but with better food options. The gas station itself is 24 hours, but at any given hour of the day, you will probably be accosted by beggars loitering and some can be annoyingly aggressive. They aren't very good at chasing off vagrants, and they aren't very good at keeping the window washing-squeegee receptacles full of soapy clean solution. There is a reasonably priced automatic carwash, lots of car vacuum and tire air stations (you need a dollar in quarters), that are usually operational. They will refund money without delay if there is a problem. There's a very good selection of snacks (moderately overpriced), groceries (very overpriced), usually fresh coffee, some baked goods, and some prepared dinners that are made that day, palatable (better than TV dinners if you know what they were). They have a good selection of ice cream, fairly priced dairy (and unlike other gas stations in the South Side, they stock skim milk, not expired), and soft drinks. There's a late night gyros place that is often your only late night after drinking choice of restaurant south of the campus areas. In the afternoon until early evening there's a fairly good Indian take out joint, and a decent liquor store, all in the same connected area. Times Square pizza was here but they are relocating so I don't know what's going into that spot. It's in between the Oak Leaf Trail and the Hank Aaron if you're taking a cross-metro bike trip, but they don't have bike racks. I chain up my bicycle to one of the restaurant railings and they don't seem to mind, but they all know me as a regular fat-guy customer. This place is just across the street from Coast In Bikes, so there's enough to do here that if you have drop off work to be done (repair flat tire) you don't have to just sit in the bike repair shop twiddling your thumbs.

When I jumped on Yelp to check in it said that this station is closed, I'm filling up right now so I have to correct this on yelp. This Kwik Trip had me do a double take at the pump because there was two grades of unleaded gas one at 87 octane and one 88 octane which I don't remember ever seeing. This is an older Kwik Trip and not the really cool new one with all amenities and smaller but they pack a lot in. As you walk in the hot food smacks you in the face and you notice how packed in the store is. It still has fresh food, coolers with food and most of the gas station items like drinks etc. The free ATM caught my eye so I took a picture to show Yelp that they are not closed at all and were pretty busy on my visit.

A Long John is a yeast/raised doughnut that is typically iced and sometimes filled with custard, cream, or some other filling. The term is primarily utilized in the Midwest, Texas, and Canada. Other parts of the U.S. refer to Long Johns as Bar Doughnuts, Finger Doughnut, or Cream Stick (that one sounds kind of dirty). The variety I have from Kwik Trip had chocolate icing and a multitude of OREO chunks decorating its surface. Cookies n cream is one of my favorite dessert flavors and I was ecstatic that it even contained creme in the center. I honestly thought this was going to be a top tier doughnut but could not have been more wrong. All the bells and whistles are useless if the basics are neglected. In this case, the body of the doughnut/dough had a bland flavor and did not taste fresh (or at least poor texture). This lady has black hair, she is older and definitely should not be a cashier. Most cashiers ask for your rewards card. She just rang up the bag of ice i set on the counter. I thought that was rude. Her facial expressions where not for someone who deals with the public. I have an amputated thumb less than 2 weeks ago. When she was rude to me I asked her if she could put the 7lb ice in a bag for me. She says yes I guess I can? Then she drops the bag on the counter. I asked her mam you did not need to drop it. She says it is heavy. I show her my thumb which is an open wound. She says to me don't give me an attitude? I said give you an attitude? Mam keep the change I will never stop back. This is the second employee that treated me like dirt. The last one was a 3rd shift employee. I rarely stop at this location. This store is quick bring them in and push them out. I so miss Speedway that used to be on Sunset Dr and Hwy 164 / 59. Stay away from this store if you are a senior. Because it don't matter, get them in get them and get the out is what this location does. Very poor management for the weekend crew or second or third shift. I told he keep the change you must need it. I hope she does not have a dog. If she does, I do know what the poor dog goes through. This lady I never seen there before.
