One thing to note, and this is especially important for those of us traveling from out of state who don't have grocery stores that sell booze (looking at you, Marylanders), everyone who is with you will need to show valid ID. The three of us all helped shop and load the groceries into check out and we weren't aware that we all needed to show ID even though only one of us was making the purchase. I made the silly mistake of leaving my wallet behind but showed a picture of my ID to the staff who reluctantly told me it was fine but to just not handle any of the booze myself. Oops! Lesson learned for next time.

First, I found a 4 pack of beer that had JUST been released in Burlington VT and then Portland ME (collaboration beer) and immediately grabbed it. Absolute score! I was super impressed with the beer selection, both refrigeratorated and on the shelf, plus N/A options, hop waters, mixers, you name it. Before I even made it to the beer section I was drawn to the prepared food because I was hungry and knew I would have to prepare something when I got home. I got smoked ribs (probably a half rack) for $11.99, Cole slaw and a broccoli bacon salad. They had multiple refrigerators and freezers with everything you can imagine, frozen Slab pizza, health drinks, locals meats, local ice cream, etc. I noticed a huge wall of local coffee so I will be going back to hopefully find espresso beans, which are challenging to come by. I didn't notice inside seats but that would be a good addition. For the ribs, I wrapped them in foil and baked at 350 for 20-30 minutes. I was so happy to find real food, prepped for easy reheating. Clearly peeved at the lack of enthusiasm on her part, he asked in a rather supercilious tone where she bought her vinegar. " Not the grocery store I hope." As he proceeded to mansplain vinegar to her, I quietly return to the shelves the several items I had picked up to purchase. She looked over her shoulder at me and gave me that look that people do, which says., "Help me get away from this fool!" I was in total agreement that we could both happily do without overpriced pasta, Maine-branded tchotchkes, and less-than stellar bottles of vinegar, unsurprisingly priced at some ungodly amount that would feed a family of four dinner. A dinner that would include salad, dressed with balsamic vinegar from the (Oh Horrors!) grocery store.
