This store treats every customer as a potential shoplifter. Even for something as basic and inexpensive as a hairdryer, the item is locked inside a security case. To get it, you first have to track down an employee, wait for them to unlock the case, and hand it over. But that's only the start of the hassle. You're not allowed to carry the item yourself while you continue shopping. Instead, the employee must take it straight to a register and hold it there for you. The problem is obvious: you're still browsing the store. Which register are they taking it to? And what happens if, when you're finally ready to check out, that particular register has the longest line in the entire store? It turns a simple errand into a frustrating, time-wasting ordeal. Seems like with corona virus they'd have this grocery curbside thing working better. Got here at 6:30 for my 6 to 7 delivery time. I'm in spot 10. I called in and the girl Said I'll tell "them" you are here. Should have sent my antenna up but I went to Walmart in raceland a couple of weeks ago and they were spot on and quick. Not so much here. Someone walked out and asked if had been helped 20 min or so later. They got busy then and 10 min later I'm still waiting. Now they are out of 6 of the items I ordered. Such is life. I'd find another Walmart to order from if I were u. Try the one in raceland Second visit has me here waiting an hour now with no contact from the staff. No one is answering the phone and online checkin is being ignored. Let's remove one of those stars shall we? I'm here during my assigned hour. Yesterday they cancelled my appointment. Good thing I checked my email before I drove 30 min to get there. Not only is no one answering the phone but the voicemail is also full. I think I've been to this location once before a long long long time ago. We are here today for the infamous Coinstar machine. I thought it would be fun to cash in our large piggy bank and head over to our bank for a deposit.... But the one on MLK was full so we had to trek way the heck over here..The gal at customer service( Patty) was super cool and clued us on on the fact that the Coinstar on MLK is always full....I'll have to add that tip to that location....and in looking around I was quite surprised by the size and extras offered here....I've added several photos of the added extras within the Walmart...a McDonald's, a Bank, A Beauty salon, a nail place, an Eye Doctor, steam cleaners, large bottled water....etc. It's a fairly large location and it seemed to be well stocked as many locations are not..... read more

Messy store, unorganized at times and horrible checkout speed times.

I went to this store today with my husband. He locked truck before I got my face mask. I followed him to the store, I called to him to stop. We were just inside the door when I asked him to give me the keys so I could get it. The woman at the door made a seen calling me, I turned and told her I know I need a mask give me a minute. I than got the keys and turned to leave to go back out and get mask. She stood there with everyone around and told me "if you knew you needed a mask you should have brought it with you the first time". She was very rude when saying it. Than I went to meet husband in auto department to return Marine battery that we bought five days ago because it was a 12volt but only putting out 9 volt. It wouldnt even run troll motor. After waiting 25 mins for manager to even come to the department he said it needed to be tested that would take a hour. Than we were told if it was bad we had to get the same battery no refund either. After testing battery it was bad as we had told them. They did not have another one would not give refund or let us upgrade. He called walmart on MLK to see if they had one, they did and he told them to hold it for us we were coming to get it to replace bad one. When we got to MlK store they told us we would have to wait so they could test it. We explained everything we had just done at other store they sent us there. We were told it didnt matter they needed to test it again, because they had not tested it themselves. We had to wait another hour. It will be a cold day in h*ll before I go to Walmart again. read more
