This is my favorite gas station in between New Orleans and Houma.
It is always difficult to write a useful review of a gas station. Most are a few pumps and a tiny shop selling overpriced soft drinks and beer. This location is different.
The fueling area for cars is very large. The pumps are spaced far enough apart that a giant dually pulling a 36 foot center console can pull up and fill up. There is also a huge fueling area on the side that can accommodate 18 wheelers and RVs. In other words, regardless of what you're driving, this station can accommodate you.
The inside area of this store is also different. There is a Subway, a regular food counter and gift area. All that is in addition to the normal overpriced drinks and beer. While I didn't get food on my last trip, I did notice they sold potato logs. I hadn't seen potato logs outside of Mississippi in some time. If you have a hankering for some, this is where you can get them. Besides the food and overpriced items, the store also sold alligator heads. Everyone loves alligator heads.
I really like stopping here. I think you will to. read more
