I have no problems with Walmart as a whole but this store does not care about the handicapped. I saw three operational motorized scoopers and about 6 or more broken. It seems that they just don't worry about getting them fixed or get new ones. Was told that the problem was that the homeless are stealing them. This Walmart is tucked away in a little wooded residential area. A lot of new businesses are opening in front of it & it looks like they are working on the inside making it nicer. The displays are very nice like at the mall. They have a decent organic produce selection but that's about it. We really like the organic apples & citrus. I made a huge order from here. They said it would be delivered at 6:pm. I have talked to the local Walmart and corporate. It's now 17 hours later and I still don't have my groceries. I have had promises, that my order will come, on several different calls. My options are; to wait on an order that is not coming, or wait 48 hours on a refund. Employee, "Tre", who managed the self-checkout area when we checked out, completely ignored me when I VERY politely tried to provide him with another customer's items that had been left behind at our checkout station. Instead, he pretended not to hear us, GRABBED the bag from my hands and walked away without a single word or acknowledgment. The behavior felt discriminatory because he was very polite to the "black" employees and customers around us. I highly suggest that their management address this openly racist individual. This was my first time visiting this location. The Good: I like that as soon as you walk in the door they have a convenience area for snacks, candies, drinks, small bags of chips, jerky products, pre-made sandwiches, salads, and even individual package hard boiled eggs. Whoever came up with this idea was a genius! I found most of what I came here for in this area. When checking out, I was directed to a self- checkout machine that could take cash. Though I prefer human cashiers, it was the fastest check out of any Walmart I've been to in America. I forgot my near seeing glasses in my car. The young man working in the self checkout area came over, told me what Bill I had pulled out of my wallet, put it into the soulless machine and counted back the change for me. That was beyond exceptional for my experiences at Walmarts across the U.S. Big Store with tons of every kind of items someone could need during a general store run. Food products along the wall had big clear signs stating what was below them. Eggs, Poultry, Breakfast, to name a few. I found thus very helpful while looking for Breakfast products and eggs. The Bad: There were employees pushing blue plastic Bins down the aisles quickly and expecting customers to jump out of their way. Parking lot was full and at near capacity. read more

Continue to be amazed at the lack of good business sense shown by this store. Every trip has me shaking my head at their lack of focus and inconsiderate treatment of customers. One night a self service register with light was available and as I started scanning the manager came running up saying that he was closing that one and I shouldn't use it. I asked why he hadn't turned the light off so people would know it was unavailable. He was enraged at my question and demanded that oho to another register where I waited in line to check myself out. Meanwhile a lady started scanning at the register I had just left and again the manager ran up and went ballistic. The lady also asked why he didn't just turn the light off but she used more profanity. The same manager was there a few nights ago when the credit card reader wasn't working. An annoyed employee finally came over and said it was t working and to try A,B, and C to see if it worked. It didn't. I asked why they didn't shut it down if it wasn't working. He said the manager didn't want to. I pointed out that I had now scanned, and bagged a buggy of groceries that I couldn't pay for at that machine. He said that I should take it up with the manager. Instead I took my groceries to another register, Un bagged them rescanned them and re bagged them. The employee made a couple of snarky remarks and I went off pointing out that poor customer service and incompetent management were not what one expects from a major retailer. He started crying and said I wasn't being nice. Well ditto. I don't think they were being nice, or efficient. Or even vaguely professional or comprehensible. You see a problem, fix it. read more

