I told her that I needed them for a graduation party at noon and I was quite upset. She said she could take some off the shelf, however, they turned out to be Potato sub rolls, and not that fresh, and only 8 to a package. I asked where the finger rolls were, and she said they changed companies and didn't have them any more. I was upset, but I was able to get some fresher sub rolls, and I will make do with those. By this time the girl had walked off without another word...I was upset, but polite, but I certainly won't be ordering any more rolls from that store. I have a lot of health concerns so a store like this is just what I need, and while visiting recently I popped back in to see what was up. I was immediately greeted by several staff members who apologized for their disarray - they were redoing the store and a lot of stuff was moved around and under construction. I let them know I'd been there before and had been passing through to check the place out again, and she was so relieved I had seen them before their current state. While we didn't really need any food, my boyfriend and I couldn't resist grabbing some whoopie pies on our way out. They were fairly inexpensive, and I was happy to see they were made by Hungry Hollow up on 26. The cashier told us her favorite was the pumpkin, as we had gotten that and the chocolate. Once we ate them later we wished more were purchased, because (sorry auntie!) those were the best whoopie pies I've ever had.

There was plenty of produce, meats, snacks, and more to choose from. They even have an entire aisle full of beer, seltzers, and other canned beverages plus, an aisle worth of wine. I also spotted aperol here (not sure of the price) which was surprising since many of the nearby liquor stores or convenience stores didn't seem to have any. One thing to note, and this is especially important for those of us traveling from out of state who don't have grocery stores that sell booze (looking at you, Marylanders), everyone who is with you will need to show valid ID. The three of us all helped shop and load the groceries into check out and we weren't aware that we all needed to show ID even though only one of us was making the purchase. I made the silly mistake of leaving my wallet behind but showed a picture of my ID to the staff who reluctantly told me it was fine but to just not handle any of the booze myself. Oops! Lesson learned for next time.

He admitted that the tent was "done" and that this "was the last time he could use it" - but became so irritated that he threatened to tear it down and haul it away the day of the event - my father's 80 birthday party. A month later, when he hadn't returned my deposit I called him and he told me to come in so he could "run my card". He told me I would ge $80 back on the phone and became belligerent when I reminded him he owed me $160 - and when I went in he only gave me $70. When I went in I didn't say a word -- I just handed him my card and took an onslaught of verbal abuse. I rarely complain, but I'm a 6'3, 230 pound, 42 old male...and if I'm going to threatened to be beaten, called a "scumbag" a "a$$hole" and told "never darken my (his) door" for expressing my dissatisfaction I need to report it so that others may be wary. Take my advise, go to the grimy establishment before you have him cater your event - and see the operation. I'm filing police report, and a claim with the Better Business Bureau as a result. I really don't think there is any room for threatening customers and changing the deposit amounts based on a whim. This proprietor and this store should not be in business.

The thing that is frustrating is they seem to cater to the out of towners more than the people who are here for them year round. After the weekend, the market is empty and they restock toward the middle or the end of the week before the tourist come. Their produce is disgusting, nothing is fresh. Try to find anything in the store and it's a challenge even for the people who shop there all the time. And let me just say this about the choices, seems like whoever is ordering is only getting a brand they like and then only what they would choose. For instance they carry Brigham's ice cream, the only flavor, peppermint stick. I happen to like that type but why buy only one flavor. I've tried finding large cans on albacore solid white tuna and so many other things, that were always there before this group bought the store and can never find them. They really need to take into consideration the people who live here and maybe cater to the people who keep them in business year round!

I do believe that if the workers wanted to they could have given me a print out but instead they chose not to. Ik they could have printed it out bc normally there are other workers who do excellent at assisting with this. I believe as a former customer service worker that a minor inconvenience for the worker is better than a minor inconvenience for the customer/ consumers who is the reason these businesses are able to function. I am very upset by this.
