I purchased some Keen closed toe sandals and a pair of Staheekum slippers. Both items were reasonably priced but not inexpensive. I had been looking for quality footwear in several of the larger department stores in larger cities without success. This is an old fashioned full service shoe store. When I called I fully expected to be told that they were busy and to bring it in a week or so like I heard when I called some bike shops in Amherst. I was surprised to hear the words "bring it right in and we'll look at it in a few days." I took the short ride to Batavia to drop the bike off and when I entered the shop they seemed to know I was coming and what the problem was. When I rolled the bike in I was stunned when I was asked if I had time to hang out in Batavia as they might be able to look at it and make the repair immediately and save me a trip back to pick it up. Of course I agreed to stay in the neighborhood and when I returned to the store 45 minutes later the bike was repaired beyond my satisfaction and the price of the repair was extremely reasonable.
