There is more than one Walmart in Salisbury and I don't know if the other one is better or worse. But this one does tolerate overnight parking and I can definitely appreciate that. The store is untidy, understocked and the restroom was in poor condition. I had trouble with merchandise that was out of stock in the snacks, in the deli area and in the aisle of bottled water. Dismal. The parking lot was tidy and clean with no litter. The cart corrals were surprisingly not full of carts. I'd give this one a pass next time. I am not the one to post negative reviews. However, I am very upset and disappointed by my experience at this Walmart. Today, My father experienced a dental surgery where all of his teeth were removed. We ordered some items and we went to pick them up after the surgery was completed and we picked up my dad. We noticed that we forgot to order something so my mom ran into the store to get it. The woman who was supposed to give us our groceries approached my window. I was seated in the Backseat behind the driver, and my dad was seated in the passenger seat. She started peering into the window of our vehicle because i didn't notice her, which i was a little bit weirded out by this, but it wasn't a big deal. When i noticed her, i rolled down my window, and she asked for my order information. but instead of talking to me, she completely ignored me and started talking to my dad. Despite the fact that he was in no condition to be talking, and she wouldn't even let me get a word in to tell her that he probably wasn't supposed to be talking because of his surgery. She then proceeded to have my dad get out of the vehicle and load our groceries into the vehicle himself. In her defense, she asked him if he wanted to load them into the car, but she worded it in a way like it was his only choice. Also my paper bag ripped because they decided to bag a gallon of milk and a gallon of turkey hill iced tea in a single paper bag. This caused the portion of the bag that ripped off to fall out of my hands and onto the floor which caused the iced tea to spill everywhere. Honestly i'm not looking for any compensation or warning anyone because the service inside is usually pretty decent, i'm just trying to let out my anger. I would recommend that you go to any other Walmart then Salisbury. Shelves are never stocked. The employees are rude and loud . Store always has items laying on floor. Bathrooms are disgusting . I dont know why I continue to give this place another chance. Last month I stood in pick up for over 40 minutes starring at a package I had already paid for while atleast 30 employees walked by and made certain not to make eye contact. Then finally I called the store on my cell and demanded assistance. When two ladies show up mumbling under their breath and being disrespectful to me. An hour later I finally have the item I ordered and paid for in advance. Then when I went to complain they call the manager for that department and surprise its the very person that disrespected me. Once again I order something and get an email to pick up at the kiosk. I arrive and the machine is sitting out of order with a message that says they are sending help. The message had been there when I walked up. So I wait about 10 minutes. Associates walking around trying not to make any eye contact. Then I saw an "assistance button". I press that about 5 times in the next 10 minute window. Then I was finally able to get a cashiers attention and she was so sweet. She walked over to customer service to try to get me assistance. She came back and said that the person was finishing up with a customer and they would be right over. Finally 5 minutes later a gentleman came from a side door and helped me get my purchase. For at least the last 12 months, if not longer, the Wal-Mart supercenter in Salisbury, MD is horrible There hasn't been one time that I went there to shop that their shelves have been stocked, there are always 2 or 3 items that they don't have - to name a few, Maxwell House coffee, Scott's toilet tissue, Cabot Seriously Sharp cheese, Arizona iced tea, skim milk, and I could go on and on. I always leave with a bad attitude and very disgusted. So until something changes I will shop at Food Lion, walmart is not worth the stress. read more

What an absolutely awful experience I've had today at the eye exam center!! I was in time for my eye appointment at 12:00 and the woman sitting next to me was also here for her 12:30. She was done with her short intake paper form two minutes before me so they took her first. I proceeded to voice myself, asking if indeed they had taken the client before me!! They said " honey, do you want your appointment or not?" I asked them to acknowledge the fact they were wrong and they said.. "you can leave if you don't like it! I go to this Walmart all the time. The staff is always around whether I go around 5 am, 2pm or 11pm to help find products that aren't in the meat, produce or frozen foods section. Most of the time I can find someone to assist me when the shelves are not fully stocked. The cashiers are friendly and most of them ring up customers pretty fast. None of the cashiers complain/fuss if you bring your own bags- some will even thank you. Occasionally there is not a greeter up front, but since the employees on the floor always greets you it's not a big deal. read more

