Mona Lisa needs to be retrained on customer service. Her lane light was on and when I pulled in she very rudely put hand up and said she was closed as she waved me away. She was doing something so thought she forgot to turn the light off, I told her I was sorry, and that her lane light was on assuming she was open, she completely ignored me. I go into the lane next to hers and two men light up behind me see her lane light still on and proceed to her lane. She didn't tell them she was closed, she happily took them. WHAT!? I thought she was closed. I go into her lane and she didn't say a word to me until she piled me 11 things up then asking if I needed a bag, yes I do, and thank you for dropping some of my things. What is it with Walmart? Is it a store policy to have great prices, be extra busy, hire employees who act like they don't want to come to work? The prices are great but the attitudes stink. No one wants to help you, and the lines are long. It seems like no matter what time you go there are pallets of stuff out everywhere. If I could I'll give them 0 stars, worst customer service ever, I was in the fabric department, no one was there but like 3 people stop by and they told us they couldn't help us because they didn't know how to or Bc a machine wasn't there, then a lady use the speaker to call someone to help us but nothing, we had to wait 30 minutes, I just got mad and walk out of the store with nothing, if you come in to this store, don't expect ANYONE to come help you, and if they do, most of them are rude. read more

I generally come here and have a fine time with waits and such and I generally come here for some groceries but as of a few days ago, I bought a gift card for Apple app store for $50 and when I went to redeem it, it was already taken and empty (likely a compromised/tampered gift card). I didn't expect much when I complained to them (or Apple for that matter) but they need to take steps to provide protection and much better care of gift cards and protect them so that other buyers like myself don't get scammed by the store when they can't even do anything for you if it happens. I'll still probably buy groceries from here but I'll be damned if I get another gift card and risk losing my money again. read more

By far the worst Walmart I've been to! 3-4 hour wait for an oil change and then they left my radio on while doing the oil change so I had to get a jump. I can't believe it! It's Sunday morning so 8:20am, but I'm waiting in line too long to check out. What's too long? There are 2 regular checkers and one for fast line. It doesn't help that customers have issues like needing price checks and using the credit card machine. - After reading messages on my phone, I decided that line should be moving faster. That's why I came early. The checkers are slow and probably bored and tired. (I can't fault them.) I'm so upset. I made an order at 12:30pm and got an email saying it would be ready today. It took them 7 hrs to send me an email that said my pick up order was delayed. I had the worst grocery-shopping experience ever! I took my mom, who is 91-years old and cannot be alone, to this Walmart. The cashier began rudely directing me to remove a bin and my grocery bags from the belt. I complied. The cashier then handed me a one of my items to bag (myself). As she did, the bag burst open. I let her know, and she immediately blamed me. I asked her for another bag, to which she said I would have to go and get it myself. She then handed me some paper towels and asked me to clean up what had spilled. When she finished ringing me up, I again asked if she could have someone go get another bag. I would have had no problem getting my own, but I could not leave my mom alone in the line--she would wonder off and fall down! The cashier stated"...we are too short staffed, you will have to go get it yourself!" I told her to just take it off the bill. As I got out to the parking lot, I was considering taking everything back, but I had spent too much time in that store already, so I drove off. I called Walmart consumer line and I wrote a complaint to them. I think about all the years I have been grocery shopping, different cities, different states; I have never experienced anything like that. I will never shop at Paramount Walmart again! read more

