Well I thought this was a nice store don't get me wrong the inside is taken care of. I am an independent contractor I do orders for the business. Yesterday I see cops there harassing immigrants for identification, which they more than likely work the farm nearby, I worked there on the past so I would know. They let their own truck driver park in the lot for the night and I did too after driving all day..I'm woke up with a flashlight directly in my face and told I need to leave the parking lot and no overnight parking. The lack of human decency and double standards is absurd. They won't be getting my labor at this location again. read more

Absolutely ridiculous wait times to be cashed out. They have only 2/3 lines open at any given time and just going to the store takes hours out of your day. They have absolutely no respect for their customers or their time. Zero consideration for their customers or their time. read more

My wife and I came at 10:30 pm to get emergency cat litter. There were 2 cashiers open and a two lines of 10+ patrons deep. What's the point of having self checkout when you close them down? It's ridiculous to have 25+ cash out stations being one of the most lucrative businesses in the world and you have two, two cashiers. Pathetic. read more

I was going to my car in a motorized cart. The greeter on Aug.4 2023 chased me, loudly shouting and calling me names for leaving the building with the cart. He even shouted at an employee going into the store. It was starting to sprinkle, and he shouts, "I want dry carts. What are you going to do?" He stood there whining and making noises. I am handicapped. He did not lift a finger to help me. $150. He grabs the cart and said," For future reference, these carts are not to leave the building. The worst run store I have ever encountered for answering the phone called every dept and the phone just rang and rang. I did get thru to the pharmacy after jumping thru hoops. I was at the Walmart in Oneida, NY for a lube oil filter this morning, 2/17/22 at 6:50AM (and parked in the at the Lube door outside) I waited at a locked door until almost 7:10. Another driver arrived at about 7:00 and said he was going to walk around to see if there was anybody there. When I finally got inside the second driver was being checked in. The clerk didn't ask who was in line first and didn't even seem to care. When I ask who would receive service first, I was informed the second driver to arrive would, as he was "first". I promptly went outside and pulled my car out of the Lube door and left. I will doubt ever go back to the Walmart in Oneida for service again. Very poor, complete lack of follow thru, and care for customers!!!! read more

If you've been to the Wal-Mart in Union City, CA, you would walk into this Wal-Mart and kiss the sweet, shiny floor. Can two Wal-Marts really be that different? Yes. Yes they can, little one. This Wal-Mart is clean, well-organized, and has a great food section that Wal-Marts near me don't have. It's huge and lovely. And even though the people who shop there often seem to think that sweatpants are the new jeans, and that people who live in upstate New York should have a southern accent and they're just the ones to start the trend, I still love this place. I visited the Oneida Walmart last Tuesday, looking for obscure items (for me). I was pleased with the organization of the store but more so by the employees. I probably asked 4 or 5 people for help. They were all knowledgeable and extremely pleasant. You should be proud! read more

An amazing and huge store full of just about everything!! Food and drink of course (a gigantic choice); clothes (incredible, low prices but superb quality); everything for the home (kitchenware, bedding and towels, pictures to name but a few things); well-stocked garden centre; pharmacy, photo centre, toys, - well, I could be here all day adding to the list! If you're in the area (as we were two or three times) it's a great place to do some shopping! read more

I have always maintained that there is a major difference between urban Wal-Marts and rural Wal-Marts. In rural areas, Wal-Mart is the go-to place for groceries, electronics, toys, school supplies, hardware, and random miscellaneous stuff. This Wal-Mart can get busy, but it's always orderly, with people well behaved, just going about their daily shopping. And yes, occasionally, you can get a cashier who may be crazy, but for the most part, the people here are nice and helpful, and shopping is a pleasant experience. Unlike some Wal-Marts, going to this one is not a dreaded experience! Whenever people look down on Wal-Mart, I just tell them to visit this one or one like it, and they'll understand why Wal-Marts have become so dominant everywhere. read more

This Wal-Mart gets three stars because for some things (clothes, shoes) they are the only show in town. Literally. Oneida is small. I like the fact that they have a grocery section. The prices on grocery items are generally very good in comparison to other local stores. My gripes about this store mostly have to do with the other departments--shelves seem sparse, picked over, they seem to have some issue with keeping things in stock. The clothes sections always seem to have plenty of the sizes that most people AREN'T looking for, and say, ONE or TWO of the sizes you actually want. I'm not sure why that seems to be a problem over and over again. Don't go on a Saturday or Sunday morning, or else you'll probably run into every backwoods idiot in the CNY area. read more

This place is an absolute nightmare! It seems like everytime I've been there, something goes wrong. I've purchased so many defective products from here, it's ridiculous. I think they put returned products right back out on the floor. I've been overcharged before, by about $12, by a cashier that wasn't paying attention & looked like she was on drugs. Good thing I was paying attention before I paid! There's a lot of employees that come & go, so it never seems like anyone knows what they're doing. I would only go back if I absolutely have to. read more
