Fresh off a flight and on the way to check in, I visited this Walmart to get some basic essentials for my stay-water, a few snacks, and to look for souvenirs. I will start by saying this Walmart is an older one and doesn't appear to be set up on the more modern style Walmarts are going too. That being said-the water was at the back of the store which would've been okay except there were no carts. I attempted to purchase 3 bottles of alkaline water but to my dismay, the cashier snatched them up and told me she couldn't sell them to me. I tried to clarify but she didn't really give a good explanation other than they couldn't be sold and then called a manager. The manager came to the register, didn't acknowledge or address me, or provide a solution other than to radio to someone to take the remaining bottles off the shelf. Not a great interaction but I can't say I'm too surprised. Also if you're not local, you may not be used to paying for bags-just a reminder for those visiting out of town. read more

I don't know what I was thinking, I am not a Walmart shopper. I needed a very specific mop within a short period of time, so I searched online and the best option for price and speed seemed to be Walmart curbside pickup. I also threw in a pencil case to my order as I started a new job where I'll need one. I never imagined having to wait 25 minutes for two items. I kept calling the posted "pick up number", which went to voicemail each time. The main store phone number just rang and rang. There is no option on the app to message anyone. Staff members were taking their sweet time, talking and laughing with customers. The first staff member I asked about my order walked away from me. The second person I asked for an ETA said "I don't know, I just bring the items out." Luckily the final employee I interacted with, who brought my items out, was friendly and professional. As a last screw you to the customer, someone decided to put a pickup sticker directly on my pencil case, so it's all sticky and damaged. The absolute worst Walmart I've ever been to. Checkout is always impossible: 8-10 transactions ahead of you, there are never enough cashiers (Christmas season and they have fewer than 1/2 the lanes open) , the ones who are working seem to always have some hiccup and no manager around to help, and the lines themselves move so incredibly slow. This the only one around here that DOES NOT have self checkout, giving you absolutely no way to get through here faster. I only come here when I reeeeeeaaaaaalllllllyyyyyy need to, otherwise avoid it like the plague. Seriously, when I absolutely need to come here, I leave 30 minutes in my schedule to just stand in line for checkout... and that's before I even get to the cashier. read more

Avoid at all costs (unless you like frustration) using the subscription delivery service. Tried, they select expiring soon items, arrives with cuts and tears if boxed or bagged item. Figuring out what can safely be selected by store is crap shoot. Then they deliver wrong delivery to you and (I assume other person got mine) and they then expect you to wait from 8 am to 8 pm for them to possibly deliver what was ordered. If you complain that you want a 2 hr window they then make up further lies as to why. It was limited at best considering didn't dare order certain items but then having the run around (after their error) and having to wait days for refund. Just not worth the aggravation as customer service pretends to care but does nothing. When I expressed how unhappy I was manager then claimed it was due to non-payment on my end. I told her I had proof of payment but she declined suppling me with any way to send it to her. Just stay away from the service if you value your time and money. read more

It's especially upsetting to see people who have very little money expect a package only to find it has been stolen. So I started a petition to have this corrected. On the home pages of these companies they state that they deliver to your front door. Well the first floor of a 500 unit apartment complex is not your front door. Hundreds of people come in and out of these places daily. With the holiday season soon approaching us, it will get worse as it has in the past 2 seasons. Walmart refurbished computers- not good. This picture is right after unboxing and setting up. They are supposed to be "like new". I am on my second Walmart HP refurbished computer in a week. Yeah, the first one started crapping out and freezing up within 24 hours. The second, which was an upgraded model, had visible damage on the front grill with dust still caked in there. The computer started suddenly shutting off and restarting. The hard drive sounded like a rock tumbler. I did a smart drive analysis and it told me the hard drive had 12.5 YEARS power-on time on it! Who is checking these things out? I will go to a small computer shop and have them throw something together for me. Unbelievable!!! Now I gotta scrub my personal info and files (4.5hours) for a second time. Find a different place to buy a refurbished computer. read more