I wonder why is it that Walmart can't ever seem to catch a break when it comes to the bad reviews! I am sorry, but this one is by far no different from the countless other Walmart locations in terms of customer service, cleanliness and overall experience. I used to come to this Walmart almost all of the time. Just the fact that the customer service has really gone downhill here has made me not really want to.come here and spend my hard earned money. Besides, there's already a new one by where I live. It's just a matter of time before that a one is turned into RatchetMart! Pretty much the aisles here are littered with items, with some of them not being in the proper places. Their McDonald's is always full and often with no place to sit. I'll day one thing about Walmart-when the holidays aren't even here yet, they're ready for the holiday shoppers in terms of items. I cannot say I'd never come back because I'll probably be driving by here sometime and I might need something! 2 stars for their upgrade. I love their food for quick bites/meals. The staff at the bakery area are always friendly. I go a bit to often for their suprisingly yummy tres leche cake (no special occasions needed). (^_^) The rest of the store is a hit or miss. Like 360 type of hit or miss I sometimes I get super friendly employees that will walk me right up the item I"m looking for and search for it if needed. Other times I get a stink face like they hate their job, pointed in some general direction "over there" "make a left at the end of this isle" ..and where else do I go? Idk cuz they already walked away when I turned to look in the direction they were pointing. And a lot of times I hear them talk about other customers or complain about their job so I knoq why service sucks. Keep that off the floor please. Just fake a smile it'll do wonders. No one can be great at a job they hate. My main complaint would be when I call in and the online pick up center. Freakin horrible! Gave this place up to 3 tries for online orders and all 3 times they failed miserably. Sometimes I'm in a hurry and don't have time to go wondering around the store such as prepping birthday parties, baby showers or hosting a dinner/BBQ so I order online so it will be ready and I can conveniently pick it up THE SAME DAY! All 3 times I ended up canceling my orders and going to a different location to purchase. Why?! They can't find the item(s). I ask if it's out of stock. They say "No, if it'd out of stock you can't purchase it." OooooKaaayyyy....so why am I calling a gazillion times being transferred repeatedly until someone hangs up on me multiple times before I get to talk to a manager who makes excuses for her employees and still can not fulfill my order in the store! Because well they simply don't know where the item is nor care to look. They instead order it from a different store and it will take 3 days to deliver. Then my order gets cancelled. I place my order in the AM and give until usually 7pm but am usually on the phone for like an hour and barely getting Notifications of the mess AFTER I CALL REPEATEDLY and almost 13 hours after my order was placed! Another horrible thing is they don't always answer and when in doubt...they'll hang up on you! Like seriously?! Who does that? Walmart employees at this location does! I wish I could say I wouldn't come back here but I like their new market and bakery area (sister to Sam's Club bakery) and it's soo close. But I would never order online from here again. read more

I'm not a Wal-Mart hater...Wal-Mart offers shoppers amazingly low prices and despite questionable labor practices, they do a great deal to help the environment (look at how small the jugs of laundry detergent have become...now concentrated, the manufacturers use less water in the product and less plastic in the packaging--Walmart demanded this and it changed the whole industry). Have a problem with how Wal-Mart treats their employees? You know what, that douchebag working at Thrifty Gas doesn't look too happy either...you wanna save him too? The key to a good Wal-Mart experience as a consumer is geography as well as of course shopping at the wrong time of day. For example, when shopping at the Wal-Mart in Cerritos, the other patrons aren't annoying, generally speak English, don't bang you with their carts, etc...However when you're in the hood, you have more bitter baby daddies per capita; you don't want to be walking down the diaper aisle. Knowing this, somehow I still end up shopping at THIS Wal-Mart and at 9PM...Gawd, I hate this place!! You walk in and are drowning in cleavage...now, I am a fan of breasts, but if you haven't been to the hood before, cleavage is something that the local pale big girls use to get attention...and like the trainwreck they are, you look in both awe and disgust...The other night I saw a gal with 2 names written on her breasts, however she had 5 kids so you can safely assume that her back has the rest of the family and a few baby daddy names sketched out on it...Cholas must really be in to genealogy. Walking around the store with or without a cart is a pain in the ass...people just stop in front of you to beat their kid, or they leave their cart in the middle of the aisle and leave. Gawd!!, I hate this place!! The store, like all Wal-Marts is well planned/stocked, with items sold at great prices. But it's hard for that to impress me when all of that magic happens in Bentonville, AR (Wal-Mart's corporate headquarters). Much like Home Depot, Albertsons, and other modern stores, this Wal-Mart features SELF CHECKOUT! This is awesome, however, these checkout lanes are never open. They must figure that in the hood, they would lose more money in shrink (theft) and loss prevention (security) than they to hiring another cashier...so instead, I am at like the 5th person in line, buying some first aid supplies and dryer sheets. I was standing in line near the defunct self check-out registers with a couple of cases of Diet Pepsi in hand. The air was warm and humid and the sun was coming through the front doors basking me in it's evening glow. It was only then that the force hit me from behind. A grunt was the only sound that could emerge from my gaping maw and my body filled with liquid hate. This place is GHETTO and crowded and dirty. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot, I parked far, far far away from the store. The area looked sketchy!! My fiance and I only came here because he wanted to buy a freaking dvd and I wanted shaving razors. I have never been here before and man, this place is something else. The only reason why it is so damn crowded is because there is a freaking McDonalds at the entrance. You know what happens? The family of 100 come here for a shopping spree and dine on burgers as they shop. No wonder the joint is filthy. The aisles are so tiny that I don't understand why people even bother with a shopping cart. You might as well form a line while the person in the aisle finally decides to take a bottle of shampoo. The secured items are not secured. What is the point of having a security lock on your "expensive" shaving razors for men, if the door is open?! If you come here, shop at your own risk! I'm from a state where there are a lot more walmarts... and I definitely love California for keeping them as small as possible... but today my friend and I decided that we were going to be ghetto and jobless so we went to Walmart in Downey off the 105 dressed as "medical professionals on a break" (aka we wore scrubs). This is by no means the nicest or biggest Walmart I've ever been to, but it had everything I needed and trust me my cart was full and it was definitely at a lower price than Target or Kmart for exactly the same stuff in a few instances ($7.84 for the cuddly blanket you know you want from brookstone that is liek $25+) I wouldn't buy electronics here as the selection was lacking and the brand were shit, but 1.17 for trisciuts is awesome! read more

