There was a store wide sale on almost everything, like $14.99 for cardigan jackets and $7.99 for pants and blouses. While shopping, a staff member walked up to me and said, we're now marking everything down. Items that are $14.99 will be $7.99 and items that are $7.99 will be $4.99. I was like ma'am, say less. I went all over the store looking for clothes, tried them on and bought them all. I got over a $900 retail value of clothes for $147. As you know, their clothes are excellent quality and stylish. If there's a Dillard's Clearance Center near you, visit them. You won't regret it. Macys also has a clearance center called, Macy's Backstage. It's called shopping smart.

I was in shock to google a lot of the books and see $1 books worth $10+. The store is well kept and everything is easy to fine. There are lots of name brands that you would pay way more for somewhere else. The staff here always greet me, upon arrival. The checkout is much faster than any other Dollar Tree. I also appreciate the precautions taken during this pandemic. The parking lot is spacious, so parking is never an issue. They also keep the area very clean and it's well lit at night.

She said she didn't pack a dress so we went looking for a place that sold dresses. Since the Bay St. Louis side of the bridge is short on souvenir shops like Sharkheads and Surf Style, I suggested just buying her a dress at the Hollywood or Silver Slipper casino gift shops. My precious thrifty child was concerned about Mama's money and said "Won't you have to pay like three prices there?" I told her if I was buying money should be no concern of hers... it was Mother's Day but I WANTED to buy HER something. Fortunately, the casinos didn't have anything that she liked or wanted so on the way out I noticed this Burke's place. I asked Red, my friend that was with me, "What is Burkes?" He said he had never heard of it,so out of sheer curiosity I whooped in there with my daughter following in her Fiat. We were astonished!!! This store reminded me so much of the TJ Maxx stores we have up here in Alabama. Beautiful assortment of clothing, I even found a Jessica Simpson wallet originally priced $42.99 for $14.99 WOW. After a wonderful win of $51 and something out of that $100 bill that I played out of David's wallet that I use for good luck, I told Red .. "Now I do not go sticking that $100 back into a machine and lose it because it would negate the win." He agreed, and I do believe that My Love, David, the love of my life husband, soulmate, twin flame would be delighted to know that I spent that $100 bill in this store buying things for my daughter and myself. We found dresses, bras, a wallet, bathing suits, some leave in conditioner, lip gloss, sweet potato chips and all other sorts of goodies for less than $71 with tax and all. I love this store and my daughter got a gorgeous black and white short beach dress with flowers on the skirt to wear in a very important picture on Mother's Day with her Mama (me) on the beautiful shores of the bay near the Silver Slipper casino. Hint: If you catch yourself down at the casinos in Bay St. Louis and need clothing or anything else for that matter, DO NOT PAY those outrageous casino store prices, you are within a short drive to Burke's where you can get anything you need for a bargain.

I won't go into detail about The Coffee House as it has its own Yelp listing. The other parts of the Cajun Village are the shops, historic buildings, and the authentic swamp it's located in. The shops include a wide variety of souvenirs, crafts, kitchen goods, t-shirts, and anything else that one might want. I am a Louisiana resident and enjoy shopping at the shops here. One of my favorites is the candy store located in the rear of a shop. Lots of old fashioned selections there! Prices tend to be fair, given that they cater to tourists. The shopkeepers are all helpful and nice. Other than the shops, there are historic artifacts and buildings to look at. These seem to have been moved in from various locations, and are always interesting.

This is the nicest and the one high end Department store in the bayou region, so if you need Mikasa or a pair of Spanks this is the only place in town. One thing I love about this place is their sales. I'm not sure why someone would go to Walmart for clothes when they can shop the sale racks at Dillards and find things of better quality for the same prices. Keep in mind that you are shopping a sale rack and will need to buy two season's in advance. I steer clear of trending items and go for classics that I know will still be in season when the time is right. On a lucky day you might just hit a day when they offer and additional 50% off the sale price. Yep, you can buy beautiful quality items for dirt cheap. The prices are sooooooo cheap that I find myself coming here first and then heading to Marshall's. If buying a gift, have them wrap it, it will save you time and money. A professional wrap job is far more dazzling than what most do themselves and it doesn't cost that much extra.... I'm a Dillard girl now and will be for as long as I live in the area.

But the pharmacy staff is amazing. When the pill version of my medicine became hard to get and competitor's where trying to switch people to liquid, they went the extra mile and found it in blister packs. Which means they actually care. I mean, there's a profit, but it's not one of the crazy ones (I know because I've bought it in the past as a private pay). So they just did it to keep the customers happy and healthy. I was across the street at my doctors office and in literally took 5 minutes getting over there. They still got my prescription done in a short time. I'm going to change all my prescriptions to here.