There were carts backed up in the isles. Of course many self checkout were open. I've been using Walmart as my go-to store for my auto oil needs....I have a bad oil leak. So I buy 2 five-qt containers about every week or 2. So, I am in there a lot! At one point - prolly last Fall or Winter - I opened 2 containers that had been previously opened and topped off with water. Thinking back, if I had checked them closely, I would have noticed that there was foam on top...you could see it looking at the marker window on the side of the can before I opened them. I took it (just the one) back to Walmart and was met with, "yeah, looks like 'YOU TOOK THE OIL OUT AND ADDED WATER.' I was stupefied. They turned down the refund &.....AND called security over because I was pretty hot. I didn't cuss or yell or anything that called for such a response. I was just not taking NO for an answer. They were accusing me of fraud and attempted petty larceny, I guess. I'm in my 60's and haven't the time or the money to go to jail. I said I was stupefied...well, I determined I had to leave quietly or else. I have never been accused of such a thing EVER anywhere. I just don't present as someone who looks like they would do such a thing. And I have returned a lot of stuff based on my needs or satisfaction level. I have returned open earbuds that I accidentally cut when I was trying to safely get them out to the plastic - sometimes lethal - container. Yes, of course, I got my money back. That's the way Walmart (Creighton Rd) had always treated me in the past. Pretty much no questions asked. So, I don't know what change in management they went through to treat me that way but it sucked I'll assure you. I look way more like an attorney than some fraud trying to get away with free stuff. I was born in Pensacola 65 years ago...Retired and moved back 22 years ago and between the old Davis Hwy. location and the new Supercenter on Creighton Rd. I have been lucky enough to shop here 1-2 times per week. The Walmart Associates have always treated me fairly and with respect because that is how I treat them. I say Good Morning and never expect a reply but usually receive one. My needs are not always met here so I shop elsewhere to satisfy those needs. Their Organic and Natural stock is improving and for that I feel blessed. I almost NEVER shop after 0800hrs and for that I do attribute the timing to my overall very positive experience over the past 22 years. I do not like the fact that they have eliminated most of their Cashier Positions in favor of the new Self Check Out. However, we are all living in a time when technology and processor speed is doubling every 18 months....Self Driving Cars and Trucks are here and all I can do is smile and wave...smile and wave... A new "remodel" which actually meant installing more self checkout and less cashier lanes, vastly widened aisles, which actually meant we're reducing the number of individual brand grocery items now available in addition to reducing stock levels of all items on the shelves requiring a frequent empty shelf space. Tara took extra care and went the extra mile to find out exactly where our TV was. She made calls to verify and make sure that the TV got to us. The supercenter on Creighton Road is a mile from my house and I used to pop in all the time for an item or two and shop for household goods once a week. I quit going all together after being disappointed one time too many. The shelves in this store are rarely full and on any given day you probably won't find everything you need. The store is often dirty, there are more carts in the parking lot than inside, and their equipment is horribly maintained and in need of replacement. If you go to a manned checkout lane the card reader will be broken and propped up by a piece of merchandise or taped into place. Honestly, every single lane I have been in has a broken card reader, every single one. There are 8 self-service machines and I have never seen all 8 working at the same time. You will be lucky if only 2 or 3 are down. These are the slowest checkout stations I have ever used. It will take several seconds after scanning an item for it to show up on screen and the machines often get stuck in a loop of repeating "please place the item in the bag" and a clerk has to come reset it. The machine will also bleat "please follow the directions for payment" several seconds after the sale is completed and the wait for a receipt can take over a minute. Hey, I love the prices but I'd much rather shop elsewhere. I may pay a little more but if they have what I need, their equipment works and the store is friendly, clean, and welcoming, then I will gladly pay a little higher prices. I was accosted today from a security person because I did not have my six mini cans of Sunkist orange drink in a plastic bag. But I had $80 worth of receipts in my hands. I was told it is policy you have to put everything in a bag. Really where is it posted? And why don't the cashiers let you know when you're checking out. The security person was a young cocky, unprofessional guy who needs to be trained in customer service and not aggressively accost & harass people in the middle of the entrance/exit of the store !!After trying to reach the store manager four times, I contacted the corporate office and filed a formal complaint as hundreds of people carry their sodas out without being encased in a plastic bag PS there is some thing called being environmentally conscious, not wanting to use hundreds of plastic bags. I called back and spoke to the security office at the store, and Josh, a punk hung up on me so I filed another complaint with the corporate office. For the money I spend in the store every month they can afford to do some customer training, and I will not stop until I speak to the CEO of Walmart if necessary these young yahoo security guys "wanna be cops" need to calm down and learn how to speak to customers who are not doing anything wrong. And the store manager needs to be professional enough to take phone calls from customers and deal effectively with her customers so we don't have to call the corporate office. I placed an order 72 hours prior to the time that I wanted to pick it up. I had scheduled an 8 AM pick up and would have been glad to except a slight delay as it was a large order. I was notified three hours after my time for pick up that my order would be delayed. That evening approximately 10 hours after I was to pick up, I was placed on hold for 15-30" each time then disconnected or transferred. Next day, I called again. Everyone was clueless why my order was delayed or on hold. I then was notified like usual with email/ app to pick it up (34 hours late) to arrive and be told it was actually cancelled and they had no way to tell me. I made a special trip to pick it up. Placed an online order as I have in the past. Set time for 8p-9p because of work hours. About 8p the tracker said the 3 items were on the way. Cool. 45 minutes later I get a message that my delivery might be up to 2 hours late. Huh? It was on its way, and is now gonna be HOURS late? Ok, I'll just call and find out how late. After 2 tries to get the Delivery area, the call transferred me to Customer Service. I told her I had tried to get ahold of the delivery area because of an order problem, and that there was no answer. Her Honest to God reply: "OK. Let me transfer you to Delivery." With those so sweetly drawled words, she sent me to Customer Hell. Of course Delivery didn't answer...and neither did any other department...INCLUDING CUSTOMER SERVICE when I called back. After many futile attempts, I gave up....and cancelled my order. Luckily I wasn't out of the items I needed. I will go back to using the Mobile Hwy store. They answer their phone. read more

I loathe going to Walmart. We can only ever go at night and on the weekend. Im always stuck with being in the back of a line when there is only one cashier. I cannot believe I am reviewing a Wally World- but I live within walking distance to this Wally World, so I might as well review it. A rather average Wally. The staff is what to expect from a typical Wally. The lines though are not that long- you never have to wait more than a few mins. Most of the employees have been nice to me. Not overly nice like they are making $40 dollars an hour or anything. But nice enough to not make this a 1 star review, you know what I mean? This is a nice Wally. It's your standard Walmart. Although I may take issue with the politics of Walmart and their international trading and dealings, I don't have anything against this store in particular. They're always clean, stocked, and courteous. It's not Publix, but compared to other Walmarts in the area, this is one of the better ones. They have a pretty good "Asian" section with unusual grocery finds. My only negative feedback is that I have never once seen the rows of cashiers fully in service. I dont understand why they have all those checkout registers (probably over 30) and only about 6 cashiers working. read more

The cashier was a nice older lady. Most of the reviews were negative so I was almost afraid to go into the store, so I was pleasantly surprised. This store is absolutely awful with pick up orders. I've waited well over an hour multiple times and some of the employees are very rude. There is no excuse for such incompetence. I wish corporate would step in and do something about this mismanaged store as it is in a very convenient location. I regularly pick up orders from other stores-Neighborhood Markets on Nine Mile Rd and Gulf Breeze Proper- and have never waited more than a few minutes. The employees are always pleasant.