This review is for the Auto Center. The issue was my battery, which needed to be replaced. I bought my battery almost 3 years ago at another Walmart. The battery has a 3 year warranty, but I was definitely expecting some loophole that would prevent me from getting a free battery. I was helped by Tray, who was very nice. He replaced the battery, no problem, free of charge. I drove away feeling very good about the whole thing, which took less than half an hour. read more

Came here to get some cheap (pretty comfy too!) gym clothes and some travel-sized items. I was at target earlier looking through their selection and the difference between the two stores is immense. OMG!!!wow this was the WORST customer service I have ever had in my life.. Here it goes.. As I'm waiting to pay it comes to be my turn and the gentleman at the register at the very last register by the name of Anthony was having a bad day I'm guessing that he didn't care to acknowledge that I was even standing there with my 10-year-old daughter and decided to say "that's the way dudes get messed up" i'm assuming he was talking about the gentleman that was right in front of me that had just finished paying. I had to ask him "having a bad day" so that he could notice that my daughter was standing right next to me...then he said "fuck" I was like wow I cannot believe I'm hearing this! So he was finally done ringing up my things I gave him the money, he was still not paying attention to what's going on he's looking around and he handed me back my change and the change falls down on the register and I'm just looking at him like what's happening right now?? This has to be the Most Ghetto Walmart I have ever been to. Just as I thought the items were again scattered on the floor and the shopping carts suck! I came here to get a few items : Blue Ray DVD's and Mailing envelopes. I was in an Isle and some lady came by wrecked my Wagon didn't even say excuse me. Inside my head I was laughing but "wow" the people are equivalent to the employees they just don't care! Just a few thangs to keep in mind: If your Walmart employees have a smoking section, pls change the location from the front of the store to the shipping/receiving area. It makes more sense than having to see your employees smoking while customers exit your store with groceries in hand and/or children about seeing and breathing secondhand smoke. It's a sound business opportunity to make better choices for your employees n patrons that spend their hard earned money in your store to make a smoke-free environment....or at least, pretend. read more

Always check your ticket carefully because they always make extra charges. When you want to go to return an item, you have to wait a lot of time. Yes this place is the worst......as you walk in you can feel your IQ points drop. The customers are the rudest, uneducated, and yes ghettofabu- nots!!! Yes Im writing a review about WALMART! I was on aol yesterday and i got this popup saying 1gig memory laptop for $348. Ive been looking for a laptop so i thought i would check it it. it turns out, walmart was having some sort of secret sale. the had the laptops and HD DVD players for a hundred bucks!! PS3s for 299.00!!!! so i got into my "day after thanksgiving" mode and got up early to get there before 7. i had to beat down a few old ladies to get the darn laptop but it seems pretty cool, an 80 gig drive, 1 of gig memory, decent processor, im not to excited about windows vista but for 348.00?!?! it was a good deal. no looooooooooong line, no ghetto bonquishas rolling her eyes at me because im smiling, no psycho person chasing me down just to welcome me to the store. Let me begin by saying: this is a Walmart. You should already know what to expect: long lines, rude customers, rude workers, lots of crying babies, and of course, low prices. This Walmart isn't in the most friendliest part of town either. If you are willing to put up with all these cons for a lower price (on average), go ahead and visit this one if you live nearby. This location was pretty packed for a week day. Both my dad and I were like, "don't these people work?" I was looking for a pair of shoes for my daughter and left because they had a limited selection. The Easter baskets were pretty cool. The cashier told us it was cheaper to make our own. LOL! But hey, grandpa is retired and brings in the big bucks. We also picked up some movies and hangers that I needed. The parking lot here is a zoo. People just walk wherever and don't care that you're in a car and that they could potentially be a hood ornament. The shopping carts here are terrible.
