This is a very good Walmart location. I needed to finish my Christmas shopping and this location one truly one-stop shopping. The staff were incredible, from Debbie who gave me an amazing greeting entering and departing the store, and Ben (I believe that was his name) in electronics that checked me out in his department, so I could avoid the enormous line in the front. I met all of my shopping needs for the year, that included cards and gift. I would definitely shop at this Walmart location again.

Isles are completely full you can't even reach the stuff that's for sale. Good luck finding what you need!

Double charged in line and now forced to stand in long line to get my money back!!! Hate Walmart!!!

Whoever thinks Wal-mart has the best food prices in town..........have you noticed the prices have been creeping up, slowly, but surely? The prices are no longer the best in town. Winco has Walmart beat hands down on grocery prices. I pay attention to prices and I can tell you that I save at least 25-50 on my food bill each month by shopping at Winco. If you want any type of gourmet food, you will need to go to another store. Walmart doesnt have anything gourmet (pepper jelly, ethnic foods, etc). This store is clean but the lines are ridiculous.

This photo states masks are required I feel mislead

YELP NEEDS TO UPDATE MASKS ARE NOT REQUIRED!! I was not aware that this retailer does not require face masks to be worn. Per Employee M if you are medically exempt, you do not have to wear a mask. I will not be shopping here or at any Walmart again. I also ordered a television online and the whole screen was cracked. I will only be shopping at businesses that require face masks be worn at all times. The woman not wearing the face mask was holding it in her hand!!! Touching things in the store! If she does have it she may have spread it, if not that's still not very sanitary. It is not the proper way to take a mask off... Employee m was very hostile and rude to me. She is okay with this behavior. I don't understand why the woman was carrying her mask everywhere. I have never been treated this easy at any retailer! Employee m also informed me they do not need my business anyways... shouting it at me as I walked out. The male worker she was with seemed rather stunned by her incredible behavior. All I said was okay I'll go somewhere else, nicely, and only meant until covid is over. Not forever, but thanks to Employee m I will never ever ever ever shop at any Walmart in this world for the rest of my life.

Items don't scan at price on the shelf but store personnel have helped. Many essentials are routinely out-of-stock.

This used to be my favorite store to shop at. It had the feel of a neighborhood grocery store…read morewhere everyone knows the checkers names and they know yours. Yes, the prices have always been higher than other stores around but you used to receive amazing customer service so it was worth it. Not anymore. Every time I go in there now the employees are rude, short, abrupt and act put out to help you. They have a ton of self check out lines now and usually one or two actual checkers working. So either you are doing the work yourself or waiting in a long line. It is without fail that something rings up more than it should and I ask the employee working in the self check out line to help. I am usually met with annoyance and a "cant you figure this out" attitude. No, I haven't been trained in your system and don't know the nuances of being a checker. Lets talk about prices. They are over the top more expensive than Winco or Walmart and often, Fred Meyers. They have digital deals but they are a pain in the arse to use and half the time they don't ring correctly at the check out stand. So, why come here? That is the question. Rude employees and high prices. I don't know what has happened with management because the culture used to be kind employees and now, I feel like I would get better service at Walmart, which is saying a lot. I will choose other stores from now on to shop for groceries.

Less than .2 miles north of this Safeway is a fantastic GEM of a grocer by the name of Spud's Produce Market: in this locally focused find they can replenish your growlers with local craft brews, they represent local bakers artisans and farmers (I bought 9 varieties of apples at the end of my last stop), and they have the best intense variety of coolio condiments I had never heard of quite literally went through the store loading my shopping cart to overflowing, and did the same with a second cart... it was like Christmas in November! So sorry, Safeway: my vote will always go to Spuds. Note: I would have assigned only 2 stars so unimpressive and unremarkable the location and what I've seen of "professionalism" among the floor staff, but Safeway Cleveland Ave PHARMACY? Big HIGH-FIVE and MANY THANKS and public recognition for the efficiency speed accuracy determination and the positive attitudes of pharmacists and pharmacy techs... seriously YOU ROCK!

The sushi is far better than other grocery stores. I want a sandwich next time though lol. Was good to see one BIPOC person working there. She said there were only 2 in the whole store. They can definitely improve there. Otherwise a positive experience and ill go out of my way to shop here when in the area.

Seriously, almost everyday I heard somebody just bashing their own job. Only one guy seems happy there. You'll notice him instantly because everybody else looks like they're in hell. I was even hired once long ago to be a customer service manager and they made me fried chicken boy. Always lacking what you need, prices through the roof, a weird layout where pretzels will be on one side of the store and chips will be on the other (same for many other similar products). I asked somebody once if they worked there because I needed help and the response was "what do you think?". She's now a manager. It's a store full of miserable old housewives who need something to do so they are now cashiers, and young to middle aged men who are scared of the world and think this job security. It's just another grocery store pretending to be down to earth but is full of assholes.

Their produce is so fresh and as local as they can get it! Oh and they have fresh big bags of basil and mint for like $2! Which is great because I just keep killing the ones I grow somehow. I've never gotten sick from eating their produce, as I do from some of the store's produce, like Safeway's apples. One thing to remember - bring your own bag/box. Sometimes they have extra boxes. And the other thing is - if you're only pick up a couple of things for tonight's dinner, bring cash! You can't use your debit/credit card unless it's over $5, which my orders usually are! They also, usually, have some past-its-prime produce that's heavily discounted! These are great buys to put in smoothies or eat within a day or so. I once got a personal-sized watermelon for $0.50 from that area and it was fabulous! Right now they have eggplants and melons in this area. It changes all the time! This is a great place to go for some beef sticks, they have many different kinds. All locally made. Most just $1.75 and super tasty!!! The cream of their crop (in my opinion) is their housemade Pico de Gallo and Guacamole! You can thank me later for that tip!! Lots of times I go there and they are all sold out of these gems. They are so good though that I check back often.

The employee I was in contact with made me feel rushed and was not friendly in any way at all. I only had one question and she was pretty rude when she answered. She was also the cashier when I went to check out and was so rushed, and rude then as well. I'm so disappointed. I understand that people go through things in life, and hoping that she is OK.... However, when you work retail and customer service, you're one and only job is to help the customers and be friendly. I am hoping and praying this is the one and only time I experience this.