Walmart is one of my favorite places to go. Whether it's grocery shopping or just wasting time and hanging out lol. I really like this Walmart because they don't change it up often, so I know where everything is. Prices are low, but high... Like it just depends on what you're buying. The workers don't help at all. They just do their job and when you need help and can't find something, they don't offer to help unless you go up to them and ask for help first. Even when it's clear you can't find something. I think there's only ever been one worker who offered to help us, but otherwise, they ignore you and some don't even know personal space. Some things just don't work at all and we just have to remember that that is Walmart for ya. My husband bought a $60 flea collar but it doesn't work at all. Sprays to spray the yard and everything, but won't work. Won't work on the cats. Made the fleas jump off them and now they're all over my floor, bed, and room. Ugh. Every trip to this store gets worse & worse. Every cashier station has broken equipment from the credit machines to the scan guns. Stocking is embarrassing. Stockers leave product in boxes on the shelves where the boxes collect & when u ask the employees to take the empty boxes they don't even do that either. The self checkouts are either broken, out of money or are not even stocked w/ bags.. 3 cashiers at 5:30pm.. who does that?! I don't know how this store keeps a license to operate. Probably the worst Walmart ever, which is unfortunate since it's the only one within 30 minutes of where I live. I ordered pictures online to be picked up in a week and I missed the call that said they were ready to pick up, but called back and confirmed that was the reason they had called. The lady who answered said yes, they were ready, and I could come pick them up. I drove across town to Walmart, walked to the photo pickup area and there was no one at the desk. About 5-6 employees passed me, coming in and out of the break room, all of them ignoring me. Finally an employee asked if someone was helping me and I said no, and she went to look for someone. I'd been waiting around 20 minutes when someone finally came to my assistance. I stated my name and she looked around for the pictures and couldn't find them. She kept asking if I was sure I'd ordered them right. I showed her the confirmation email and where they'd called me earlier. She still somehow thought it was my fault and had a very "not my problem" attitude. She told me I could wait 45 minutes for the lady who I'd been on the phone with to come back from lunch. I didn't have the time, considering how long I'd already been waiting, so I left. I got a call a couple hours later with the same woman I'd talked to on the phone before apologizing and offering me a discount. I told her I couldn't come back that day, but that my mom would be there to pick them up the next day. Well, she went and had the same exact experience. How fucking hard is it to hand someone a pack of photos? I gave up on that and went to the garden area where I wanted to buy some plants. The employee in that area asked if he could help me with anything and I asked if he knew of any native plants. He didn't, and just sat there and watched me google it, instead of offering to get someone who might know something or help in any way. I just wish they hired people who were more competent in their area of work and were actually cared about helping the customer instead of having the "not my problem" mentality. I have been to Walmarts in all 50 states. This is the worst. It wasn't always like this, but lately the pharmacy and grocery sections have looked as if people have been stocking-up for a hurricane -- every day. How about stocking the shelves once-in-a-while? Articles about Walmart's inventory issues have been appearing in the financial press for at least five years, but the last two years have made this particular store the poster-child for the problem. I wish that I could give a negative amount of stars! I used to love this store when the Manager Kevin was there, but no longer. The majority of the shelves are empty of "the basics"! I spend over $1000 a month on groceries and I will no longer spend another penny in the North Salisbury store! Not only are the shelves empty, there are usually only 2 cashiers (more than 20 items or less) on a Saturday, which is the biggest grocery shopping day of the week! I suppose that they are trying to force us to do Self checkout...ain't gonna happen!! I am not scanning and bagging my own groceries after I have had to wait for the employees who are doing the new "pickup" shopping to take the last few items that were left on the shelves! There are boxes everywhere but nothing on the shelves. Why can't people be brought in overnight to stock the shelves?! It was done before! Please fix this store before it becomes another closure! Walmart vision center sucks. I took my fiancé (now wife) to the vision center to get new glasses. First, the Dr was slightly rude. My wife is Chinese, speaks perfect English, but a few times, she didn't understand what the Dr was asking her, so I explained to her what the Dr was saying. He made it obvious that he was annoyed by that, thought I have no idea why. She chose to purchase 2 pair, though there was no special for 2 pair. The first was no problem, but the second were obviously warped, and sat on her face with a very obvious slant. They attempted to adjust them: no dice. They tried a second time, and brought the glasses out with the ear pieces bent at a 90° Angle, when they should be about 45°!! After trying them on, they were worse. We were told they would need to order new frames, and would contact us when they arrived. We asked them to contact me, as my wife would be working out of the area for a few weeks. Three weeks later, they still had not arrived, and I was told due to patient privacy, they would not even discuss the situation with me, and that my wife needed to come in, even though my wife asked them to communicate with me, and I paid for the glasses! My wife was working out of town, so we had to wait 2 more weeks for her to return. At that point, we went back to the vision center, and were, at first, told they still had not arrived. Upon checking again, a different girl comes back and says; "here they are, I guess they DID arrive. And forgot to call you". They were the exact same frames, still bent 90° At the earpieces, and we told her so. She was adamant and said these were definitely not the same frames. Flat out lied to. Disgusted, we demanded a refund on the second pair and left. I wish I remembered her name, as she alone is a good reason to NEVER purchase eyeglasses there. Need glasses? Do yourself a favor, and look elsewhere. read more