I had a negative experience at this Walmart location today. I found a slickdeal on a laser printer that was in-store pick-up only. Of course, this Webster location was the only Walmart in town with inventory. When we arrived for pick-up, there was an electronic kiosk to enter your info and wait for staff. 15 minutes go by and nothing. Luckily, the customer service/ return desk is right next door, so I assume someone there will help me out. The first lady was no help at all. I told her I had been waiting for 15 minutes, but she insisted that I keep waiting and that someone would be y. So I wait another 5 minutes and still nothing. My wife got a bit more annoyed than me and went back to the counter to get them to call a supervisor. Well they didn't even do that, but pointed out a person by a cash register, so we approached her ourselves. Another 10 minutes later, we finally walked out with our printer. I know working at Walmart is probably not the most gratifying job in world (especially at the return counter) but I expect them to be a little more helpful (or pretend to be at least). Waiting 20-25 minutes to pick up an item marked "ready for pick-up" is just not acceptable in this age. read more

Last week a friend & I went to this store to buy some make up remover wipes. Everything was locked up. After waiting 1/2 hour & watching another fed-up customer start banging on the desk & yelling for service, I went to customer service, where 5 employees were standing around talking. It took 15 minutes for someone with a key to help us. She got the wipes out & wouldn't let us touch them. She told us they would be at the checkout or at customer service. She proceeded to hold onto them while she helped several other irate customers. More than 30 minutes later, we found the wipes (in a pile with everyone else's purchases) & finally got cashed out for our $3.00 purchase. It took more than an hour to shop for one thing. Police cars with lights flashing outside each exit, people checking receipts at the door. In general treating everyone like a thief. I'm not going back. read more

Just about everything in the store is under lock and key. You push the button and then you stand there and wait and nobody shows up to let you into the cases. This is the worst Walmart in the city. I finally gave up and left. I walked by no less than 15 different workers just standing around. AVOID Saw a watch I wanted on their website for the same price as Amazon, so I figured I'd buy it here instead of having it shipped. When I get there, the watch is $50 more than the website. The nice cashier says they can sell it to me for the web price and rings me up. Her register tells her she needs a manager to change the price, so she calls for one. After about ten minutes, he comes. Doesn't say a word to me or the cashier, just as rude as he could be. Hey pal, sorry someone shit in your cornflakes, but you are in the customer service industry so how about a little politeness. Nope. He presses some buttons, kinda grunts at the cashier, and leaves. She rings me up, and, as soon as I put my card in, the register tells her she needs a manager again. I'm running late for dinner at this point and don't want to wait for Grumpy McGee so I just leave. I apologize to the cashier, who has tried to help me, because it's not her fault her supervisor is a dick. She then tells me that this is the second time today she has lost a customer in this exact same way. They are lucky to have an employee that is genuinely trying to make the store work, because management obviously is not. By the time I made it out to my car, I already ordered the watch from Amazon. Hi everyone i'm sorry for everyone else bad experiences wish i knew this ahead of time. so i purchased the Hartz Ultra guard Pro Triple action for Dogs 5-14 lbs. Last night i gave my a bath and then when she was dry i applied the Drops to her. Now my Dog is a Rescue named snowy who i rescued from my friend. Now snowy was fine last night and was walking around and then this morning i went to wake her and she could move almost as if she was paralyzed. Now i know she hadn't gotten hurt because she been sleeping in my room the entire night and she had no way of getting out the room or into anything. i quickly got dressed and headed over to the vet where i was told she was having seizures that were being brought on as a reaction to the drops. Now Hartz does have some great products and i have used many of their things before but i don't think i can say that anymore my dog may die and a product that cost me about $10-$12 is now costing me more than 1,500 in vet expenses to try and rescue my dogs life. read more

I travel the country for my job and I'm from Arizona, across the country and I lost my debit card, desperately needed clean boxers, clean shirts, microwaveable food to survive out my hotel microwave and new work gloves. The First Lady was willing to let me put my card number in manually but because I was so far from home, Wells Fargo declined the purchase and then sent a verification text and said to please try again if it got declined. The First Lady left, the other two workers said they wouldn't do it for me manually and so I couldn't get my food nor clean clothes, had to Uber to and from the hotel to Walmart and back and ended up wasting $40 without any groceries that I desperately needed. Don't use optometrists. I needed new contacts and my prescription was up and needed to get a new exam. I arrived early and the staff was friendly. It's I am doing my exam the eye doctor tell me he can't give me an accurate prescription because my eye because it was irritated and that I will need to order glasses first and wear them while wait for my eyes to clear. I am now thinking to myself if he can't accurately prescribe contacts to me but can prescribe glasses that cost almost $300 he is suspicious. These will be permanent glasses. I said I am not comfortable with that and I'd prefer to come back once my eyes clear. He simply said they won't and his demeanor changed for nice and friendly to stern and cold. I said your forcing me to get glasses? And he said I am not forcing you to do anything and said you can get a second opinion. I quickly walked out and started calling around. Vision work off west ridge way took had an opening and I quickly went. I told her what happened and she told me my eyes are completely healthy and proceeded to prescribe me the prescription. In and out in 30 mins. Nothing spectacular just a routine eye exam. Don't use this Walmart. read more

Unfortunately, I live down the street from this Walmart. Not worth the convenience. Parking lot is a disaster, someone in jewelry wouldn't let me pay for tampons with the WATCH I was buying. Very rarely is someone helpful. So you want to see me receipt for water while someone walks out with a TV. Seriously!! I returned a bottle of Draino today that I didn't realize was previously opened and halfway empty (it was still heavy). I brought it to customer service and informed them of the problem. The short one with a cap over her wig makes a comment, "So you're returning something you bought over a week ago?" Well excuse me if I didn't get a chance to unclog a drain so very promptly. Relax, I don't know what kind of ghetto folk you're used to that would use draino, return it and complain. Not worth the gas money! P.S. I did a site to store once to avoid the drama only to have more. Was asked to complete a survey and someone from the store called to ask what my problem was!!! You know the devil is real because somehow this walmart is still in existence. Someone please explain to me whose bright idea it was to close all the Sam's Club's In the Rochester area but yet keep this dirty walmart open? (Yes. I used the word dirty, and if you've been to this walmart you know I'm not joking.) The only reason people shop here is because most of Rochester's inhabitants don't have transportation reliable enough to get them to Henretta or Greece. Whatever you do DON'T use the bathrooms here, the floors are sticky and I'm sure I got hepatitis a, b, and c from the toilet seat. (That last part was a joke, don't report me.) Simply put the staff is not helpful, usually too busy talking to their co-workers about how they slept with their best friend's cousins sisters aunt's babysiter. (Far too busy to notice that I need to be cashed out.) Some of my suburban friends are afraid to shop here. Sometimes I pull into the parking lot just to scare them. This is my go to Walmart about a 2 miles from my home and when I order online, The place don't look like in the photos all the time, i think whomever took them waited for the worse. The staff is helpful most of the time, I only came across one rude employee in the last 10 years I have been coming here, Like most stores during Holidays and when there's a sale things do get messed up, and like the other Walmarts you do have to wait a bit, but you can use the self checkout . I do find that the prices in the Hudson Ave store is higher than the suburb. I guessing that is do to the inner Cities stores have to pay higher insurance read more

Nothing good about this place. It smells bad, very dirty, messy. If you make it through the store to find the stuff you need you still have a huge obstacle awaiting you waiting in line. Usually there are about 2 extremely slow cashiers here so make sure you bring a chair for the super long wait in line. I try to not go here but when I do half the time I will put my stuff down after waiting 10 minutes in line and go somewhere else to buy my stuff. I'd rather pay more money then wait in line longer then I was shopping. If I must go to Walmart I try to go to a different store. I have no idea what the higher ups are thinking but paying 2 more cashiers will help the business I'll not the only person that leaves with out buying anything.
